If I could give Zero I would…read more I have a 2016 Chevrolet equinox with under 100,000 miles. It DOES have a rebuilt title from a side impact collision, but that has been fully repaired. Inspected and cleared (just to be clear). Around February I had the Rear Main seal burst, got it to Simms Chevrolet Service department. They fixed it, charged me around 2,000$ and said I was good to go. Then, I'm driving down the road, no check out engine lights, all the sudden the car dropped to reduced engine power, and stalled. It would not turn back over. Got it towed to Simms. The call me a few days later saying, it'll be almost 6,000$ to fix. That the engine has a very well known and documented issue with the piston rings. SIMMS informed me that there were multiple lawsuits about it previously and current. AND they told me it was probably the issue that caused my rear main seal to burst. They said the oil sensors in the engines of all equinox's are faulty and as long as 'some' oil goes past them, they read as good on oil. But that my car was empty of oil. Again, they charged me 2000 dollars, 2 months prior to fix my rear main and to put fresh oil in. I had driven my car only 2,500 miles since they serviced it. They knew that there was an issue, they didn't bother to inform me of it. They replaced the rear main seal KNOWING the best case it would blow again, and likely it would blow the engine. They KNEW that the issue is known to cause engine fires. And they said and did nothing. Then they offered me 500$ to scrap the car for me. Absolutely not good care, and absolutely not, a good company.

The staff at simms are great. They are all very professional and knowledgeable. When I brought my…read moretruck in they listened to me and treated me with respect. I highly recommend simms

WARNING! STAY AWAY! I leased a brand new Compass Limited December 2024 and it's been in the shop…read moreabout 10 times for electrical issues. One time it was on the shop for over a month. I took it back to them a few months after I got the Jeep because the warning lights started. They said they fixed it but they didn't. I tried touching base again and they ignored me. I took it to another dealership and they said it was fixed but it wasn't. This has been a back and forth issue and now we're at December 2025 and November was the last time it was in the shop. I had to hire a Lemon Law Lawyer. They are very dishonest! I'm very disappointed because I was very excited and the Jeep was a Holiday present to myself. When the dealership gives you a lemon.....sue. Service advisors know how bad the vehicles are because a few of them agreed with me and even said, well it's a Chrysler brand. I think they purchased their parts from Temu.

Do not recommend me and my fiancée walked in to look at a jeep we sat and talked to a salesman…read moretalked about the jeep went for a test ride and all was good we talked about financing and how we only wanted to finance through our bank they say no problem and we have yet to se any kind of numbers how what the OTD would be so we told the finance and the salesman that we were going to lunch and that we were going to get in contact with insurance to make sure it wasn't crazy and we told both salesman and finance manager to not pull our credit until we find out how much it is going to be. We eat lunch they call us to see what's going on and we tell them that insurance was to much and that we would be buying unfortunately well come to the next morning we wake up to emails say that they not only pulled our credits and they also only pull for their own finance department when in fact me my fiancee the finance manger and salesman were on the same page of not going to any other financial services beside our current one. Then the salesman try's to bring in another worker to say that he only payed $900 for a car s&s and renters which is outrageous and may god be with him. That's all do not waste your time with this place. Also salesman gave a dirty looked when we told them that if insurance was to high that we weren't buying rolled his eyes and scuffed prolly didn't think I caught it but I did.

Purchased a car, understanding it was as is spent pretty much the day there. Had an engine light…read morewhich I had asked them to diagnose at the time of purchase, stated it was likely an old code and cleared the code from the car. Also had a battery light I had them check as well prior to makingnthe purchase, battery was replaced. Test drove the car again to verify nothing came back on. Came back clear spoke to the sales rep regarding a warranty they were offering. Told it was good peace of mind to purchase it and that he had one as well on his car. I decided to purchase thr Warranty after he explained the so called benifits NVP is the company's name. I paid cash for the Warranty so in the event I decided to cancel it that it was separate from the loan. 3 days later light came back on, took it to a mechanic, turns out it was the wastegate solinoid. Repair was over $600. Called the warranty, pretty much wouldn't cover anything. I went to cancel the warranty for a refund so I had cash in hand for any additional repairs. Its been 8 days since receiving my cancellation confirmation. I was just told by the dealership that the refund, still haven't recieved, will be provided to the lean holder which was entirely separate from my purchase of the warranty considering I paid out of pocket for it, also not disclosed at the time of purchase. I could have put zero down on the loan if i so chose. I was just told that it was "implied" that the refund would go back to the lean holder if I canceled the warranty, it was not. If I was told that I would have simply financed the warranty with the loan, which I could have done. My recommendation, there are plenty of dealerships out there selling used cars, find a different one that does a better job. The car itself minus the out of pocket repairs is fine to be clear, its the dealership I take issue with. They purchase most of their vehicles from auction so its a mixed bag what you are going to get and if there is an issue, dont expect them to actually diagnose the issue prior to purchase and will likely just clear the codes and roll the dice it dowsnt come back before you sign the papers. Your better off going somewhere else
