I've never had anything but fantastic service at this dealership. I'm always treated kindly and…read morewith respect. I've brought my car in several times for various service issues and each time was taken care of expeditiously and at a very good rate. I have leased two vehicles through Simms and my salesman, Mike Diener, has been extremely knowledgeable and helpful and has helped me with any questions or concerns I have had immediately and to my satisfaction. I have referred multiple friends and family members to Simms and specifically to Mr. Diener and will continue to do so.

Inspected and cleared (just to be clear). Around February I had the Rear Main seal burst, got it to Simms Chevrolet Service department. They fixed it, charged me around 2,000$ and said I was good to go. Then, I'm driving down the road, no check out engine lights, all the sudden the car dropped to reduced engine power, and stalled. It would not turn back over. Got it towed to Simms. The call me a few days later saying, it'll be almost 6,000$ to fix. That the engine has a very well known and documented issue with the piston rings. SIMMS informed me that there were multiple lawsuits about it previously and current. AND they told me it was probably the issue that caused my rear main seal to burst. They said the oil sensors in the engines of all equinox's are faulty and as long as 'some' oil goes past them, they read as good on oil. But that my car was empty of oil. Again, they charged me 2000 dollars, 2 months prior to fix my rear main and to put fresh oil in. I had driven my car only 2,500 miles since they serviced it. They knew that there was an issue, they didn't bother to inform me of it. They replaced the rear main seal KNOWING the best case it would blow again, and likely it would blow the engine. They KNEW that the issue is known to cause engine fires. And they said and did nothing. Then they offered me 500$ to scrap the car for me. Absolutely not good care, and absolutely not, a good company.

I found a nice used car on Carfax and it was right in the price range we were looking for. We found it at Todd Wenzel in Davison which is about an hour away from us but we were glad that we made the trip. The sales person Brandan was very friendly and helpful throughout the whole buying process. I loved that we never were pressured in any way to buy the car, and the couple things we saw that needed fixed on the vehicle they were happy to do with no added cost. As a matter of fact we end actually getting the car cheaper because of other people who test drove it and it took the miles up a bit which also brought the price down. They were also very accommodating in that they had the car delivered to our home so we didn't have to make the trip back out to Davison. Overall it was how it should be when buying a car, no pressure, open to negotiate, and a great experience!

Pretty disgusted with our latest servicing. First off, they unplugged my GPS tracker so I couldn't…read moretrack the car while they had it, and didn't plug it back in until we were there to pick it up. Not only annoying, but questionable considering the rest of the story. I was out of town, so my wife took our 2016 Trax in for a clunk in the front end, which turned out to be a control arm bushing going bad. The replacement part cost ($180) was more than twice the cost of GM factory part ($85). While feeling a little robbed, she let them do the work because I wasn't around and didn't have the time. They also recommended the struts be replaced, which honestly really only needs new strut bearings for any noise resolution. It rides and drives great. Really, we'd have choked on that too, but they wanted an eye watering $1132 giving her reservations! That is ungodly ridiculous at any shop. Again they had more than doubled all the seperate factory parts (adds labor putting it together that way). You can buy a high quality assmbled strut complete for under $250, plus 1hr per side labor. All in around $700-800 tops. She declined. They didn't stop trying to hose her there though. In order to pour salt in the wound, the tech recommended a new $285 battery to her...obviously without even testing the battery in it...because it was 2wks old. I just put it in! Nearly $100 of that was for the simple install!! I think an Autozone will drop it in for free for you. Hoever, since we're hosing the female, let's throw in a new belt and tensioner, for no reason in particular mind you, for another $503! There's nothing wrong with either by the way, but even still, the GM belt is $17! Are they on drugs recommending this stuff or just stealing? All in all they wanted $3280 in misc "repairs". They screwed her over royally on an $85 control arm for $629, but now she knows to never go back, and I'll be telling everyone too. This isn't a Dealership, it's a true "Stealership", and I feel like a victim.
