a container of food and a bottle of soda

I got delayed for a flight and was not expecting to find any good food being in C terminal of DTW. I was pleasantly surprised to find Harvest and Ground by gate C15. the staff was helpful and the chicken Caesar salad is amazing!! I'll plan to stop by when I have a layover in Detroit..

Lemon blueberry scone ($4.25) and sea salt chocolate chip cookie ($2.50)

So happy to find a spot in the airport serving Mighty Good coffee and Avalon pastries!! For an airport cafe, Harvest & Grounds is really fantastic. Prices are not too bad for an airport, about $1 more than the original locations, and compared with the Zingerman's baked goods at Plum Market in Terminal A I think they're extremely reasonable - cold brew is $4, scones are $4.25, cookies are $2.50, and the brioche is slightly over $5. Of the baked goods I think the scones are the best option; I like the chocolate cherry the most, followed by the cinnamon, but the lemon blueberry is also quite good (the lemon flavor isn't that strong). They're really buttery and not dry or tough at all. The cookies are ok but not as good as the scones; they're the thin crispier kind and I found them too sweet. I don't think the sweet brioche is very good. The coffee is the best in the airport in my opinion. The cold brew tastes good and is not too strong (which is nice before a flight). I liked the Black and Tan (cold brew and chocolate milk, $4.50) - not too sweet! There are also cold sandwiches in the $10-ish range, but I haven't tried any. Service has been extremely friendly both times I've been here, and the location at the entrance of Terminal C is super convenient, so I'll be stopping by whenever I'm at this airport.

Worst coffee shop ever

No vanilla. No caramel. No mocha. No skim milk. How can you run a coffee shop with nothing... I'm peeved and will avoid this place like the plague.

Overpriced cheese plate

Seems extremely overpriced, even for airport food. The cheese plate was $8.99! I ordered an egg and cheese biscuit,it was amazing. They didn't have ketchup, which was a bummer but food was good. Staff were sweet old women.

5 stars for the drink! I got an excellent iced chai. Prices were high, but what can you expect at an airport? The real downer here was the service. It was incredibly slow, and your airport location should be faster than usual. Instead, there was one older lady who was very hard of hearing making the drinks and running the register, and I felt bad for her. She was obviously panicking and stressed, since she was the only one working. And after anyone ordered a coffee drink, she had to stop and make that person's drink before taking any more orders, so we were waiting in line about 15 minutes. Poor lady! They need to hire someone to help her out. On my way back I'll be trying a Black & Tan because that drink looked fantastic.

Swung by today running some errands and wanted to grab some Arabic baked goods. Turns out it's more…read morethan just a bakery but an eatery with a pretty extensive menu as well. So, in addition to stocking up on meat pies, spinach pies, and cheese manaeesh (flatbread) I also ordered lunch! They have a variety of sandwich pita wraps, manaeesh with a variety of different toppings, a few dinner plates, and the manau-wich, which is a wrapped sandwich made with their cheese manaeesh instead of pita. I ended up going with the chicken shawarma version of that and it was really good! Pretty rich with all that extra cheese but very good! I got the combo which also included a drink and fries, making it a hearty meal, especially for lunch. The sandwich was pretty good size, too, and could easily make two meals given how hearty it was. There's a bit of seating inside so waiting for my order was comfortable but I could see it filling up quickly during lunch rush. I think I'd most likely do takeout. The gentleman behind the counter was very nice and patient with me as I got myself familiar with their menu. Would definitely make my way back here for a bite, some baked goods to go, or both! PS--for a larger baked good selection come earlier in the day, I got the meat pies I wanted but I definitely cleaned them out.

My attitude towards King's Bakery is a bit mixed. I used to visit the original location in East…read moreDearborn back when I lived near that area. I enjoyed the food, but I was not a fan of the service. I won't go into details about that, but my point is I didn't want to give them business when there were plenty of bakeries I felt were more deserving of my money. But of course like many other restaurants in Dearborn they decided to open shop in Canton. Decided to give them a chance, so I ordered one item that I considered a classic item for me and one that was a relatively new addition. This led me to get a cheese and pepperoni manaeesh as well as the hot honey buffalo chicken slider (which came recommended by the cashier who claimed it was his idea). I will say I was pleased with the service here and I throughly enjoyed the food which was made fresh. My only complaint was the chicken slider was too messy and the buns barely existed so holding it was a pain. Beyond that the place looks like a typical Lebanese owned bakery which felt authentic to me. It's definitely a take out place, but you can't go wrong eating there if you don't mind the simple feel. Will come back again for sure
