Noticed the bakery driving down Ford Road on the way to an event. Put bakery name in Yelp and based on pictures and reviews, decided to stop before heading home after our event. So glad to we did!! Patient and kind staff as we arrived 10 minutes prior to closing. Tried the thumb print raspberry cookie, chocolate raspberry layer cake and a Dubai style baklava in a somewhat mini horn shape. The cake was so light, moist and flavorful. Frosting was incredible and again the texture of the cake was perfect. The baklava was just pistachio heaven in an amazing pastry. The last few times I was in the area, Luca Pastry has been on my list of places to visit. The Canton branch is located next to the strip mall containing the Outback Steakhouse. For a group lunch gathering over the recent holiday weekend, I dropped by in the morning to pick up a variety of baked goods for the event. No customers were inside at the time, however several workers were busy assembling preorders made online or over the phone. Prices for cakes, cannoli, cookies, macarons, and pastries were listed on a small menu chalkboard to the right when you walked in. The display cases at the service counter were filled with all types of samples. Some party size trays with assorted selections were available, but the quantities were larger than what I was seeking. I settled on four small cannoli, two lobster tails, and four cupcakes with football team colored sprinkles. The shell on the cannoli was quite crispy while the ricotta filling was smooth and creamy. Lobster tails are not an item that I see very often at a bakery. The cream puff dough shaped like the crustacean's tail was filled with Bavarian cream. This was a rich and decadent treat. The chocolate and vanilla-flavored cupcakes were soft and moist at $2.50 each. The quality of all the products was solid and deserved a four star rating. read more

While leaving the nearby Genova pizza I witnessed a small girl approach this shop. She carefully held onto her parents hand until she reached the sidewalk. I truly understand this child and her reaction, this is a serious treat. I have not tried everything yet. No worries, I will. This is a charming store with friendly staff and a great selection. Super clean and everything is attractive in appearance yet approachable. Colorful macarons you expect but the cookies also bloom with pigment. The cakes are pretty without being overly fussy. You will not suffer with twee decor that has you declaring it too pretty to eat, this invites you to take a bite and enjoy. I could not decide between the lobster tails so I got one of each like a glutton. The lushly creamy Bavarian cream is the better match with the super crispy pastry. I think the cannoli filling belongs in the standard cannoli shells but is still very good in the lobster tails. Both types of cannoli are solid winners, my dad traded bites for lobster tail samples. Happy sigh. My mom went nuts for her box of assorted Italian cookies. She declares that their chocolate is perfect. Not overwhelmed or should I say underwhelmed by too much sugar. I asked if she had a particular fave but she said it was too hard to choose and she liked the variety of a mixed pound. My husband had a chocolate covered Brownie which would have been my last pick from the plethora of goodies. I had a bite and while it's not my thing it was still very tasty. He was quite pleased. Yum, the cakes here are fabulous. We ordered a raspberry lemon cake and it came in 3 layers with fresh raspberry filling that you can tell they puréed from real raspberries, not just jam. The lemon portion of it was equally as good and refreshing! You can taste and feel the real butter in the buttercream frosting and it was not too sweet which we all appreciated. The chocolate cake was incredibly tender; the cream was light and fun. As well, I sampled the lobster tail. I loved the crispiness of the thin pastry and the ricotta cannoli cream with loads of chocolate chips. My mom lives near here so I've had Luca in my sights since they opened but I just never seemed to line up the timing right to get there. Then, the other day, my husband was driving by and I said "TODAY IS THE DAY." I placed my order through their super easy online ordering system and my husband ran in to pick it up and 20 minutes later we were enjoying some of the most delectable treats I've had in a very long time. We got a couple of cannoli (ricotta and cream filled), two lobster tails (cream and ricotta), a slice of their version of bumpy cake, and a slice of tiramisu. And it was all excellent. In particular I liked the ricotta fillings best as they were a little less sweet. But I would not say no to any of them! And the bumpy cake? Oh man. The cake was so soft and the whipped cream was light as air. The tiramisu I saved for my husband as it's his favorite dessert, but I did take a bite and it was amazing. The moment we finished our treats I regretted not getting more. And we ordered plenty! Went to pick food from Genova Pizzeria and stopped by Lucas with a craving for something sweet. There were lot of pre-made cakes available as it was New Years Eve. We picked Lemon and Raspberry Cake. The look of this cake was too tempting. Cake was delicious, flavorful and moist. It was fairly priced and the selection was good. We gobbled up in a rage of guilty pleasure. It is so hard to find a bakery these days that have cakes available to purchase that day that are good but Luca pastry fits the bill. I had to get a last minute birthday cake and decided to try it out. They had at least 7 different cakes you could purchase the same day and they will decorate it for you also. I got the French vanilla and it was so good! It looked so pretty with decorative macaroon cookies on top which looked different than other bakeries and tasted way better too. The following week was my birthday and someone went and purchased the cannoli cake for me. That is not my favorite flavor but it was still very good and really prettily decorated. They also have many different flavors of cookies, cannolis and other little desserts. Definitely will be back for more! read more

I feel like I've been living under a rock or something! This has been the pastry shop of my dreams. Everything in their display looks absolutely delicious. It's really hard to decide on something for sure. I needed something to take to a friends house and decided on the strawberry and cream cake. It was so pretty! I was pleasantly surprised at how many beautiful cakes they had ready to go in their display. Tuxedo cake, Oreo, carrot, chocolate, Neapolitan! So many options! So glad to have this family owned bakery in town! We've needed this in Canton and it's already a big hit. Hubby and I visited here for dessert after dinner. I knew dessert would be more affordable here. And I was right! Great prices and so many choices in sweets. We bought a piece of pumpkin cheesecake, an eclair, and a cannoli. I wasn't a huge fan of the eclair (that was hubby's choice) but the other two were so delicious. The pumpkin cheesecake was rich and flavorful and the cannoli was the best I've ever had. We've have several cakes, cannolis, cake pops, and eclairs, but our FAVORITE for an indulgent treat are the lobster tails! Baked crispy and flaky on the outside and soft on the inside, I appreciate the beautiful layering! We also ordered their double chocolate cake for a First Communion - it was done beautifully! The woman who took our order was so friendly and easygoing. We ordered a half sweet but I forgot the cakes are tall! We ended up freezing some of the cake to enjoy later! Bonus: They sometimes have cassata desserts! I tried cassata on the East Side at Mannino's bakery during a cake tasting for our wedding, and still 10 years later I could not find it done anywhere in this area. We had a cassata parfait - YUM Parking: plentiful, but to exit onto Ford Rd I prefer to drive behind the bakery, across the neighboring parking lot, onto a side street. COVID: Masks strictly enforced. Distance is okay. Surfaces appear sterile. Payment is VERY well distanced. Pastries: Tiramisu is great. Macarons are good. Cake lollipops are mediocre. The chocolate one was too bitter for my son and I had to eat it - I enjoyed it but what looks like a kid's treat should be advertised as a semi-bitter adult treat with sprinkles on top. My younger son lucked out with the vanilla which they both loved. I've been here before, and I'll return. This is great pastries and they're fortunately busy despite the lockdown. $4 for a slice of cake sounds stiff until you taste a bite of their banana crème or cookies and crème cake. :) read more
