Got the cheese manakeesh and zataar manakeesh, and they were both great. The bread had a good crunch outside and was soft inside. The cheese blend was one of the best we've had. Service was good - a guy baking, a girl at the front. While we sat and ate, we noticed customers coming in and out, showing they keep cranking out fresh bread. Overall, a solid bakery. I drove all the way up from Monroe Michigan because I heard great things about this place. I got online to check their hours and placed an order. Arrived and they closed an hour early. Guys, that just not cool. If you want skip out early then turn off the online ordering or just stay until closing time. I wasted A LOT of time and gas for nothing. But the bubble tea place next door blew my mind with a fantastic milk cap bubble tea. It was pricey but very very flavorful. I wasn't so upset after that. But Mr baker lost my business forever. My mom lives in Canton and, as former residents of Dearborn, we were super excited to see this bakery open! My mom has been a few times now but I stopped in myself yesterday and was overjoyed to see everything they offer. I got some meat pies, cheese pies, cheese manakeesh and some sweet croissants and they were all delicious. The meat pies have a bit more of a kick to them than others I've had in the area but I still really enjoy them. I'm pretty sure the gentleman that helped me out was the owner and he was VERY kind and helpful, offering to make me more cheese manakeesh (I cleaned him out, haha). Prices were very reasonable for the quality and I like that you can also preorder for pick up through Yelp. But now I have the fortune of driving 3 minutes down the street to get my fill of meat pies, baklava, and other traditional baked goods. Can't complain about my assortment of sweets. For having only been open 6 days - and during Ramadan, no less - this new bakery has really got it together. I got a mixed tray of baklava and a dozen manakeesh (pies and flatbread) on a whim after dinner nearby, and after sampling one spinach pie on my way out the door, I had to go back to order again after devouring a box in the car. I don't think I was the only customer who turned back for more, either (how can you have regulars after less than a week in business)! From light, crispy baklava to UNBELIEVABLE fresh spinach pies baked with an airy, toasted crust wrapping a fluffy, delicate, slightly tangy spinach filling), Mr. Baker's simply brought the some of best of Dearborn to Canton. If you've made your way across Dearborn, you've experienced the bountiful wonders, fake palm trees, and landscape murals of Shatila, New Yasmeen Bakery, etc. - and likely pulled a number to stand in line for the privilege. Mr. Baker isn't that - it's an unassuming white box bakery with hot, cold, and dry cases on display in the most ethnically-eclectic strip mall on Ford Road, next to the understated Korean Kimchi, Desi fusion Pizzawala, and the over-the-top Indian street food emporium Neehee's. There's also a beverage fridge with the usual sugary soft drinks, but sadly no ayran. What they do have, though, they've done excellently - quality, not quantity, rules the day here. Mr. Baker's menu is short, sweet, and not yet on display - but who needs menus when the glorious goods are there behind a wall of glass for all to see. They have some Americanized mini-flatbread options I hadn't tried before (pizza, broccoli & cheese, etc.) but the traditional za'atar, meat, and especially the spinach pie were all great - lighter, less doughy, and more textured than I've had elsewhere. I did mention the spinach pies, right? Pretty sure they're the best we've ever had, and my family's had a lot - a revelation even for my wife who grew up in Dearborn. This is the kind of place you can run in, ask for a tray or dozen or half, point your way to enough for 6-10 people, and be out the door in like 3 minutes. That is, as long as you don't eat everything before you even turn on your car, and have to go back to order it all again. You just might. You've been warned. I never intended on going to this bakery. Today, I wanted a pasty. Unfortunately, all the pasty shops are closed on Monday. I did another search for a pasty shop and this place came up in the search results. No pasties although their menu intrigued me. I'm always up for trying new things. We had the cheese, meat, Za'atar Manakeesh, Pizza roll and, some Turkish pistachio pastries. All the bread is freshly baked while you wait and you will not have to wait long. The cheese Manakeesh is baked bread with cheese on top. The amount of cheese given was very generous. My daughter says it would be much better with sauce. The meat Manakeesh was different. The meat was pink in color. The taste was unique. Something I am not familiar with The Za'atar Manakeesh had various spices topped with olive oil and Zaatar spice. Zaatar is a spice blend of Tyme( or Oregano ), Coriander, Cumin, Sesame seeds, Sumac, Salt and, Aleppo chili. I did enjoy this Manakeesh. The staff was very friendly. The inside of the restaurant is very simplistic. Since I'm not familiar with this part of Middle Eastern cuisine, I will not deduct points since I don't know what the food should truly taste like. Cantons first Lebanese breakfast bakery! This was long overdue and so welcomed. Their food is delicious!

I went on a Sun around noon. I was told that was the best time to go that day because everything starts to come out fresh. The staff was very friendly. The food was delicious. I got a dozen spinach pies which ends up being $0.75 a piece for $9 or you can buy one $1. I recommend getting all 12 because, it's so tasty!! I had also bought 2 large za'atar manakeesh and 1 large cheese manakeesh. Both was warm, fresh and delicious!! I can't wait to go back and try some other items. read more

Pretty good for what it is. Cheap and great tasting. The manakeesh is basically a flatbread with toppings. Kafta is my favorite. XL is a very good portion. I want to make everybody aware that when you order online, the price of an XL pie is $8.45. I thought initially that the prices went up. I placed my carry out order and left to the store to pick it up. I was amazed to see that the prices at the bakery are still 5.45 for a XL pie. So Grub Hub charged me $3/ pie for sending me an email, nothing else. More exactly 55% markup for absolutely nothing. I placed the order online, I went to pick it up. What a scam!!! Very unethical. i got pita some bread fresh out of the oven. it was soft and had a beautiful aroma. you could taste the bloom of the risen bread. they took time to let it rise and build a great flavor. I loved the great pricing on the meat and spinach pies. they were very soft, unlike the other places I have bought which became me hard very quickly. I loved the spinach pies. the delicate lemon flavor and the soft dough made me regret not buying 2 dozen. I had the cashew and pistachio bakalava. it was crunchy, not soggy. the flavor was soft and sweet rose water which did not detract from the pastry flavor. I don't need to go back to Dearborn because this place is so good. quality ingredient give expert care. They have set a new standard. I won't settle for anything less. read more
