I've only tried the croissants at Mr. Baker. They are soft, flaky, and flavorful with various flavors including cheese and za'atar. The blend of European and Middle Eastern flavors is delicious. The menu is extensive and includes baklava, cakes, mini pies, and manakeesh. Located on Ford Road, Mr. Baker is a convenient stop when driving through Canton or on one's way to Ann Arbor or Ypsilanti.

The place is clean. The Maneesh are freshly made when ordered. I ordered Zaatar, cheese, and meat pies. I also had an assortment of the baklava that are made in house too. And a couple of croissants. The bread was great, the zaatar had flavor, the cheese was melty and gooey and the meat pie was very flavorful too. I will be back. It's a family run business and the family is very nice.

The staff here are nothing short of AMAZING! I needed a last minute cake for my daughter took them a photo and they nailed it!!! Prices are great food is amazing and the vibes are even better. This is the perfect. Keep up the great work Mr Baker and family

Wonderful, personable service and amazing flatbreads (manakeesh). They have a wonderful array of pastries, donuts, and baklava and their prices are excellent. An excellent place to make a regular stop when you're looking for lunch or to satisfy a sweet tooth.

My mom lives in Canton and, as former residents of Dearborn, we were super excited to see this bakery open! My mom has been a few times now but I stopped in myself yesterday and was overjoyed to see everything they offer. I got some meat pies, cheese pies, cheese manakeesh and some sweet croissants and they were all delicious. The meat pies have a bit more of a kick to them than others I've had in the area but I still really enjoy them. I'm pretty sure the gentleman that helped me out was the owner and he was VERY kind and helpful, offering to make me more cheese manakeesh (I cleaned him out, haha). Prices were very reasonable for the quality and I like that you can also preorder for pick up through Yelp. Will definitely take advantage of that in the future when I'm running errands around there.

Love it.. canton needed a Mediterranean bakery. Every thing that I tasted so far was fresh and amazing. For a very reasonable price. Hope the quality never goes down. The own is the baker. The baker is the owner. The name of the shop is the baker. They have flatbreads, cakes and Mediterranean sweets like Baclava. The manakeesh was the highlight. Freshly made. They have several flavors of mini pie, just 5 bucks for half a dozen. My favorite one so far is the croissant with zatar. The person who was helping was very nice. Went through their entire selection. Will frequent here.. Hope they bring some hot beverages.

Place is a Godsend. Moving from Dearborn to Canton there are literally no Middle Eastern bakeries. But now I have the fortune of driving 3 minutes down the street to get my fill of meat pies, baklava, and other traditional baked goods. Can't complain about my assortment of sweets. The wife and in-laws enjoyed them as well, even saying it was better than some of the bakeries we would frequent back in Dearborn. Also worth noting is the staff here are just very sweet and hospitable.

For having only been open 6 days - and during Ramadan, no less - this new bakery has really got it together. I got a mixed tray of baklava and a dozen manakeesh (pies and flatbread) on a whim after dinner nearby, and after sampling one spinach pie on my way out the door, I had to go back to order again after devouring a box in the car. I don't think I was the only customer who turned back for more, either (how can you have regulars after less than a week in business)! From light, crispy baklava to UNBELIEVABLE fresh spinach pies baked with an airy, toasted crust wrapping a fluffy, delicate, slightly tangy spinach filling), Mr. Baker's simply brought the some of best of Dearborn to Canton. If you've made your way across Dearborn, you've experienced the bountiful wonders, fake palm trees, and landscape murals of Shatila, New Yasmeen Bakery, etc. - and likely pulled a number to stand in line for the privilege. Mr. Baker isn't that - it's an unassuming white box bakery with hot, cold, and dry cases on display in the most ethnically-eclectic strip mall on Ford Road, next to the understated Korean Kimchi, Desi fusion Pizzawala, and the over-the-top Indian street food emporium Neehee's. There's also a beverage fridge with the usual sugary soft drinks, but sadly no ayran. What they do have, though, they've done excellently - quality, not quantity, rules the day here. Mr. Baker's menu is short, sweet, and not yet on display - but who needs menus when the glorious goods are there behind a wall of glass for all to see. They have some Americanized mini-flatbread options I hadn't tried before (pizza, broccoli & cheese, etc.) but the traditional za'atar, meat, and especially the spinach pie were all great - lighter, less doughy, and more textured than I've had elsewhere. I did mention the spinach pies, right? Pretty sure they're the best we've ever had, and my family's had a lot - a revelation even for my wife who grew up in Dearborn. This is the kind of place you can run in, ask for a tray or dozen or half, point your way to enough for 6-10 people, and be out the door in like 3 minutes. That is, as long as you don't eat everything before you even turn on your car, and have to go back to order it all again. You just might. You've been warned. Ramadan Kareem y'all, and shukran iktir Mr. Baker!

Great fresh Baklava! New store opened last month, didn't want to make the trip to Shatila and they didn't disappoint! I would recommend trying the Fingers

Good place to try! Pretty little cakes and lots of Middle Eastern goodies, both sweet and savory. Parking is okay, careful with turning on Ford Rd.

Peach Cobbler Factory has been in business for about a year now in this western suburban Detroit strip mall where parking is never an issue. The inside of the suite was bright and spacious, however there were no seats or tables. Maybe they used to have some stools and high-tops in the past? A faux green wall was on the right, but it seemed out of sorts when nearly all places with such a social media friendly feature also have seating. There were over a dozen cobbler flavors, and each order included ice cream. The surprise was the variety of other desserts that were available. Cinnamon rolls, cookies, banana pudding, pudding shakes, brownies, Belgian waffles, and churro stix were offered. Some of these items were on display in plastic cases at the service counter. By using such a specific business name, it undersold the diversity of sweet treats that you could purchase here. A Mango Peach Cobbler was what I decided to buy. Because everything was packaged to go, the cobbler was served in one takeout container while the cinnamon vanilla ice cream was scooped into its own styrofoam cup. A cobbler is a fruit filling poured into a large baking dish that is covered with a batter/crust before being baked in an oven. It's essentially like a deep dish pie. I didn't detect much mango flavor, but the peaches were very sweet. I wished the cobbler portion size was larger for the $9 price. The ice cream was a nice touch if you wanted to eat the cobbler a la mode.

It didn't become a big melted mess, so it was nice that they're kept separate. Unfortunately, though, the ice cream itself wasn't great. My husband didn't mind it, and we both enjoyed the cinnamon in it, but to me it was watery and just not something I'd eat again. The cinnamon roll was really bad. It was extremely dry and lacked flavor. The only thing that made me take more bites was the Nutella on top. The employee who took our order was kind, and the store was clean and bright. But I would not come back here.

Some of the best hot chocolates I've ever had are from chocolate shops (makes sense) so I had high hopes. The price was quite reasonable I think for a premium hot chocolate, $4.99 for a dark hot chocolate with Mayan spice (cinnamon, cayenne, etc.) added. There was an option to add whipped cream and marshmallows but I opted out. The cocoa was excellent - delightfully chocolatey and definitely spicy - it definitely had a kick. I would order again in a heartbeat - maybe it's a good thing for my body that I don't live that close to Plymouth. They also have a nice array of chocolates, very similar to classic chocolate shops. I bought a couple of dark chocolate covered cherries and dark chocolate honeycomb chips for my mother and she loved them and she can normally be very picky about these type of chocolates. She said they were very fresh and the cherry flavor of the chocolate covered cherries was excellent. These were probably her favorite chocolates she's had in the last ten years or so. Alpine Chocolate Haus was definitely a winner and we'll be back whenever we're in Plymouth.

I found this place by chance as I was killing some time in downtown Plymouth..sort of a memory lane tour. The stock of treats is vast!!! He said the company has been around for 40 years in Michigan and about 14 years in Plymouth. The vibe is so nice and I can't recommend this place more. Everyone was kind. All I felt was love!
