This is the place to order cakes! You can literally show them any design and they will do it. We order a spidey theme birthday cake. I was not sure of the filling and one of the individual suggested cannoli which is there most popular. It did not disappoint. Cake was DELICIOUS. The character on top was edible and made out of sugar. Service was amazing they really listen. Cannot wait to use these guys again for another birthday. Went here yesterday on FAT TUESDAY. So Ofcorse I got a pączki & also a coffee. I didn't know which one to get. I asked the worker taking my order which is her fav she said cannoli. I said bet I trust you let's do it. She said I'll like it she promised and she didn't break it. That was easily one of the best pączkis I've ever had. & to top it off she hooked me up with a coffee. If you are looking for one of old fashion bakeries that was in most neighborhoods when we were growing up this is the place. Cupcakes, cookies, donuts, and rolls waiting for you to come in. Friendly help that is fast. When I was there you could tell they had repeat customers by the customers around me. I got some of the decorated sugar cookies and they were do good. The donuts were above average. I look forward to trying the cupcakes the next time I stop. Plenty of parking. The store doesn't face 5 Mile but is listed on the strip mall sign. My first experience here today was somewhat disappointing, but that has nothing to do with the food. I came in at the end of my lunch break, approximately 12:50pm to grab a few treats for my coworkers. I was immediately impressed with the decor and counter setup as they were incredibly inviting. There was no one at the counter, and the lobby was empty, but I assumed someone would be coming out of the back shortly to greet me. Unfortunately I very wrong, I made my selection then rang the bell on the counter. After a minute or two I rang the bell again, nothing. I heard the phone ring in the back so I walked near the door and shouted "hello!", still nothing. At this point it had been 5 or so minutes and I needed to get back to work so I was starting to panic. In a last ditch effort I open and closed the front door loudly, and thankfully it worked! I was able to quickly purchase my goodies and race back to work. The donuts I purchased were heavenly, and the lemon pound cake was decadent. I will be back but hope I don't have the same experience trying to get someone to wait on me. read more

Everything I have bought from So Delish is nothing short of Amazing! Everything is fresh and beautiful! We love Billy and his family the desserts not only look amazing but taste just as good. He is beyond professional and goes above and beyond for his customers!! It doesn't go unnoticed by me because customer service is everything. I love 45 minutes away but I will drive there because of how amazing he has been for us!! This is my third time ordering treats but definitely won't be the last. I was able to see his beautiful shop and was so impressed with how clean and lovely the decor was. He has such a vast array of treats and talents and am so happy for him and his family. Billy recently rocked cookies for my cousins HS Graduation and we loved how they came out In February he amazed me with my Daughters Treats for her first birthday In November he produced a beautiful cake for me for my 35th birthday! *COVID19 Edition* As bakeries go, this place is pretty legit. They serve a variety of baked goods, and they're all pretty solid. I've been here a few times now, trying out different items, and all of them have delivered a good effort. The pastries were freshly baked. You can't deny the quality, but something's missing? Maybe missing's not the word. Sometimes, it feels like the pastry's doing too much? I ordered a pan au chocolat (chocolate croissant) which was good but also had chocolate drizzled on top. The drizzled chocolate broke into tiny bits with every bit and ended up just making a big mess. Did it really need that extra chocolate? The cinnamon rolls are big and fluffy but maybe a tinge too sweet? I had the same experience with the macarons. They were okay, but something about the cookies was not as delicate as I would have liked. The flavor inside was all right. In summary? I think this place has a lot of potential, but I think it still has a bit of a ways to go. I hope that they continue to learn and grow. I'll pop in every now and then for a bite if I'm nearby, but I'm not sure it's worth the drive just for this. read more

I had so delish create gender reveal cupcakes for me and my husband. we asked for all the cupcakes to look the same but only one to have the color of our little one's gender inside. First things first. The frosting is next level amazing. Everyone from the party were raving about how great the cupcakes were. My daughter was having a st Patrick's day themed birthday party, so I ordered a dozen "green" cupcakes with gold coins and lucky charm marshmallows. The gold coins were made out of Oreos dipped in super heavy chocolate so they didn't stay vertical. Regardless., the Oreos we freaking delish. I chose chocolate for the batter so it couldn't be green and the lucky charm marshmallows were no where to be seen. He could see that I wasn't happy and offered me a discount. We got pie on Thanksgiving lemon meringue, and apple. Both kids and adults agreed it didn't taste good. The lemon meringue was runny. We threw out the pies. My MIL got us Pączki they were SO DRY. I do not recommend this bakery. I do hope they hire a better pastry chef. read more

I ordered custom sugar cookies from this place and was asked what time I would like to come and get them on the day of pickup, to only go in to get them AT THAT TIME and realized they werent done. No phone call saying they were going to be late. They ended up being THREE HOURS late. And not at all what I had wanted. So Disappointed, definitely will not be going back there. read more

I was recommended to this bakery by a friend who had a good experience about a year ago, but unfortunately my experience wasn't great. I put in an order for a custom birthday cake about a week and a half before I needed to pick it up. I had a very specific vision for the cake and sent an inspiration photo via email to the baker to go off of. The person I spoke to on the phone seemed very confident in being able to execute the exact details I was explaining and that were depicted in the photo. When I went to pick up my cake on my scheduled day and time I was on a time crunch. I tried calling the bakery to let them know I was on my way (I was already running 10-15 min past my scheduled pick up time) and their phone kept going straight to voicemail. When I got there, 15 minutes past my scheduled pick up time, the front counter person notified me that they were still working on my cake... this was really strange to me since I was already late. 5 minutes later she came out of the back with my cake (which made me think that they rushed to finish it up). I was in a hurry so I wasn't able to look at it closely but from first glance it looked fine. They were able to use the figurines that I wanted, so that made me happy. Also, it was very affordable, only $35. She boxed it up and I was on my way. When I got home and took the cake out to get a closer look I was extremely disappointed in the presentation. It was very sloppy. The bottom edge of the front portion of the cake was all messy and did not look finished. The "Star Wars" lettering was very, very sloppy. The inspiration photo I sent used fondant to make the letters, but they used icing, which is not what I was expecting at all. Also, the galaxy background looked very amateur and more like little paint splatters than a "galaxy." To top it off, the cake was extremely dry. We only took a few bites before throwing it out. The buttercream icing was the only good thing. If I paid $50+ for this cake I would've called and complained, but since it was inexpensive it wasn't worth it for me. Wow! This bakery really is so delish. My family ordered my birthday cake from here and I think it's the most delicious cake I've ever had. The chocolate buttercream is incredible. So fudgy and creamy. The cake was moist and flavorful. The piping work on top of the cake was gorgeous. We also pick up breakfast pastries a couple times a week and they're all tasty. Sorry baking team, the cake looked beautiful, but it was not good. It was over baked, which made it very dry. Also, it was over stirred and had tunnels in it. Please try eating some of the things that you bake with the crew in the store. Choose items at random, so they are representative of your normal process. read more

I can't remember what it was priced at, but I called around to other bakeries in Livonia for pazcki day and they were significantly less expensive than heritage.

In a very combative tone she asked, what am I supposed to do with this drink? I shared how I was unfamiliar with their policies. She went on and on about how she made the drink and in her exact words, "I can't explain why it is $6, it just is." At that point I told her I would not be purchasing anything and left. This is a place I enjoyed going to, I wouldn't be surprised if they close soon due to poor service and quality.

So Delish absolutely knocks it out of the park. From the gorgeous decor inside of the shop, to the wide selection of fresh baked treats, and most of all- how incredible everything tastes! The artistry alone is enough to come to So Delish, but the taste will have you coming back for more for years to come. You don't find homegrown talent like this. Ordered a retirement cake with Baby Yoda set in a Star Wars theme. It was out of this world a BIG hit with everyone. The cake was chocolate and it was moist and yummy. The Baby Yoda piping decoration was perfect. We were in another bakery trying to order a cake but it was a 3 wk back log. So a women picking up her order told us about So Delish and we went there right after leaving the 1st bakery. So happy with the results and for the women who gave us the tip to So Delish. read more

So DEsgusting....Ugh. Horrible. The cake tasted as bad as the spelling mistake they wrote on it. Honestly too, the cakes were so dry we could not eat them. Can you imagine our disappointment after our dinner? I support small businesses, but this is one place we won't go back. read more

They have an amazing assortment of treats, bumpy cakes, strudel's, cookies, flavored pretzel sticks, eclairs with their famous custard filling, lattes and smoothies, and they also make custom cakes. We purchased some cookies, a lemon bar, bumpy came, orange creamsicle and the famous eclair! Everything looks phenomenal. We also found out that a car had slammed in to their building on Father's Day while they were inside filling custom cake orders. Thank goodness nobody was injured. This is a local gem, so get out and support them. I know they will truly appreciate the business.

I asked for assistance since everything was mixed in, this is NOT normal. The lady said everything is label, which I let her know it wasn't and was mixed in. She handed me which possibly was a snickers cookie, it seemed old and hard. I placed that one back and grabbed a softer one. I ordered a caramel macchiato, small. She started making the drink and said she was out of caramel, did I want another flavor? I said sure just do pistachio. The original drink was listed at $4 and the larger $4.50. She rung the drink up as $6. I waited thinking she was going to adjust it, then she asked cash or card? I mentioned the price error. She scoffed that she had to made modifications because they were out of caramel. I told her NOTHING on the menu was $6 and it was a replacement syrup. It was ok, I'll just get the cookie. In a very combative tone she asked, what am I supposed to do with this drink? I shared how I was unfamiliar with their policies. She went on and on about how she made the drink and in her exact words, "I can't explain why it is $6, it just is." At that point I told her I would not be purchasing anything and left. This is a place I enjoyed going to, I wouldn't be surprised if they close soon due to poor service and quality.

I haven't tried any other bakeries in Dearborn, but I can tell you that my experience here was fantastic. Customer service and friendliness were beyond excellent; but be sure to pack your patience at peak times because this spot was slammed. You take a number when you walk in, and then wait, and wait, and wait for it to be your turn. This isn't for lack of staff, because there were at least a dozen people working behind the counter, it's just because they were packed with customers! The selections are overwhelming and since it was my first visit, I needed help. The young lady who helped me was very patient, told me about the differences in their specialized Arabic pastries, showed me her favorites, customer favorites, and descriptions for anything I asked about. I went with a small sampler tray of her favorite specialized pastries and their best sellers. Everything was delicious! Flavors, textures, uniqueness, complexity...all of it. My whole family raved about all the treats, so we ended up going back later in the weekend and purchasing a couple larger trays of our favorites (and some new selections) to take home and share. We all agreed that the Qatayef was easily our favorite; for anyone who doesn't know, it is a small pancake filled with custard, fresh chopped strawberries, chopped pistachios, and drizzled with chocolate...fresh, bright, and mouthwateringly delicious. The only negative I experienced was that when I visited around 10am on Sunday to load up for our trip home, their selections were very limited, and I was told I'd need to come back after 3pm to get some of the things I was looking for. So, I would recommend calling ahead to see if they have a full selection before you go, if you don't live nearby. Ultimately, if you haven't tried Dearborn Sweets, I'd highly recommend giving them a shot. They have tons of middle eastern specialties as well as traditional bakery favorites (such as cannoli, fruit tarts, filled donuts, cakes, etc.).
