I've been driving by this place after school drop offs. Finally got a chance to stop in. Beautiful inside with a nice selection of desserts. Cheesecake, cakes, small desserts. Both American and middle eastern. I settled on a piece of Nutella Cheesecake and Chocolate Mousse cake. The chocolate mousse cake was good without being overly sweet. I couldn't really pick out the Nutella flavor in the cheesecake but it was still good. The girl suggested the chocolate mousse roll over the layer cake. Unacceptable Experience - Will Never Return If I could give *Divine Sweets* zero stars, I would. This place is anything but "divine." My latest (and final) experience here was absolutely appalling. We ordered a cake, only to discover it was rotten with rotten-like fruit embedded inside. When we brought this up to the staff, instead of apologizing or addressing the issue professionally, the owner and employees resorted to screaming at us and acting completely unprofessional. Their behavior was downright rude, and they even had the audacity to cuss at us and pretty much kick us out of the store. This isn't the first time we've had issues here either. The cakes are almost always dry and disappointing, yet we've continued to support them as a local small business. Clearly, that loyalty meant nothing to them. Save your money, your time, and your dignity. There are far better bakeries in town that will treat their customers with respect and deliver quality products. My visit to divine dessert turned out to be a complete disappointment. Not only were the desserts subpar, but the owner's behavior was unacceptable. When I raised my concerns, the owner's rude and dismissive attitude was shocking. Ayman even threatened to taste the dessert himself to prove a point, all the while claiming his time was too valuable. The entire family refused to eat the cake because the strawberries tasted rotten and the cake was dry. It was a humiliating experience, especially when we had to return almost the entire cake after an embarrassing moment when we cut the cake. To make matters worse, they lost the business of 6 families, which is about 40 people, who were at the party. On top of that, he screamed at my pregnant niece, saying "I'm gonna give you your money just so you can get the hell out." Mind you when we called they said to bring it back. What a waste of time. We didn't want the refund but only wanted them to make sure for the future. Definitely not a place I'd recommend. read more

I got to taste some of her cakes at a Christmas party!! Delicious!!! Very light and fluffy. We bought an ice cream Oreo cake for Christmas and I can't wait the try that. I took lots of pictures of what she does. The cookies I tried were also just right. Not too heavy and the chocolate was amazing. It's Lebanese owned and the service is amazing. Wow!! Where do I begin! Let me just say that I love tiramisu so I tried a piece and it was divine! I came here with my sisters wanting ice cream and we wound up buying 7 different deserts. Every one of them was so delicious! Every thing tasted so fresh and so clean. The chocolate used to dip the cannolis in was the perfect, it was smooth dark chocolate that melts in your mouth. Been coming here for years and had good experiences, but this last time left such a bad taste that they lost a customer. I ordered a cake for a surprise birthday party. I gave them a picture of the exactly how I wanted the cake. I only altered the bottom of the cake, wanted it to be fondant like the top layer. The cake I received when it was dropped off looked NOTHING like the cake I asked for. It looked like a second grader made it and the color scheme was totally off!! Not to mention they forgot the bow I asked for. The bottom layer was supposed to be gold, but it was yellow and quite patchy in spots. There were supposed to be thin black stripes and I got thick black squiggly lines. I was horrified. The worst part is that I went over there showing them the picture of their cake and the one I wanted and all they offered were 5 pieces of other desserts or $10 dollars back! REALLY?!?! I paid a lot of money for a cake that looked NOTHING like the picture I gave them, tasted bland and given HORRIBLE customer service. Very disappointing cakes and eclairs and ice cream. The cakes were extremely dry and just an ungodly amount of pink cream was in the mousse cake with barely any cake inside. The cake in it was like a "shaving" of actual sponge cake and had very odd pink specs in it like it was not mixed correctly. The chocolate cake was as dry and chewy as leather. The eclair was an odd yellow on the inside also and tasted nothing like real custard (prob because it was cream that was dyed a weird yellow color) and the filling wasn't mixed right either some spots were more yellow with streaks. Just awful and never going back in there. More expensive than other places for no reason. Don't waste your time just stick to Dearborn sweets it's cheaper and better quality. They wouldn't take my Amex card and I was lucky to have been carrying a visa at the time also. Only reason I give 2 and not 1 star was because the girl inside was pleasant. read more

Heaven On Earth. All the pastries and yummy goodness are made fresh daily here, their light, refreshing and not overly sweet. I've often found that arabic pastry shops tend to make beautiful desserts that don't taste as good as they look. That certainly isn't the case here! Everything is as delectable as it looks. My friend and I came here to pick up sweets to take to a bonfire get together. They had small cakes, petit ones that were so cute and delicious. They had puffs, carrot cake, two types of cannoli's. I had hard time finding this place since ford road is so busy, but right next to subway building before gas station. The parking lot is on the side and back of the building. I don't know where to start from. I'm a very picky Mediterranean sweet eater and I have to say absolutely everything I've ever ate from this place is clean, fresh, and delicious. I ate their walnut cookie (maamoul) and I went from eating 1 to 7. My problem with many other places that make this specific cookie is it is to dry or cheap on the sweetness. Used to rave about this place. Yesterday was the final time I will recommend or visit this bakery. Second time the have messed up my order. First was 6 months ago ordered a shower cake which wasn't cheap owner asked for image to be sent to his phone did that and have proof it was delivered one hour before shower calls and asked for image again delaying me to shower by over an hour since cake was not ready this weekend ordered a graduation cake again states he didn't get image of cake but I show delivered and read on the text cake was ready on wrong date he didn't even both to fix the bleeding royal blue and yellow icing it was embarrassing not to mention it tasted awful stale. This is my favorite bakery in the Dearborn area. The display and the types of cakes and petit fours that are offered remind of bakeries in Lebanon. The petit fours are AMAZING. I recommend you get a small box of different varieties of the petit fours the first time you come. I also had a mini chocolate cake that had a chocolate mousse-type filling. It was DELECTABLE. Next time you're in the area, go to Shatila for sweets like baklava, kashta ice cream, namoura, and kunafa but COME HERE for the cakes and petit fours.
