The buttercream at Homestead is some of the best I've ever had. It's light but still rich and buttery. I will order from here if I ever need a cake for a special event. Since those two Yelp events, I've been back to the bakery several times to try its cupcakes and savory items, like the dill soup, which is so delicious and comes with cornbread. I'd love to see more savory meals offered. One drawback is that Homestead has limited hours which is why I've only been back several times. Walk-in hours right now are Friday 10am-6pm and Saturday 9am-3pm. The rest of the time it's open for special events and orders made in advance which you can do on its website. Also, you can only order one flavor of cupcake on the website, not a variety of flavors. It would be nice to see more flavors offered like the buttercream flavors I tried at the Yelp event as well as expanded hours for the bakery.

They have the space but it is not very spacious so it's a little tight, but I will be back because the pan dulce is very good.
