Wow! What a gem! My son said his friends at school have been raving about this candy shop, and…read morebegged us to pop in after dinner across the street. I worked in a small candy shop as a high school student, so I was intrigued and we stopped in a few minutes before closing. I was impressed that we were greeted with a friendly hello and a welcoming introduction for our group with 4 small children just a few minutes before posted closing time - off to a great start. There's a super cute concept of budgeting your candy expenditures and even a prize If you're close to target. We took a brief run through. But it looks like an extensive soda and slushy collection, and amazingly fluffy cotton candy! It looked fresh made, and that is hard to find, as I discovered when our 4 year old went though a phase of cotton candy obsession. There are so many cool and rare - like Dylan's Candy Bar NYC - old school Abba Zabba and Charleston Chews, Candy cigarettes, Australian licorice and Crunchiies, UK Flake!! I didn't see a Necco from the old days, but we were hustling. So fun, and "exclusive" hard to find items, especially fresh, and not stale or old ones. Super impressed with the extensive selection, organization, lack of dust or grime, clear labeling of prices, and color theming of each area. A very pleasing and fun place to shop. Fair prices for what you get, partly the atmosphere, unusual finds, and super friendly service. We will definitely be back. I can see why the kids at school were giving two thumbs way up. Well deserved, in my biased candy connoisseur opinion. The only thing I wish there was room to add Would be fudge or hand made chocolates! We were in and out in less than five minutes because we came right before closing and I'm sure the workers wanted to go home - though they were very polite and didn't rush us at all. We will definitely be back to explode some more when we can take our time to explore. Pay a visit, if you love candy or are looking for something special, you'll find it here.

As part of the crawl, we got to try their incredible truffles. They're giant Nespresso-Vertuo-pod-like domes. I tried the peanut butter and it was a peanut butter lover's DREAM. I also squealed in delight that they carry Peelerz (IYKYK!!). I also ended up trying their gelato, which is from Iorio Gelato. I was informed that they're local and used to have a storefront. It was....pretty bad unfortunately. It was my first gelato in states after our trip to Italy and the texture (icy) and flavor (did not taste like pistachio) unfortunately were completely wrong, so I don't recommend trying the pistachio gelato at this time. Maybe their other flavors are better, but I'll stick to the truffles and packaged candy here.

We first discovered BonBonBon at a hip Valentine's craft fair at the Majestic Theater in 2019 and…read morewe've been hooked ever since. Their chocolate creations are not only delicious, but creative and unlike any other treats out there. Back in the day, it was not unusual for us to make a 40 minute drive into Hamtramck or Detroit to get a Bon fix, so you can imagine how excited we were as they opened more storefronts across Metro Detroit. The Ann Arbor store is my favorite because it's just a short lunchtime walk from work! This is a business that you can feel really good about supporting. Not only is their product top notch, but their practices prioritize quality, sustainability ,community and inclusion. It has been fun watching their tremendous growth over the last seven years and cheering them on from the sidelines!

Insanely cute chocolate shop down in Nickels Arcade [which is a tiny alley with an assortment of…read moreshops like a vintage store and clothing store]. They have an array of flavors of bon bons (chocolates with a filling inside) lined up behind the glass case including fudge brownie, peanut butter and jam, and much more unique combinations that I paid no attention to because i was enamored with the rest of the shop. They had all sorts of knick knacks, stickers (some were for free!), mini greeting cards, shirts, tote bags, cool shaped chocolates on the shelves. Each bon bon is $3.50 and it gets individually packaged in a tiny box. If you're feeling extra, you can buy a cute cardboard carrier case for your chocolate treasures ($2). Otherwise you can still get it packaged in a cute box for free (pictured). As for the actual bon bons: - The fudge brownie one had a deep chocolate flavor with only about 35% sweetness which was quite dismaying. - The PB&J one was sweeter which I liked and the jam added a bit of tartness. Comparatively, this bon bon had more complexity than the dark bitterness of the fudge brownie.

If you're into CUTE THINGS, this place is for you! It's a great spot for gift ideas for all ages, especially if you have someone in your life that loves novelty items or is just big into fandoms! I saw Avatar: The Last Airbender items in here, BTS (!!!) items in here, FRIENDS, Parks and Rec, The Office, general adorable PLUSHIES, the list goes on! There's something for everyone! Also, retro/nostalgic candy GALORE as well! I kept on saying, as I walked through this store, how nostalgic everything was making me feel. It's all so darn cute! We absolutely loved it! Ended up picking up some novelty items for friends and definitely have my eye on more (especially for myself) and will be coming back here whenever I'm in the Ferndale area to scoop up more!!

Huge selection of gifts, including some fun Schitt's Creek stuff and Golden Girls, and also lots of candy and chocolate. They had Coffee Crisp which surprised me, it's a Canadian chocolate bar and I've never seen it outside of Canada. They are still requiring masks as of right now (6/13/21) which was nice, also. Only reason I'm giving it 4 stars instead of 5 is that it's a bit pricey - most of the gifts I saw were $9.99 and up, for small things, and they had some Sanders one-piece chocolates for 75c (I've seen them 25-50c in other stores). Otherwise, this was a fun store to browse and I will be back at some point.
