Super cute popular shop that I've always seen on social media so I had to go. Their drink wasn't too sweet, but had interesting texture in it that was served quickly by their nice young workers.

food: the soosoo matcha was very flavorful and really strong, especially for matcha lovers. however, the matcha overpowered the sweet corn so it was very hard to taste the sweet corn flavoring. the soosoo latte had really strong taste of coffee even though it was decaf option and the corn ice cream was really tasty. it was almost like an actual corn shell on the outside with the inside being the creamy corn. however i couldn't quite taste the sweet corn. ambiance: lots of warm lighting with very cute decor and free harucake stickers. very good spot to hangout out with friends especially when they have a printable photo machine! not that many seating however so seats could fill up fast! service: the service was very fast with no wait for a thursday at 4pm. the server was super friendly and gave lots of good recommendations about the cakes and drinks, even sharing there was a decaf drink option!

The soosoo latte is delicious, every single time. They make the best corn flavored coffee. The right amount of sweetness and a strong coffee. I love coming here for their little photo booth. It's so cute to have a coffee and leave with a little free souvenir. They make the cutest little cakes, it's $34 each. Parking is terrible, it is valet only but sometimes the valet guy will let you park to quickly go in.

I've been hear before but this time I decided to try their drinks. I ordered the SooSoo latte and it was pretty good. It wasn't too sweet or bitter. My only thing was the cup size was pretty small for the size. It was maybe 5 sips before it was just filled with ice. Staff were super friendly and nice!

OMG! SUPER CUTE Korean cafe!! But so expensive at $14 per slice of cake! Yes, you read that right. Per SLICE. And yet, I still enjoyed my experience and I'm glad I tried it! The cakes are all SO pretty and SOOOO cute!! The whole cafe is Instagrammable. My friend and I shared the following slices: - Mugwort Injeolmi: unique, earthy, and delicious! Great texture! Highly recommend trying this one if they have it. Tends to sell out. - Green Grape Yogurt: tasted fresh but too sour and tart for me - Chocolate Earl Grey: yum! my favorite slice! If you like earl grey, get this one!! - Pure Milk Cream: I got this for my daughter because it was SO irresistably cute with the dog picture on top but the flavor was just okay and tasted like any other Korean milk cream cloud cake. Soosoo Latte: I tried this latte iced but the corn flavor was a little too subtle for me. I prefer a stronger corn flavor. Super cute though with the mini corn floating on top. But my favorite thing here was the... **Dubai Mochi Ball**!! DEFINITELY try this! This was the best thing there, better than all the cakes in my opinion. Especially if you're a textural eater, you will definitely enjoy this. The slightly bitter chocolate powder on the outside with the chewy mochi and the crispy phyllo dough interior was seriously the best combination! Let it sit for 30 minutes at room temperature before eating or alternatively, you can microwave it for 3-5 seconds. OMG. SO GOOD! They also have a free little photo booth on the side that prints out paper photos in black and white. So fun and cute! Parking: valet in plaza or street parking

matcha einspanner, pure milk cream cake slice
    Caden L.

Super cute korean cafe! I loved the minimalist aesthetic of the cafe. Each table had a small lamp that added to the ambience. There was upbeat guitar music playing while I was there. This cafe is definitely on the pricier side with each cake slice being $13-14 and the matcha einspanner costing $9. I decided to get the pure milk cream cake slice to go with my matcha einspanner. I would give the pure milk cream cake a 3/5. The cake wasn't very sweet but it also lacked any distinct flavor. I was hoping for a milkier taste because of the name but it honestly just tasted like plain whipped cream. The cake was also on the denser side despite being moist. For $13 a slice I was expecting more. I couldn't finish the slice since the cream felt very heavy as I continued to eat it. I would rate the Matcha Einspanner a 4.5/5. Each cup of matcha is hands whisked by the baristas. The drink is a very vibrant green color, which I love to see. It's very creamy and nutty, it's only slightly bitter. The baristas did a good job preparing the matcha, it wasn't grainy at all. The only reason I didn't give it a 5 was because it was $9, a little steep for a cup of matcha in ktown. The flavor is on par with other cafes in the area. Koreatown has an abundance of cute cafes and places for you to get matcha. I won't be craving the matcha from here, but i am interested in trying the other cakes here, maybe I chose the wrong slice to try.

Cute cake shop.Delicious not too sweet cake.Service is spot on and efficient.Tried the injeolmi cake and it was highly recommended and I loved it.

Went to grab a New Year's Eve cake - and of course they were all sold out of the mugwort ... and all their normal cakes. However, they did sell a roulette style cake situation where you pay for a cake and you get a random cake. I was already here and drenched from the rain so figured to give it a shot. Ended up with a biscoff type cake. Was really good! Definitely will plan ahead next time for holidays.

Stumbled upon this tastey hidden coffee shop and im so glad we did. I was very impressed with their carefully crafted coffee and pastries. Ordered the SooSoo coffee latte which was amazing and a piece of their matcha cake which was extremely moist. Very cute little shop. Would try again if in the area.

NUROONG LATTE - No toasted rice flavor in the latte, the crunchy toasted rice topping is the only toasted rice flavor in the latte.

3/20/2026 1 Star taken off for valet parking. High prices of cakes and other pastries. First time at Harucake! Queued this place for awhile now! MUGWORT INJEOLMI Very subtle mugwort flavor and injeolmi flavor. Cake itself was light and not too sweet. There were bits of mochi balls inside, which reminded me of mugwort rice cake and injeolmi rice cake. Crunchy topping was good and had that buttery nutty flavor that did taste a bit like injeolmi cake. The flavors together brought this nuttiness to the cake as a whole. I love how they incorporated both beloved rice cake flavors into one cake! Wish the mugwort and injeolmi flavors were stronger to make a statement. I felt it was neither here nor there. I could taste both flavors, but still very subtle, reaching flavors. If it had stronger flavors of both, I think it could be such a unique and fun cake to eat! BISCOFF MOCHA Very good! Biscoff flavor all around! This is for the biscoff lover! The mocha cake had a light mocha flavor and complemented the biscoff cream. The cake was soft and fluffy, cloudlike! The outer chocolate coating was really good with the cake. The biscoff flavor is big in this cake! It is exactly what I thought a biscoff cake would taste like! Very well done! Enjoyed every bite! I would order a whole cake for a special occasion! GREEN GRAPE YOGURT Beautiful vanilla sponge. Fluffy, cloudlike and light in texture. Just dreamy! Cream tastes like light plain yogurt and a bit lemony in flavor. Still, very light and subtle in flavor for both. Green grapes are fresh and had that juicy fresh crunch. I guess the fresh green grapes stand out the most because that is the main texture. However, I wasn't a fan. I appreciated the cake, but wouldn't order it again. PURE MILK CREAM The vanilla sponge was good, fluffy, but the Green Grape Yogurt cake had the best vanilla spongecake out of all the cakes I've tried. Still, very good texture. Vanilla cream was creamy in flavor. It had an extra milk creaminess in flavor. I couldn't quite place it though. Just more creamy milk flavor, not whipped cream flavor. However, that is the main flavor, so it may not be for everyone. CHOCOLATE EARL GREY Three slices of cake were in one box, so this cake got smushed on the side. Cake was a light cocoa and Earl Grey flavor. Chocolate pearls throughout the cake which brings a chocolatey crispy crunch with each bite. The outer Earl Grey cream does have that Earl Grey flavor. However, it did taste too milky in flavor. Wish it had slightly less cream. I think the inside cream may be the same as the outside, but due to the chocolate pearls and Earl Grey sponge cake, I felt the Earl Grey flavor was more prominent. This cake slowly started deteriorating due to lots of cream and chocolate pearls. So please eat the cakes as quickly as possible. I ate it within 24 hrs. which is a long time for a fresh cream cake to be sitting in the fridge. Still, the fresh cream was still fresh and light in texture. It was good, but wished there wasn't any chocolate pearls in it. The texture was a nice addition, but still would have preferred without it. EGG TART This was eaten the day after, stored in the fridge. I ate it slightly at room temperature, although the custard was still cold. The outer layers were still flaky and a bit crispy, given I ate it the day after. The custard had a good vanilla bean flavor and did not taste eggy at all. I liked the overall flavor, but still I recommend the cakes over the egg tart. NUROONG LATTE Could not taste the nuroong flavor. Only the crunchy toasted rice on top added the toasted rice flavor to the coffee. I would not get this again. It was not what I thought it would be. My favorite cake: Biscoff Mocha I think the biggest shock is that the cakes are all expensive! It was $13-$14 per slice! The egg tart was $7.5! I rarely mention prices on reviews, but I had to on this one. It is absolutely ridiculous. But had to try it! I think this may be why there are so many mixed reviews. CUSTOMER SERVICE It was good. They were getting busy yet they did their best to smile and give good service to customers. AMBIANCE / SEATS It is a cute place. The space is much bigger in person. Quite a bit of tables and seats and a clean bathroom too! PARKING As always, parking in LA is pure hell. So when Harucake's strip mall offers valet parking for $3, I will take it! Street parking was too hard to find and driving around and around is just not worth it. $3 is for lunch hours. Dinner hour would go up to $5. Once you park inside Harucake's parking lot, you cannot leave the premises on foot. They will ask you to pay $15 for all day parking. Honestly, inspite of their high-priced cakes and pastries, I would return! I haven't had delicious cakes like this in a long while! I truly enjoyed trying their cakes and as a dessert lover, Harucake takes the cake, literally! I will definitely buy whole cakes for special occasions in the future.

TLDR: super cute cafe, photobooth thing, overpriced, scone is not good I got a lemon earl grey scone and the scone was flavorless with all the flavor coming from the meager glaze on top. The cream is high quality but is just whipped cream with a scant amount of vanilla extract. No sweetness, no lemon or earl grey flavor.

    Regina C.

Harucake offered a variety of cakes and drinks to choose from. We came a little later in the evening and closer to when they close the store and so there was only one flavor to choose trom which was Biscoff Mocha. It was honestly so so good and piqued my interest even more. Harucake is also and first come by basis; meaning, you can purchase per slice or the whole cake itself! Warning: they run out quick! They also have a fun free photo service station where you take a picture and it prints a b&w receipt esque picture! I'm already wanting to plan my birthday (which is in September) to have a cake from Haru! I want the standard cake which has 6 for their signature flavors!

Food Delicious cakes with Asian inspired flavors. They're not too sweet and are very light but you can easily share one slice between two adults. They also have a new Dubai chocolate mini which is delicious but not for those who prefer milk chocolate over dark. Also tried the banana matcha latte and it was a really sweet. Maybe too sweet for my tastes. Service A quick order and go shop, so there's not too much to say about service. Ambience Very cute and it reminds me of the cafes in Asia. However there is not much seating. What little seating they have is meant for small groups.

Passion Fruit Pie -really good, if you love tart this would be up your alley. Fresh passion fruit topped helps balance the sweetness of the pie. Almond Croissant (White Chocolate Strawberry Garnish)- seems like their croissant flavor rotates. Wasn't expecting the filling to also be strawberry, would have loved the filling to be almond. Croissant is more of a flaky dense bread texture not buttery fluffy pastry. Not the best I've had. Chocolate Chip Oat Cookie -amazing cookie, love a good oat cookie without raisins. This one did just that, would grab this again if we come back and they have it. Strawberry Rhubarb Hand Pie -seems like a permanent item, saw them prepping a ton more when we were there. My favorite item we got, pastry was fluffy and buttery. Not too sweet, filling was the strawberry preserve and some sort of custard. Seasonal Citrus Vanilla Danish - the citrus was charred with a torch which added too much burnt flavor. Not sure what citrus it was but also too strong and overpowering, slightly bitter as well.

We first discovered salt bread in…read moreMyeongdong and fell in love with the crunchy, exterior and the soft, pillowy interior with salty buttery bites. The problem was that we weren't in Korea. With low expectations, we found Concerto Bakery in K-town, because c'mon, how could anything be better than the original? We read on Yelp ahead of time that there were two separate parking structures. We knew ahead of time to enter on Mariposa Ave but we missed it and ended up in the Hmart parking structure. This was fine with us because we planned to shop anyway and knew there was a $30 spending for free parking. The bakery was situated directly in front of Hmart with an open design with two to three counters of pastries. We zeroed in on the salt bread. At first, my daughter was sad because they didn't have the strawberry salt bread, but I noticed a small sign stating that the pastries can be ordered at the counter. My wife reflexively grabbed the original salt bread and savory breads (mentaiko, garlic) and I grabbed the sweet salt breads (milk, anko, sweet potato). My son does not appreciate salt bread yet and grabbed a twisted donut. We paid at the counter, and they were really sweet answering any questions we had. My wife bit into the original salt bread, paused for a second, and a smile spread across her face. The crunchy exterior combined with the soft, buttery, salty bites were EXACTLY like the bites in Myeongdong. We tried all the other breads, but honestly, nothing can beat the original. A close second was the milk salt bread with soft, fluffy cream contrasting with the flaky, salty bread. The mentaiko salt bread offered an explosion of salt. We ended up at the counter a total of four times because 1) my son wanted another twisted donut; 2) my wife got more salt breads; 3) we got drinks; 4) and my wife got even more salt breads. Writing this review makes me crave Concerto Bakery's pastries.

Yesterday, I went there to buy a few slices of cake to celebrate my mom's birthday and Mother's Day. Since my mom has diabetes and needs to control her blood sugar, we didn't buy a whole cake. Instead, we bought two slices of cake (one slice of sweet potato cake, and mocha cake) and two salt bread rolls. I buy bread here often, and I always like this bakery because everything is delicious and the staff is friendly. The garlic cheese bread I had this morning was especially so delicious. When I went there yesterday evening, they told me that donuts, sandwiches, and salt bread were 30% off. I thought about buying a sandwich, but I didn't because the sandwiches had ham in them. Other than this location, I used to go often to the Concerto Bakery inside Hannam Market in Koreatown LA. When you go there in the evening, they sell three or four breads for $10, so I used to buy bread from there often. But recently, some of the bread stayed in the refrigerator for more than two weeks, and I ended up throwing it away. After that, I haven't really been buying bread from that location as much. cf) One downside was that when I asked for paper plates, they said they didn't have any.

I arrived early on a Saturday morning and treated myself to an assortment of their best recommendations: Dulce de leche ponchik, minced beef empanada, potato perashki, and a (cream) cheese roll. I waited ~10 minutes for everything to be made hot and fresh, burning the roof of my mouth in excitement -- and I'd do it again. Dulce de leche ponchik was the best caramel donut I could ever dream of. There's at least 2 generous tablespoons of molten lava deliciousness in one ponchik: it spilled over into the box! Potato perashki is how I burned my mouth: flavorful, salty, herbaceous. Beef empanada was fried to golden brown perfection, full of velvety minced beef with small pieces of potato (corned beef hash could never). The (cream) cheese roll was not too sweet, smooth and rich in flakey pastry. Don't sleep on the seasoning salt offered for savory items either: it puts Lawry's to shame. I happily devoured my box of reasonably priced treats on the small outdoor patio, curious to know if I had arrived later what else might've been on display in the bakery cases. Nice to see how clean, calm, and friendly the manager was with long-time customers picking up catering orders. Porto's has golden boxes; Papillon has bright turquoise ones. Parking is available in their adjoining lot though it gets crowded with nearby businesses easily.

I love, love, love their Bird's Milk Cake! It satisfies this indulgent and fudge craving I get once…read morein a while. Hands down, I think they have one of the best Honey Cakes with the fudge layer on top aka Birds Milk Cake. This is my third time trying the dessert, and it was unanimous that it is a must-get in the area. They honey cake layers are moist, you can't think of it as a normal fluffy cake, it's more on the dense side. The fudge layer has a nice, rich chocolate, and not overwhelmingly sweet taste that you want more of. The smaller size they have is an actual full small cake $25 that will feed 12-16 people. You don't need large servings of this dessert as it's very rich. Service is nice. Small parking lot. Thank you Papillon International Bakery!

2/8/2026 ATELIER…read morePETITES Taken from Dōmi website: "Atelier Petites are individually crafted, single-serve mousse cakes designed with the precision and balance of fine-dining desserts. Each piece features smooth, sculptural finishes, layered flavors, and seasonal components--elegant in appearance and delicate in texture." Each cake serves one and is 2.75" in size. Love that there were mini versions of these mousse cakes. All of the glazes were done well and the cakes were moist. Earl Grey Strawberry - Light Earl Grey and strawberry flavor. However, I prefer the Jasmine and Strawberry combo. The Earl Grey Strawberry combo did not taste harmonious like the Jasmine Strawberry. The glaze is beautiful. Not only aethetically-pleasing, but the light jelly-like consistency, creamy and smooth glaze brings a beautiful texture. The cake is moist, but you mostly get the glaze. It is a mini-cake, but you can taste everything in one bite. It is small enough where you can eat it by yourself or share with someone if you want half. Sobacha - Good nutty flavor of sobacha, buttery flavor at the end. Yet still light texturally. Overall beautifully done! Hojicha - Beautiful, strong hojicha flavor. Any hojicha lover would love this! Espresso Cookie Butter - Really good strong flavors of the biscoff. But did not detect nor taste any espresso flavor anywhere. Matcha - Light in matcha flavor. Vanilla sponge cake. Buttery flavor at the end. Chocolate Black Sesame - Very strong black sesame flavor. Has a caramel layer between. Buttery, nutty deliciousness! However, I prefer the signature cake slab version. Favorites: Espresso Cookie Butter, Hojicha, Chocolate Black Sesame. SIGNATURE CAKE SLABS Taken from Dōmi website: "Cake Slabs are sliced portions of our signature whipped ganache cakes, crafted for effortless enjoyment without compromising on quality. Each slab features soft, balanced layers finished with light whipped ganache made using Valrhona chocolates--refined, indulgent, and true to our fine-dining-inspired approach to cake." Before consuming always bring to room temperature or the swiss meringue buttercream will be hard and the cake will be a bit more dense. Yuzu - Very good yuzu curd with light tartness and sweetness in balance. Creamy buttercream. Vanilla cake was soft and moist. London Fog Birthday - Love the overall look! Moist vanilla cake. Light Earl Grey flavor in cake. Vanilla buttercream is thick and creamy. Overall tastes like light Earl Grey. Love the rainbow sprinkles throughout the cake! Chocolate Black Sesame - The black sesame whipped ganache and vanilla buttercream is so good! Moist, rich cocoa cake. Not dense like the last time I've tried it. The thin layer of caramel between the cocoa cake really brings the nutty black sesame and buttery caramel flavors together. Without the dark, buttery caramel flavor, this cake would not be as fantastic as it should! The cocoa cake was slightly dry when eaten separately, but with the buttercream, I could not tell and it was delicious! Hazelnut Blood Orange - Tasted a bit of hazelnut flavor. Cannot detect the blood orange. Had to double check my order to see if I got the right cake. Can only taste cocoa cake. A little bit of deep tea flavor or caramel. Hard to detect. Some kind of dried yuzu or blood orange peel on top. It was a bit hard and unpleasant to chew on. This was my least favorite. Favorites: Chocolate Black Sesame, London Fog Birthday. I'm glad I've got to try both types of cakes, but I love the signature cake slabs! PICK-UP Domi does not have a physical store, so you must order online and pick a pickup date at the Temple City location. Currently they only have Saturday pickups. Once you arrive, please text a message to Domi and they will bring your order out to the parking lot. All details will be given once your order is confirmed. It's an easy pickup, however there has been instances where they did not bring my order out for several minutes and I had to go to the pickup location door and inquire of my order. Domi also have their items sold at various restaurants or coffee shops. It is for a limited time, so check out their website for more details.
