Unfortunately, the experience was pretty frustrating. The place was packed, and there were no seats available at the bar. So we ended up being sat by the hostess at a table near the bar. When we asked for a happy hour menu, we were told that we couldn't order from the happy hour menu because we weren't sitting at a designated happy hour table. A happy hour table? Apparently, that's a thing. The server pointed to a table a few feet away and explained those customers could order from the happy hour menu, but we couldn't. The funny part is that our table was actually closer to the bar than the group of tables she pointed out. We ended up leaving without ordering anything. I don't know how common this is but I've never encountered a restaurant that restricts happy hour specials based on which table you're seated at, especially when the restaurant is so crowded that you have little choice in where you sit. It felt arbitrary and unnecessarily complicated. Not worth the hassle.
