There was a lot of competition out that day for BBQ, and the prices at this particular stand were a bit higher considering the other places were offering full plates with 2 sides for less money, but the smell of the smoke and the reviews here drew me in. I got the pulled pork with the vinegar BBQ sauce. The meat was tender and juicy, but definitely lacked salt and didn't have nearly as much of the smoke flavor as I expected. It was quite spotty--some bites had it, but most didn't. The spice level of the sauce was good, it was nice and peppery, but the meat and the sauce lacked flavor overall. Since I am gluten-intolerant, I ordered the pulled pork with slaw without the bun, and it was $5 at this particular event. The slaw was actually very good. I am picky about slaw, but this one, while simple, was spot on in flavor--not too sweet, not at all bland, and the perfect counterbalance to the vinegary bbq. Honestly, however, the bbq really couldn't stand very well on its own without the slaw. It just didn't have much flavor at all. I really wanted to love it but, while it definitely did manage to satisfy my craving, it missed the mark for me.

Overall, I enjoyed each one. I really like the tortillas, add a little chewy to the bite. Each taco had double tortilla so I was able to pick up and eat them without losing any of the fillings. 1. Pork Belly Taco: so good!!! Great flavor and loved the crunch of the fried shallots. 2. Pork American: my favorite of them all! The pork was moist and the sauce was fabulous!! Just a bit of heat and so much flavor. 3. Chicken Mexican: pretty good. I really really like the chipotle cream. The chicken wasn't as moist as the pork, but still good. 4. Beef Asian: spicy! The smell made my mouth water. The Asian flavor in this taco was so good! The people were friendly, but we limited interaction so I'm sure I didn't get the full experience. The pork was tender and juicy but I wish the smokey bbq flavors were more prominent? Their mac and cheese was also very cheesey, but the mac pasta was a little too mushy for my liking. I would recommend their BBQ sauce tho!! It had an appropriate balance between the sweetness and tangy levels. Definitely complemented the meat!  With the burrito, it comes with a side and you can choose to put it inside your burrito or separate. Addition of jalapeños and/or nacho cheese also optional.
