I know plenty of people in Woodlake that drink from the "Alphabet" store. It's a clean and well staffed store. Their selection is probably not as vast as some of the other branches, but nevertheless it's still good. The selection of bourbon is very good! They were very busy when I came in but had plenty of staff to keep things moving.

I later learned that Amazon did not load card which caused a hassle for me trying to rectify the situation. The store staff was so patient and understanding as I stepped out of the line and spent a great deal of time on the phone with Amazon. Cullen was so helpful and gave me 15% off of my purchase and apologized. Although this was not a Total Wine issue, I was grateful at how the staff treated me as I dealt with this ordeal.

It's a great place for folks who live in the Bon Air area and it's not far from major highways, either. It's about a 20-minute drive from downtown Richmond. I stopped in before Yelp Supper Club -- held at an eatery in the same shopping center -- last night to see if they had any cool sours on hand. At this point in my beer-drinking life I know I need to have my Untappd app out when making purchases because I've tried so many varieties. They didn't seem annoyed that I was analyzing each bottle before making any decisions. In fact, both guys working were super friendly, not invasive of my space, and offered great recommendations. I purchased a six-pack of a local raspberry sour to share, as well as a bottle from American Solera. Looking forward to both! Their selection is curated well and they also offer growler fills. I'll definitely return if I'm in the area.

Located in the Ironwill Centre beside First Watch. Plenty of parking and the area was debris free. While at brunch I had a wait so did a bit of browsing. They happen to be stocking the shelves and I was hoping to get an allocated bottle. However no such luck. The store has lots of light and a modern feel with exposed ceilings. The staff was helpful on trying to locate something else for me in the bourbon area. However there was nothing that really fit for a purchase. So glad to see ABC stores looking for better leases in new buildings around the state.

Since moving here there have been all kinds of crazy top-tier drops: Cantillon, rarer 3F's, Fidens, Trillium, in addition to ongoing deliveries of highly rated beers (you're practically guaranteed to find a handful of beers rated 4.2+ on Untappd any time you walk in here). There's a good mix of local and non-local beers as well. I find it can be detrimental to focus TOO much on local beer. I also think they've nailed the size, both in terms of inventory and physical space, because product seems to move at an ideal pace. I've rarely come across too-old beer, which happens quite often in many beer shops. This is THE place to get beer in the area.

It was pristinely stocked, had a plentiful selection, and the staff was "Absolut"ly friendly and helpful! We were planning a party for a friend. We went in to purchase those tiny little bottles of booze to fill up a piñata (see? even grownups can play this game lol!) so we had to stick with the plastic bottles. The salesclerk came over and assisted us with our selections. The manager told us about the sales, he gave us some recipe ideas and we all had a nice chat while shopping. When I walked in after their remodel, angels sang, a bright light came on and I spun around in circles smiling with happiness as I couldn't believe my eyes. Okay, that's a little dramatic but that's what happened in my head as I've never laid eyes on such a beautiful ABC store! I'm used to the boring aisles with bottles lined up, uncomfortable mirrors so the clerks make sure no one is stealing and pretty much no décor other than some random cardboard advertisements for liquor but NOT THIS PLACE! They had a beautiful set up of seasonal liquor displayed at the entrance. A tasting bar built in. A beautiful display of airplane bottles on one wall and actual décor on the walls that made me want to say "I'LL TAKE ONE OF EVERYTHING!". If that wasn't enough, a salesman asked if I needed help and when they couldn't locate a bottle of pumpkin liqueur that I needed, he called a location down the street and had them hold it for me. Way to go ABC store, now if you renovate all locations like this, I'll be speechless!
