With this $25 GC i ordered the chicken blc sliders from the fed hill location and boy were they unsatisfying. Rubbery/poor quality chicken, overcooked. Brown/wilted lettuce. Heard this was the best burger in RI?? It's not. The food itself good but nothing to write home about. Service is unfortunately pretty bad. We ordered drinks that never came, even after flagging down a different waitress to ask for them. Had to ask a third time for a water for one of our friends. Similarly, the waters we did get were never refilled so it was hard to enjoy the food. Finally, we asked for a third time for the water refill and the cup of water we originally ordered. Only one glass arrived and we didn't know if it was the refill or the long-awaited water for the friend who never got one. My sweet potato fries didn't come until after I'd finished my burgers, which was weird. The fries are also sold separately, which makes it more expensive than it seems. It's 80° outside and the AC isn't on, except in the bathroom which I could not figure out how to lock. Also, they do not have cheddar or tomato. Which I have never heard for a burger place. Our table had only one napkin so we had to take some from another table. On the menu at the top, it says it comes with lettuce, pickle, and sauce, but under each burger it just says pickle and sauce, which is a little confusing. My friend ordered a burger with "just meat, cheese, and bacon" but it came with lettuce too, even though she'd specified no lettuce, pickle, or sauce (as did I). After being done with our meal, we sat and waited for a while for the check despite there only being two other tables with guests. We eventually had to flag down a waitress (not ours, don't know where she went) to bring us three separate checks (we were worried something would be overcharged or incorrectly billed). Made a late afternoon visit to Harry's on the Hill as part of RI Food Fights Best Burger Challenge. There were a few customers at the bar and a family enjoying a late lunch. We were greeted warmly with "sit wherever you like" and we chose a table for two with a window view. We both ordered crushed oreo milkshakes, which were awesome with whipped topping and crumbled cookies on top. I went to Harry's on the Hill for the RI Food Fights 2024 Big Burger Blowout. We started our meal with the Cauliflower Fritto Misto which were basically cauliflower tempura with Sweet Thai Chili Sauce - how can that not be good?! Then we ordered the Harry's Classic Cheeseburgers. They come two in an order and you can add a third! We also ordered the 50/50 which is a basket of half fries and half onion strings. The 50/50 is a must for me - it's the perfect accompaniment to their burgers. We went on a Tuesday for dinner so the restaurant was not too busy. They have a bar and indoor and outdoor tables. Food arrived, asked the person that delivered was given 3 mayonnaise packets. For the size of the order, thought that was pretty cheap. Asked the server/bartender for more and was given another 3. Seems to be the typical hand out. Issue 2. Not a fan of places that charge additional fees. They charge an additional 3% credit card fee. In this day and age is absurd. Insanely good! I always forget how much I love this place until I have it again. Firstly, their daily 1/2 off from 3-5pm is such a good deal! Although the burgers are sliders, they are still so filing and packed with so much flavor--size does not compromise quality. The buns are so soft and chewy. The beef patties are the right thickness (almost like a smash burger) and grilled to absolute perfection with the right amount of fat. The onion rings are incredible. Some reviews say they're greasy, which they are, but it doesn't take away how good they are...especially when they're inside the burger. The secret sauce is really good, I'm assuming it's along the lines of thousand island like most burger joints. The lettuce was fresh and still crunchy. Overall, probably second best burgers I've had in my life. The Buffalo chicken sliders are also good. I would recommend a side of blue cheese. The chicken is crispy! If your eyes are bigger than your stomach you might think you want to order the third extra slider. I don't. Their cocktails are OK. Recently stopped by to one of my long time favorite burger joints as part of the RI Food Fights May Burger Blowout. A small spot on the Hill where they've managed to not make you feel crowded when sitting down. Few TV's are usually showing a sporting event if available. Team working there is consistently friendly and service is always great. Bonus on the half-price from 3pm-5pm each day. Menu has a good selection of different appetizers, fun "boozy" shakes, and an excellent beer selection. Also some options for chicken and hot dogs as well. But if you're coming to Harry's, you really should be coming for the burgers (sliders); and it's hard to find a place that's been as consistent as they've been over the years. Each order comes with two (or you can make it a "threesome") with a variety of options, including the M.O.A.B. or Pastrami burger. All the burgers are pressed with shredded onion (clutch move). Can't go wrong with any selection. The real star here, to me, is the Double Wide. If you want to truly see what makes Harry's stand out, it's the quality of their Hereford beef, and the double really helps it shine. Skip the fries (and carbs) and get the threesome to treat yourself! Whether on the Hill or on N Main, this is easily one of (if not the) best spots in RI for a quality burger. read more
