The inside is sleek, cozy, and medium lighting. Service (5/5): No issues with service since the restaurant was still fairly empty. Waitress was patient when we asked a slew of questions and her suggestions. Happy hour drinks were priced at $6 from 5:30p-7p with some tapas also at $5-7. Chicken dumpling (3/5) Red version: It was unique to find kernels of corn in the dumpling! I enjoyed the vinegar/soy sauce and chili oil. Next time, I would have liked to try the brown. Overall, there wasn't anything special about the steamed dumplings. Iron Men (3/5): I was disappointed since reviewers said that the broth would be very rich but it did not have much flavor to me even after using their house chili sauce (+$2). I definitely tasted the Iberian pork undertones but overall, I thought it was watery and didn't have much flavor without the chili. The poached egg was perfect. The rosemary oil was very subtle (cool presentation as it was provided in a dropper!) The noodles were perfect--chewy and bouncy. I thought the 2 slices of pork were thin but tender, also more lean and not fatty (not as ideal so did not melt in your mouth). Expensive for a bowl with little meat ($23). I did not use the miso paste as I did not love the aftertaste, which admittedly could be why the broth lacked flavor to me! Nagoya Miso Katsu-Don (N/A): I tried a little of the dish. I thought the pork was very crunchy and had a great taste. Boyfriend said the dish was nothing special.

Amazing experience and food!…read more Thai iced coffee: So delicious and strong! It has a certain grittiness to it which I loved! Drunken noodles: so flavorful! The noodles were thick and silky, and the chicken was cooked to perfection. We added their house chili sauces to it and it became even better! Thai bread with chicken curry: the bread was one of the flakiest roti canai/thousand layer breads I have ever had! The chicken curry had a coconut based and a rich peanut taste - two flavors which my husband and I love! It was a chance find, and I am so glad we did because we loved our meal here!

Taylor's Tayke: Cafe Chili offers a fun introduction to Thai…read moreflavors through both its afternoon tea experience and its full dinner menu. What stood out most was the variety. From savory bites and traditional Thai dishes to tea service and desserts, there was plenty to explore throughout the visit. The afternoon tea service in particular offered a unique way to experience the menu beyond a traditional meal. My Taysty Tayke: Get Down & Dirty, Expeditiously: Fish in the Boat One of the most memorable dishes from the visit. Fresh salmon paired with bright flavors and a subtle kick of spice. It almost gave salmon salad vibes while still feeling distinctly Thai. Egg Tart Soft, creamy, and incredibly smooth. The texture was outstanding and easily one of the strongest items from the afternoon tea selection. Crying Tiger Skewer Tender, juicy, flavorful, and everything you'd want from grilled beef. Simple execution done extremely well. Hot Chai Tea Excellent on its own, but the addition of cinnamon elevated it even further by adding warmth and complexity to every sip. Shrimp Bite Loved the texture here. Fresh shrimp with a bright lime flavor and none of the chewiness that can sometimes hold shrimp dishes back. Duck Salad Fresh, juicy, and tender with great balance throughout. Macaron with Grape The grape added a fruity sweetness that complemented the macaron nicely without overpowering it. Pork Pastry Flaky, savory, and satisfying. Dumpling Solid texture and flavor throughout. Curry Puff Enjoyable curry flavor but could have used a little more punch. Thai Wings Well executed with good flavor throughout. Rice Ball Sweet, sticky, and compact. A nice contrast to some of the savory items. Chicken & Shrimp Fried Dumplings Enjoyable but didn't stand out as much as some of the stronger offerings. The Experience: The afternoon tea service was a pleasant surprise and offered a creative way to sample multiple flavors in one sitting. Pairing that with the dinner menu gave a well-rounded look at what Cafe Chili has to offer. Best For: Afternoon tea, casual lunches, catching up with friends, introducing someone to Thai cuisine, or exploring a variety of flavors in one visit. In Conclusion: Cafe Chili shines when it leans into dishes that balance freshness, texture, and bold flavor. The Fish in the Boat, Egg Tart, Crying Tiger Skewer, and Duck Salad were the standouts for me, while the afternoon tea experience adds a unique element you don't often find at Thai restaurants. If you're looking for variety and a mix of savory and sweet offerings, Cafe Chili is worth a visit. Stamped by Elajas

Great food, but the service let down a special night…read more Ki Sushi has been one of my and my husband's favorite spots for a long time, so I was excited to bring my family here last night for a belated birthday dinner. My aunt had just gotten back from Florida, and she and my other aunts and their wives wanted to treat me. It should have been a really special evening. The food was delicious, as always. The sushi is consistently fresh, and the chicken teriyaki is still one of my favorites on the menu. I'd recommend the food to anyone. The service was a different story. I ordered a shrimp avocado roll and a spicy kani roll, and a salmon avocado roll came out instead. Everyone at the table heard me order shrimp. When I politely pointed out the mistake, our waiter insisted that salmon was what I'd said. I didn't want to argue in the middle of a celebration, so I let it go. He apologized only after he saw how upset I was, and he never offered to fix the order. I ended up not eating the roll at all, so it was wasted money on top of a frustrating moment. Mistakes happen, and I understand that. What bothered me was the defensiveness. A simple "I'm sorry, let me get you the right roll" would have changed the whole experience. Instead, I left feeling dismissed on a night when I was out with my family, including my 70-year-old aunt. I've been coming here for years, and nearly every server has been kind and welcoming, which is why this stood out. I hope management uses this as a chance to remind staff that when an order goes wrong, the best response is to make it right, not to argue with the guest. I'll likely be back for the food, but this visit definitely changed how I feel about the place.

A solid 4.5 stars! I…read morecame to Maison Sun for dinner tonight. I'd heard about them a while back when i think they were still in an apartment so when I heard they opened a brick and mortar store I had to give them a try. Overall, it was a good experience. The space is very intimate, chef's counter style. I dined with one other party of three and i think the space holds a max of 10 or so. The host, Carlos, was a very gracious host. On to the food, it was pretty good! To start we had some light bites. They were OK, wasn't really a fan of the Foie Gras one, the others were pretty decent. I specifically liked the one that tasted like a chicken stuffed with something and the crudo. Moving on to the other courses, I actually surprisingly liked the asparagus soup, which I didn't think I would because it was cold soup but it ended up being pretty good. The tuna tartar was great as well. However, the star of the show was definitely the duck risotto. It was the best risotto I've ever had and my favorite dish of the night. I wasn't really a fan of the main fish dish. It was pretty bland. Just simple fish with cherry tomatoes, sliced grapes, and some type of leafy green. I was expecting a bit more from this dish. The final savory course of the night was the lamb, which was also really good! The lamb was soft, and the potatoes were tasty. On to dessert, I loved the palate cleanser, which was some type of rhubarb and honey fennel sorbet. Surprisingly, the honey fennel ended up being my favorite half. The main dessert was also decent. I just remember it being another type of ice cream, and it had a lot of components like mochi bites, sorbet, and a chocolate disc. It's possible that you may also get an almond macaroon with your meal. It was mentioned at the start of dinner, but I never received one, so it may just be for special occasions, it's unclear. My only critique/suggestion why I docked half a star is I wish there was a wine by the glass menu because (i) it would make it easier to pick a glass of wine rather than having to try several (ii) it would also make pricing more transparent as while I ended up finding one wine that was decent not necessarily sure I would have wanted to pay the $42 a glass for it. And yes, I could have asked but who wants to ask the price of 5 different glasses of wine in a nice restaurant? It's just better if the price is posted up front so you can decide. Also, I'm sure this was meant as a nice gesture to make the checkout process easier but it's always good to give someone a heads up before you run their card and in this case that wasn't done. Not a big deal but sometimes people use business cards for meals and some, like mine, may have restrictions on alcohol so always good to ask. Finally, did feel a bit rushed out the door towards the end. Didn't get to say goodbye to the chef or the other dining party. To give them the benefit of the doubt, this could have been due to the rain or because they needed to open the door, which they'd locked but not a good feeling after a 2 hour meal. Overall, I had a great meal at Maison Sun and would generally recommend it!
