Fine. Decent selections but more expensive than alternatives in the area, lacking meat selection, can be quite crowded with long lines

They have everything I need. Prices are better than Giant and checkout is fast and easy. I pass 4 other grocery stores to get here.

My favorite things about this store are the deli counter, the meat counters, the beer selection, and the self-checkout.

I had questions because it was my first time getting actual food there and most of the people at the register seemed irritated and upset about me inquiring. But something was different when I went in the other day because all that completely changed. Thanks to Chi Chi and Rell (there was also another guy there with glasses whose name I didn't get)! But they were the BEST! The best customer service I've had there since I started going. First off as soon as I walked in Chi Chi greeted me with the biggest smile and positive welcomed energy! I was shocked because no one EVER speaks when I go in, so that was really refreshing! She's was so nice and sweet and patient with me and all the other guest! I placed my order and Rell took care of it. I usually have a few modifications with my sandwich and for most of the other employees that seems to be a problem or bring extreme frustration. Rell didn't have a problem at all! Usually it's a lot of eye rolling and deep breaths, and it'll be over something small like asking for sub roll instead of regular bread. So it was nice to order my food and not get attitude from staff for how I want to eat my food. I feel like as long as Rell and Chi Chi are there the vibes are going to VIBE!! The food was moving out quick. The place felt and looked clean. They had no problem answering the questions I had about the shop and what they sold. Shout out to them forreal because I was prepared to leave a not so pleasant review about my experience but I'm glad they changed that because I'll definitely be back more often than not! Thanks Chi Chi and Rell, not only providing great customer service but just for being a vibe!

The prices are double and triple that of other Giant stores. The app will say something is on sale for $4. You go to this store and it's actually $12. Whole Foods is often cheaper than here. I had a very disturbing experience at the Giant Reisterstown location and I will not stay quiet…read moreabout it. My child, who has a disability, was using a wheelchair when we entered the store. An employee immediately told him to "get off." I clearly stated that my child has a disability and requires the wheelchair, yet staff continued to argue with me and insisted he could not use it simply because he is a child. It did not stop there. Employees began speaking loudly about us in front of other customers, causing unnecessary attention and embarrassment. My child and I were both humiliated. To make matters worse, we were followed around the store. When I addressed the issue with the manager (Jackson), he repeated the same false claim and dismissed my concerns instead of correcting his staff. This is not just bad customer service this is a serious lack of ADA awareness and basic respect. You do NOT question or deny someone's use of a wheelchair because you "don't think" they need it. No parent should have to defend their child's disability in a grocery store. I expect Giant to address this immediately with proper staff training and accountability. Until then, I would strongly reconsider shopping at this location.

If you've been sleeping on this grocery store or you haven't visited in a minute go check it out!…read moreThey renovated a few months ago and they did a fantastic job at both making the store more easier to navigate and updating/expanding their selection. You can find everything from Michele's granola, mung beans, 3 crabs fish sauce, oat milk, Korean melon ice cream bars, and latin groceries. They've done a good job at diversifying their products to meet the needs to the yuppy-fied neighborhood and long-time residents. This is where I go for some Asian ingredients (in addition to Hana market) that can't be easily found in DC. In addition to what I mentioned above, they have plenty including dried mushrooms, msg, gojuchang paste, dried pho noodles, Kewpie mayo, and more! You can also find some good deals on produce here. Their green beans are usually really fresh and crunchy. They also carry bean sprouts and it doesn't cost an arm and a leg. They used to carry Thai basil here and there, but I haven't seen it in a while. Their cilantro prices are usually also really reasonable; it was 2 bunches for $1 today! Now what makes this really special is their butcher counter (service during daytime hours, but if you call in advance, they may be able to accommodate up until 6/6:30 potentially) will actually work with you to get you what you need and it won't cost an arm and a leg. I go here to buy pork ribs bc they'll cut them lengthwise for me to cut into riblets for Vietnamese sườn kho or soup and I also order sliced meat here when I have bbqs (typically sliced pork shoulder for Vietnamese grilled pork, but they've sliced up entire pork chop hunks to my specification as well with a few days notice). There's no extra cost for butcher service either! I no longer live near this market, but I still try and go once a month bc I can't get most of this unless I go to the burbs, which is much further lol Highly recommend this local market.

Safeway needs to up their game. Guests attending the convention center have two places to purchase cheap snacks: CVS & Safeway. The layout could be improved. The focus should be grab and go food - not wine. Starbucks keeps dwindling. The flower staff never know how much an item is. There are built in customers with the apartments & condos attached to the building. Local customers aren't treasured. I fired the pharmacy years ago when I was given the wrong dosage of a prescription. With all the safety protocols, that shouldn't have happened. The deli staff are hit or miss but also the most friendly in the store. Sometimes a manager will care, but not enough to implement permanent change. Harris Teeter is about 5 blocks away.
