I received a text telling me that my prescriptions were ready. When I arrived, the pharmacy claimed…read morethat they had never received them, despite me showing them both the texts & then my screen, where it was displaying that they were ready. They then claimed that my doctor had to have cancelled my prescriptions. I contacted my DR & he confirmed that he had never cancelled them. Two of these prescriptions are controlled & are now showing as "delayed" due to them already being in the system. Despite, y'know, the insistence that they were not.

At this pharmacy, I was quoted over $8 with insurance, and when the BIN was applied, the price increased rather than decreased. The staff could not provide a clear explanation for the discrepancy. Because the pricing directly contradicted what I was told in writing and could not be explained, I chose not to pick up the medication. Very frustrating experience.

The store itself is fairly large. I don't think have actually walked around the store to check out the aisles and sales. I mostly spent time in the toothpaste/toothbrush aisle to pick up the items for which I was placing the mobile order. This time I checked out the travel size items and was impressed to see they have a lot of newer brands. They also sell other brands in full size such as Clinique... then there were Arabian perfums/scents. There is plenty of parking available, If I do return, I'll be sure to check out the aisles, maybe buy some perfume and look at holiday items!

I had called the pharmacy first and they stuck by the price and said I had a price increase. I called the insurance company and the one med still had a zero cost and the other was overcharged by $4.03. It's not a lot of money, but when you add up $9.93 or more here and there, from many people, it can add up to a lot of extra money for Wegmans. This isn't the first time that this has happened to my husband and me. Many seniors don't question their bill amount and they just pay it. I'm not trying to put Wegmans down, I just want to make people aware, not only seniors to ask if the pricing doesn't seem right. Call your insurance company if you have already paid for the meds, to get a refund of the difference. Don't be afraid to speak up. It's your money that you're saving.
