I wanted to grab some groceries before finally heading home. I don't usually partake in Walmart for my grocery needs, but because it was so early in the morning in an area I am was not familiar with, it was my best option to get me home quicker. Quick tip, have a list ready to go pick up groceries. Another quick tip, remember to bring that list so you won't have to fight to remember what the purpose for stopping here was. Without everything in front of me, I had to make a list on the run, with items that I knew would make a meal. Hard thing is that every time I would remember an item, I would have to run to a different end of the grocery section. I didn't grab much, but I felt like I was overcharged a bit for some of the items. The total of the bill compared to the number of items just wasn't matching. This place is a cluster f**k. Inventory is partially opened and lying on the floor. It's crowded with families of three generations or more blocking the aisles. I have a disability and the amigo battery operated cart gave 100% power reading while parked and then immediately 9 0% when I got about 100 yards away leaving me stranded. It's filthy dirty. I drove 35 minutes to purchase plants advertised as avalable at the sterling store section y10. I would give this store a ZERO but for a very kind young man who was heading out for his lunch break when I snagged him. The very polite young man walked me back to the garden center and found area Y10 which I was unable to do on my own(the labels are tiny!) he hunted up and down for what was promised to be in-stock, but was not there. I'm so angry.... I just spent $260, (all of the items I SCANNED AND BAGGED MYSELF) and got home to discover that the electronic toothbrush I purchased WAS USED!! See PHOTOS (USED AND incomplete set missing one tooth brush head, clearly used bristles and blurry but visible SCUM on base of brush head). I was stunned but called to speak with a manager.... Nobody answered after 5 separate tries to get a human in the phone. Never did. I'll go back tomorrow to return but I'm disgusted. If I could give zero stars, I would. I called that store for four days. Nobody ever answered the phone and I got the voice that comes on and says due to high call volume. All of our associates are busy. Try your call again later eventually I called the corporate Walmart to call this Sterling store and get their auto department so I could make an appointment. They then told me they don't make appointments. It's first come first serve. I get here at 9:30 AM on a Friday And at 12:30. I come back to check on my car and they tell me they've changed the oil and I'm waiting for a tire rotation. Come to find out. They still haven't touched my car at all. Completely lied to me had not changed. My oil had not changed my tires. Nothing my car sat there For three hours and was never touched and they LIED and told me they changed the oil. I proved they did not. So much for tire rotations in balances after purchasing tires at Walmart because you can't get them to actually do the work. read more

Walmart- Sterling No star, if it would let me! I have shopped here for years. I wasn't happy when they got rid of cashiers, but I adjusted my ways. I became efficient, and Brought my own bags. I bit my tongue when I had to stand in a line to, show my receipt, to LEAVE the store. Today, they have gone too far! They have hired more people. They have an insufficient amount of cashiers. I went to check myself out, as I've done for at least 4 years. Employees are standing around to send you down to a cashier. The lines were appalling! You can only check yourself out if you have under 15 items. I stood in line for 30 minutes. I bagged my own groceries as the cashier was so slow (nice, but slow). I'm done! There were so many open lanes, and I could have checked myself out! Alas, those lanes were for 15 and under items. It totally chaps my arse! I know my grocery bill is between $200-$300 a week, but it won't be going in your store! read more

Do yourself a favor and do not use the auto service center. I unfortunately did thinking I was getting a decent deal on new tires. It has been a terrible experience with Walmart showing they have little concern for customer service or satisfaction. I bought four new tires from them and scheduled for installation. I showed up for my appointment only to find out that they had shipped the wrong tires to the store and I would need to leave the store, go online and buy new tires while they refunded me for the incorrect tires they shipped had shipped to the store. After finally getting the correct tires delivered to the store, I showed up for my appointment that should've taken an hour, but ended up taking three hours on a Sunday night. Then, two days after the installation I noticed one of the my new tires was leaking. Even though I had bought the protection plan, they expected me to make an appointment two weeks out to have the tire repaired. I had to make numerous phone calls and argue with a manager for them to look at the car the next day, and they insisted they would have to charge me a $3 fee, when they should be apologizing for messing up the installation and causing me a great inconvenience. Pay the extra money and go to a real auto service business. I wish I did. read more

The curbside pickup here is the worst. The first time we used the service, they took 25 minutes to bring out our items. The app is also regularly glitching so you can't easily check in. Then trying to call them in the store is a headache.The second time, after 20 minutes of waiting, I get an email stating that my items were picked up but they never brought me my items. I had to come inside to customer service which took even more time. Someone then had to go shop for the items that they gave to another customer. This whole experience defeated the purpose of using curbside pickup. If you want to shop at this Walmart, you are better off coming inside and shopping yourself. If you want to do a pickup up service, use Target's Drive Up service. It is ten times better than trying curbside pickup at this Walmart. And the time you save is worth the extra cost of going to Target. read more

I bought some headphones from the latest generation and one of the headphones did not work And they didn't connect to my iPad or my phone. Living in Ashburn for over 10 years and NEVER visited our local Walmart's! My son from New York visited this past weekend and heard that they stocked a particular brand of cheese Pimento Spread and he brought a freezer bag to carry several back to NYC (where its either not available of costs 12X). Its easy to find across Dulles Shopping Center and a huge parking lot. No issue getting in with a fac mask and the store is so large its fairly easy to social distance. Everything you would want to find is available. Groceries, clothes, fine food, a pharmacy and in-store banking, nails...very impressive. Very quick check-out especially if you have a few items and there are several express check-outs. read more

I order groceries from Walmart all of the time. Normally very happy with their service. NOT HAPPY AT ALL TODAY AND WILL NOT USE THEIR SERVICE AGAIN OR SHOP IN THEIR STORES! Yesterday, I went online to order my groceries and for some reason I was only given the option to get express (2-3 hour) delivery with a hefty fee. I was not in need to have things that quickly and thought "I will go online tomorrow" and order and pay for the express delivery. I DID NOT AUTHORIZE THAT ORDER. This morning I went online to order my groceries and was prepared to have the express delivery as the only option and so I signed on for it. I was expecting my delivery tonight around 4:50 - 5:00. Then for some reason a delivery came this morning at 10:30 and it was for the order I put in yesterday and DID NOT AUTHORIZE! Very confused, I just thought that I would go back online to my order coming this evening and delete the stuff that I received today... but there is no option to do that OR to cancel the order all together. SO I WOULD UP PAYING FOR BOTH ORDERS.... and then to make matters worse, the delivery that I received this weekend did not contain the pizza and wine that I ordered (and was charged for)! I have a house full of people coming for the football game tonight and we were going to eat pizza and drink wine! I called the customer service number and was told that they cancelled the wine because it was not in stock. I asked why I didn't receive an email or text or good old fashioned phone call..... the rep didn't know what to say other than that they were going to credit me for the wine and the pizzas. So now I'm headed out to get food and wine before my guests arrive for football! I will be shopping at Giant or Harris Teeter or Wegman's... or anywhere OTHER THAN WALMART from now on! read more

I usually avoid going to this walmart for a few reasons. The customer service is give or take. The greeter at the entrance is friendly, but once I got to the customer service, feels like I was greeted with grunts and mumbles. I understand it is busy, but it doesn't hurt to be nice. Another reason I avoid this location is the customers. I'm sure it's not fun to clean up after people when they leave stuff in the wrong aisle instead of just bringing it to the counter and saying they don't want it. I've been to a few Walmarts in my Yelp career and this one is okay. It's not fantastic and it's not awful. It is quite A-OK. The grocery and clothing sections are well stocked and reasonably tidy. I spent most of my time in the personal care section and the shelves were properly laid out, prices clearly displayed and there were no "holes" in the merchandise. Check-out was a bit of a mess. Extremely slow in the self-check area because two of the registers were offline and the associate was spending more time chatting than helping customers get their purchases rung up. I managed to find the four items that I was looking for and get them purchased but 35 minutes was way too long. read more

Sweet and nice review for the pharmacy department. I was shopping with my mom and she needed a particular cream. Costco didn't carry it so we stopped at Walmart. The pharmacy technician searched it online and told us what aisle it would be since I couldn't find it. Then she even rang the cream for us and we were able to pay at the pharmacy area. The employee was very personable and nice. We were able to go in and out of Walmart within 15 minutes. This Walmart at times is crazy busy like other locations. But they do a good job with nice employees and keeping the inventory full. The pick up option of groceries is in the front of the store as well. It's not hidden and could be a decent choice if your low on time. Side Note- Sam's club is right beside this Walmart. read more

Ugh. Walmart. Why do I keep coming here? I ask myself every time I'm halfway through my shopping trip. Yes- they have a lot of options in every category and lower prices on items and food. This review is mainly for the management, supervisors- and some staff. 1. Hire some people!!! It's not like Wal-Mart can't afford to pay people. It's ridiculous. Self checkout is convenient if you have a few items and need to be in and out- but when I go for a big shopping trip and have to shop, scan, and bag my groceries- it's annoying. Especially when you have a staff member just standing there. What do they do? Their not helping. It's like they are trained to not help. 2. The person at the front who checks your receipt and items at the exit is useless. Why do you have them standing there, wasting my time and everyone else's? The store is FULL of cameras?! Just hire someone to monitor them. The person at the exit is not reading the receipts. They want out of there just as much as the costumer does. 3. The night stockers should begin after close- They are in there an hour before close screaming and yelling at each other and blocking the aisles off before closing time. This is a big store, but I did not see to many people there. It was interesting looking around and seeing what spring clothing is being offered. The spring clothing did not get my interest. I did like the fishing gear. It reminded me of looking for worms and bugs to use as bait. This reminded me of the joy of catching a fish. I never went through the process of killing and preparing a fish for a meal. It might be a useful skill to learn though. I than entered the kids toys and saw over the decades very little has changed in what boys and girls like. Dolls, Action Figures, Cars for the boys and girls. Oh well, It makes the kids happy. This Walmart is chronically understaffed and a little disorganized. Self-checkout always has a long line but is your best bet. Don't do the grocery pick-up. I show up at 12:10 and check-in ahead of time to let them know I'm on my way. I call upon arrival to let them know I'm parked outside. I proceed to wait for over 35 minutes for them to bring out groceries for me. I see others coming and going. I call to check back in and get only the answering machine. When I finally do get my groceries, there's no apology or concern. Hopefully, others will have a better experience than I did. I won't be giving grocery pick-up a second try. read more

There is currently signage on every floor in the US - and even on Walmart floors for every other flippin' thing directing people which way to go.​ However at checkout, there's NO signage anywhere - let alone on the floor - indicating that one must exit through the same door that one entered through (to the right in the Sterling Virginia Walmart at Dulles Crossing Plaza). After completing my self-checkout, I noticed people going to the left with their completed purchases in their carts, so, in light of my back injury, I followed to the left as being the quickest route to my car. When I got to the exit doors, they were blocked and exit could be made through those doors. You would think there would be some kind of signage - on the wall and/or on the floor - indicating the only exit was through the doors on the right side of Walmart. ​​To make things even more stupid, an elderly handicapped gentleman in a non-electric wheelchair could not negotiate through the first set of electric double doors, the ONLY EXIT DOORS AVAILABLE TO THE PUBLIC, and had been stopped smack in the middle of the door, blocking all exiting traffic! People were attempting to maintain social distance, however no one could exit the store - and no one helped the poor man! How moronic is that! He was finally able to move forward into the foyer, but, confused, stopped again just outside the first set of automatic doors. People were gyrating to squeeze past him. He had his hands up and was trying to catch the attention of the Walmart employee stationed at the front door tracking those who entered the building - and ensuring everyone was masked - but do you think that employee would render any assistance when his j.o.b. was to count those entering the building?!​​What a disgrace! EASILY fixed by Walmart in two ways: 1) Allowing ingress/egress through BOTH sets of public access doors! Totally a safety issue having every customer enter and exit through only one of the sets of doors. 2) Allowing employees to be aware - and empower them to assist those in need. read more

This location is open 24 hours! I decided to swing in around 1am after my night shift at work. The store was pretty quiet which was nice! I specifically went in to see what pioneer woman items they have and they didn't have much. I think they were in the midst of setting that section but I did find the honey pot I was looking for. Hoping if I go back they will have more items. This store had a really large grocery/food section and the biggest Walmart I've seen in awhile. I hadn't been in this Walmart for such a long time one of the things I like about. It is the huge parking lot. I think the spaces are very narrow and not much room for larger vehicles. Upon entering the entrance is relatively small compared to other facilities, one of the things it's very irritating is the isles between the merchandise are extremely narrow and it's hard for two people with baskets coming from opposite directions to Get through it's also very hard when the workers at Walmart are pulling dollies through those very narrow aisles, very inconvenient, the store was especially crowded at this time which made it extremely difficult time consuming just to buy two folding chairs. The best thing about this was the check out the self checkout lanes are very wide, which made it very efficient to depart. However, Walmart still does not take Apple Pay. It's a very archaic system in about a decade behind in technology. The store is below average as far as cleanliness. read more

Yikes! Customer service is non-existent at this store. Ahmed is apparently the General Manager and he empowers employees to completely ignore customers and refuse to help them. This is according to Saena (spelling) who is an assistant manager. I was floored at our hour-long customer service nightmare today. I have to wonder how Walmart permits such a horrible representation of their brand. The management here is horrible. Thankfully, a nearby associate who overheard the issue finally took it upon himself to offer an easy solution. How his entire management remained clueless and uncaring is what blew me away. I'd really like to complain to corporate, but why let Walmart drain more of my life over the issue? Nothing will come of it. These managers know they get away with it, so they run their profitable store horribly. Really love the option to order groceries and pick-up. The system is super simple, efficient and no-contact pickup policy. I really appreciate this option especially as someone with an autoimmune issue. These guys are organized and quick. They're working hard and I hope they remain healthy especially during this time with coronavirus. This store is pretty clean and neat in terms of the shelves and display. 2 stars because their service was unsatisfactory. There was a sales associate in the aisle that was friendly and helpful. However, the rest of the service we experienced was disappointing. At the checkout, we noticed the total price of the tomatoes we bought was different from the tag price. We went to the customer service to explain the problem. We were told they could not change prices so they offered a refund. The neighbouring register staff assumed our problem and told us the price was different because the total amount of tomatoes probably weighed more than one pound. We were talking about the price per pound rather than the total price. When we tried to explain the problem again, we were cut off and interrupted with them implying we didn't understand. Because they already told us in the beginning they could not fix the prices and they clearly were not interested in knowing that their prices on the shelves were listed incorrectly, we decided to refund the tomatoes and leave. My all time favorite Walmart location. It's a super centre, so do I need to say more?! It's pretty huge , well stocked all the time plus some amazing discounts going on from time to time. I visit this store often enough to know enough they keep updating stuff all the time. Staff is usually good and helpful. Only complaint is it gets very busy at weekends. I certainly avoid going there at weekends. They have expanded their veggies and fruits section because of which I am delighted. Even their deli section is good enough. Special mention to the latest Delivery Tower they built in the store ! Oh it's a great technology and so efficient! So, for smaller packages you can go to the tower in the centre of the store, scan your order number from mobile and the package comes out automatically. It's wonderful and so time saving. They have also increased the scan-and- go counters which was certainly required from a long time. Happy customer! What else can I say! read more
