Smack dab in the center of town with a generous parking lot. It is from the Albertson's family of grocery stores. It was clean, stocked, organized, well lit, wide aisles...but nothing gourmet or something to write home about. They do carry bread from a local bakery and I did see a cheese made from a local creamery...nice touches as I am a fan of reducing your carbon footprint and supporting/eating local. There was a Starbucks inside with four tables and free wireless. You could also get a sub or a mini pizza (but it is ready in 90 seconds-ew). I would also skip the sushi. Small beer selection with a mix your own six pack option. No liquor. They did have some decent snacks like seeded curry mango tortilla chips, Sahale snacks, and Hint Fizz Water. Also, you can pick up some fresh cut flowers. There were tables set up outside which was a nice treat for my tired barking dogs aka feet....and I found it entertaining watching two guys drinking beer out of their refillable water bottles.....very odd. I enjoy shopping at this location. It's pretty clean, the prices are great, and the people that work here are usually pretty friendly. They do have a Starbucks within the store, so bonus points for that. The produce section is usually filled with fresh goods. The bakery and deli section are also great and offer a lot of options. Good beer and wine selection too. It's also convenient that they are open 24/7. read more

I came here the other day trying to find some lunch items when I stumbled upon their fresh sandwich section. Wow, do they have a lot of choices, and on Tuesdays they are half off, so that is always good. I ended up going with their pre-made Chicken Salad on Sourdough and I was very surprised to have a sandwich that was wrapped in a plastic that was so tasty and fresh. Good job Harris Teeter, however funny you name may sound, you have tasty food. read more

I love this Harris Teeter for a variety of reasons. The first being that it's a great store. The produce is good and always stocked. It's always busy and you always see someone you know here. The have the $2.99 daily special sub, check out even when it's busy went fast. It also caused an adrenalin rush when you pulled into the parking lot with the signs letting you know that if you were here longer than two hours you'd be towed. And they do tow, I've seen a few ladies with their full shopping carts in a panic because their mercedes/bmw SUVs' had been removed. Sometimes they'd been in the store 30 minutes, sometimes 2 hours. read more

Went shopping here while staying at a local bed and breakfast. Ordered a couple hoagies to go. The rudest, most unfriendly woman made the sandwiches. Zero smile, zero personality, zero acknowledgement that my fiancé and I were there. By far the worst service experience in our week here in Charleston and one of the worst ever anywhere. read more

This is a very nice store and easy to access for tourists. They have a good wine section and many yummy prepared foods if you want to get something to go. It is a full sized grocery store, so you can find virtually anyhing you are looking for here. We usually shop here whenever we are in town for something or another. read more

Good for one stop shopping while traveling. Served its purpose. The organic produce selection, however, was mediocre and not very fresh the days I visited. Pretty sad looking honestly. The roasted chicken is a fantastic grab and value for quick snacks between meals. read more

I shop here weekly and I'm always pleased with the customer service. One time I left a bag of groceries. When I realized it and called the store regarding my forgotten bag, even though it wasn't found, the manager was incredibly trusting and helpful (too bad the people in line behind me were not). I generally shop late and get a lot. The cashiers are always polite and will scan my goods even though the store goes to a you scan system. I really like the people they hire here. I trust them and they reciprocate that. read more

I just had to leave Teets a rave review after one of the best customer service experiences I've had in a grocer store! Harris Teeter is consistently great, but today I purchased some sushi that tasted pretty meh (not saying it was bad/off but was just not as delicious as it normally is) and I really didn't want to return it because I felt like a jerk. I work right next store and shop here 3-4 times p/week and also just couldn't justify spending $7 on something I wanted to throw out. I reluctantly returned it, and received excellent customer service from someone (kicking myself I didn't get her name) working at approx. 2:30pm today at the customer service desk. I was swiftly given a refund and an apology and she was so sweet to let me grab something else for lunch on the house! I felt so bad about the return in the first place, and she really just made my day! It goes to show you that some still take their jobs seriously and go the extra mile. I will always continue to shop at this location, and tell others of my great experience. You made my day Teets! read more

I love Harris Teeter. Its my favorite grocery store of all time. Harris Teeter isn't always the cheapest, but shopping is always a pleasure. Its clean and they have the u-scan and the people are really friendly and always speak to me. I live right behind the Food Lion on King, so that store and the Meeting Street Pig are closer to me, but for weekly shopping trips, I go the extra distance to Teeter. read more
