TW really is a godsend. Sure, you can buy booze at ABC or even Sam's, but TW's selection is HUGE, intuitive, clearly marked, and encourages you to try new beverages. While we're not beer drinkers, we've brought friends in (when visiting) to peruse the bountiful selection. Further, we appreciate TW's commitment to offering specials on specific liquors. A few times, we've walked in just to see what the vodka and wine specials/deals are, tried them, and been pleasantly surprised. You can find very unusual beers here- including, National, regional, international and local breweries- and they have beers on draft they sell by the growler. If you go to a restaurant or somewhere for a wine tasting, you can pretty much find it at Total Wine. I've been frequenting here for years. It's my go to place if I'm looking for specifics. There wine is sectioned off by place of origin which is extremely helpful. For instance, I love German Riesling so I can just go to the German section and buy all the different brands of Riesling that is offered. I love Spanish Tempranillo and other Spanish red blends. So I just walk on over to the Spanish section and find what I need. I love when I happen to walk in and they are doing a tasting. Is a great way to try new wines. As the name states, it's Total Wine and More, so there is plenty more to purchase. They have a great selection of beer and ciders. They have plenty of novelties and items to go along with your beer or wine purchase. And as you enter the store, if you go to your right there's a liquor section. Any brand of liquor that you are looking for can be found at this location. Total Wine & More is a great place to go gift shopping and a great place overall. Of all ABC stores I've frequented in the last year, Total Wine does the best job of staying safe during the COVID-19 pandemic. Not only are masks required in the store, Total Wine provides hand sanitizer and surgical masks at the entrance in case you forget or need a clean mask. Some parking spaces are also marked for curbside pick up, although I've never used it here. All employees wear masks and stand behind plexiglass barriers. The workers were very nice, greeting me at the door and asking if I needed any assistance. I just wanted to browse, but I appreciated them asking. I try to buy local liquor from distilleries or canned beer directly from breweries, but I'll visit Total Wine for liquor shopping sprees or hard to find products. read more

We were confused as we couldn't find the Medira we fell in love with at a local restaurant. So they asked what we were looking for. It was in the separate spirits section as South Carolina has bizarre laws on when you can buy alcohol of certain strength. We found what we were looking for after their kind help. And we left happy. Coming from another state, I didn't realize that the liquor portion and the wine portion or separated. The wine portion stays open much later and the liquor portion closes at 7 PM and disclose all day on Sunday. I stopped in here for the first time to pick up Evan Williams White Bottled In Bond 100 Proof. It was easy to locate. The cashier was nice and quickly checked me out. They have thick white plastic bags that can withstand heavy bottles. Much better than the flimsy black ones you get at the stores near me. Their app has recently been accurate, so I have been able to check for items in stock before driving to the store. I recently revisited Total Wine to pick up nonalcoholic wines and spirits, and I was impressed with the variety available. Total Wine also has a fantastic selection of obscure beer that's been hard or impossible to find anywhere else. I've recently picked up much of the Ranch Water brand seltzer from Total Wine. Tricky to come here if you don't know what exactly you're looking for and you'll probably buy more that you anticipated. Not only is their wine selection never ending, but they've also got beer and seltzers and on a completely other side of the store, there's liquer. Did someone say tastings? I shopped here quite often. I took my non-drinking neighbor here for her birthday and we noticed some small bottles of non-alcoholic sparkling lemonade for $5.99 on the shelf. As I browsed the coupons on the app, it was $4 off each 700ml bottle. We each decided to try it, so I bought two bottles. I noticed today that my receipt was way off, so I examined it and found that the bottles were $35 each (minus my app rewards and the coupons) and told my neighbor I wanted to take them back. She agreed and I went to customer service, where a bright blonde manager with heavy makeup started to help me. I told her that was not the price I saw on the shelf and wanted a refund. My neighbor had opened her bottle, as the seal was broken and the manager told me. I shrugged and said "isn't there a return for really bad tasting product? It's not like she drank any." She said, "THAT'S NOT WHAT YOU TOLD ME." I reiterated I just can't pay $30 for a bottle of lemonade. I stood there while she tapped on a register and then motioned with her pointer finger for me to come around to that register. She asked me to use my card at the terminal. I did. "IT'S DECLINED! DO YOU HAVE ANOTHER CARD?" That's weird. Is that a trigger for most customers, to be told their card is declined? I think she was pushing buttons. lol I told her I used this very bank-card to buy the bottles yesterday and no, I didn't have another card on me. Can't she just issue a refund using the receipt (like many stores). "Well, try it again." I did, and this time, it asked for my PIN. I shrugged and told her it didn't ask for my PIN the first time. Maybe that's it. "WHENEVER YOU USE YOUR DEBIT CARD TO PAY FOR ANYTHING AND WANT TO RETURN IT, YOU HAVE TO PUT YOUR PIN IN!" (That wasn't my point. I just wanted to get away from this "BBBBBB." IYKYK.) I asked to deal with any other manager, as she and I just weren't connecting. "THERE AREN'T ANY MANAGERS HERE. JUST ME." I had just spoken to a couple of men in name tags and dress shirts - they looked like managers. I said I'd go find one of them. Then she said she had called another manager up to the register, unbeknownst to me. The lady that finally helped me processed the refund and apologized. I told her I run a multinational retail company and I have NEVER had an interaction like this and hoped I never had one in the future. How can someone rise to management with that attitude? Yikes. I'll go to CostCo from now on. And Target even has a non-alcoholic section for my friend. This experience, despite many previous trips with the nicest cashiers at Total Wine, was enough to leave this store forever. No one deserves this treatment. read more

My wife is over 25 years sober but she still enjoys a glass of wine or a beer. We solve this with non-alcoholic wines (Fre and Ariel) and non-alcoholic beers (Becks NA or Clausthaler). Those aren't always available in our local supermarket, so we stopped in to Total Wine for our weekend supplies and were amazed. They have a GREAT selection of both non-alcoholic wines and non-alcoholic beers here. Of course, they're dwarfed by their regular stuff but it was great to see three different brands of wine and a dozen different beers. Wow! On Sunday the spirit section is closed. Staff are friendly and always ready to help. They have a store loyalty program,10 points for every $1 you spend. So I came here after seeing that they carried the wine I was looking for Deepwater Vineyards. I used to get it shipped to my home but shipping is so expansive that I would only order from the Vineyard once maybe twice a year. So now that I see that they carry the wine I bought several bottles and will bring them home with me at a more lower cost.
