This bar is a hidden gem on James Island to have a beer or glass of wine! I went here for the first time with a friend on Jan 6 and we had a great experience. Their local craft beer is worth trying and will be back!

Another great visit out to Odyssey Bottle Shop. If I'm in the area, and sometimes when I'm not, I get drawn in by their rotation of fantastic food trucks and their superb selection of suds. It was a little wet, so I sat inside rather than take advantage of their lovely outdoor area. It can get a little loud inside for me, I really do enjoy a nice bit of quiet. Never any issue with service, I've always been greeted warmly and received spectacular service. I am typing now to see if I can get the message to change. Not the cheapest place to go for a drink, but good quality and worth the price.

Great spot on James Island to have a beer or glass of wine! They often have food trucks, however last night they had some delicious hotdogs! Hotdog had spicy mustard and a candied jalapeño relish on top in a pretzel roll from normandy Farms. The beer was awesome. They have several beer on tap and then a ton of other craft beer in the refrigerator coolers. Great place to relax and hang out with friends. We will be back!

Great place to have a drink after work or even as an after hours place to get a couple of drinks. It's a good location on James Island as we don't have anything really like this in the area. t's a good setting both inside and outside, with food trucks available when you want to have something to eat. It's a little over price for beers in the area, but I can understand why people keep coming back.

The new addition to James Island is a must visit. Bar with ~12 beers on tap and the option to pick out your own beer from the fridge. They have beer, wine and rose. You can stay and drink or take a 6 pack to go. Owned by a local couple who wanted craft beer available on the island. They are bringing in food trucks on the weekends. Highly recommend a visit.

Diamond in the rough!! What a gorgeous bar and killer vibe in the Odyssey Bottle Shop. Can't wait to come back and try more beers when they have a food truck on site!

The back opens up to another bar with outdoor seating, very cool. The bartender out back took our drinks, I forgot her name but she was from California originally, La Jolla area? Anyways, very friendly and was attentive even with all the guests in need. We hung out for hours, meeting locals and enjoying drinks. Decided to order food and they had a cheese dip that was spot on. My wife ordered the steak salad and the steak was overcooked, but when asked how things were, they were quick to make it right, and brought out another steak to fix the issue. 5 stars! I hope they see this review and know that they are doing something right. I do wish they had better merch. I wanted to buy stuff but was told their shirts shrink quite a bit after washing. Bummer.

A group of about 8 of us went out for drinks Saturday (5/2/26). We were having a great time (respectful, quiet, not causing a problem). Last call hit at 1:30 so we decided one more drink before we went our ways home. 10 mins later we're were asked to leave the courtyard and head inside - not a problem. We will finish our drinks inside. 5 minutes after that, we were asked to take our last sips and leave. 15 mins before the posted closing time. Again, we weren't causing a problem, weren't loud, weren't disruptive. This was a group of 8, most of us well into our 40s (or older). But they were telling all guests to leave at 1:45a?? Just after we bought drinks? The posted hours say they close at 2a. Not 1:45a. Most of us left half finished drinks. The large bouncer was nice enough, the tiny one in a hoodie with glasses was totally unprofessional. So beware. The Blind Tiger has what it takes to remain a Charleston institution. Their staff, might ruin that chance.

Stopped in mid day on Saturday and didn't have a reservation and had to wait about 15 minutes which isn't too bad. You can walk around the hotel while you wait. They had a specialty fall cocktail menu which was super cool. I ordered the Haunted Market Street Margarita and it was amazing. It had charcoal simple syrup and lava salt which gave it such an interesting flavor. We shared the Pimento cheese appetizer and I am so glad we ordered. It was so good and the presentation was beautiful. I don't normally enjoy pimento but I did here. My parents shared the turkey club and said it was great. Will always stop by when I'm in Charleston. Great place to watch a game if you can get a seat at the bar.

It's not my favorite type of Mexican restaurant, as it's a little more upscale than I *personally* prefer, but if upscale Mexican is your vibe, then this'll be the perfect restaurant for you! They had an alright selection of beers, to include a couple of IPAs, but my friends and I didn't really enjoy their cocktails. They were expensive, but lacking in much flavor or zest. Besides looking cool, the taste didn't really match the aesthetic. Furthermore, the food was solid, but not that much better than your basic Mexican restaurant. As for the service, our waiter was nice enough, but he always seemed to be in a hurry, and was walking away while we were still trying to give our order. All-in-all, I'm probably making Matador sound worse than it was, but it was merely a slightly above-average Mexican experience, not a transcendental dining experience that I'll never forget. I'll give it 3/5 stars, and would recommend it based on your personal preference.

The service was on point and the bartender was killing it at the bar - multitasking making 3 drinks all at once. It was super impressive and I took a few videos of him. I'm giving 4 stars because the first cocktail I ordered was SO SWEET that I couldn't get it down. I tried to drink it but had to send it back. We asked when we ordered about the flavor profile and supposedly it wasn't sweet, but all 3 of us agreed it was way oversweet. My black manhattan was phenomenal and my husband had a mocktail moscow mule that was awesome. Overall, I'd come back again - just be mindful of the ingredients in the drink and modifying as needed for sweetness. Make a reservation if you can!

They had the texture and flavor of ribs but were made from corn and served with an incredible chipotle dipping sauce that brought everything together perfectly! For our main dish, we ordered the spinach and feta pita, which was warm, gooey, and packed with flavor. The pita was stuffed with spinach and feta, making it rich and comforting--almost like a warm hug. It also came with a fresh side salad that was tangy and refreshing, which balanced the richness of the pita really well! I do wish that the pita was a bit more flavorful on the inside, not just the outside. My husband also ordered an Old Fashioned and said it was excellent.
