Lampshade and finial purchased from Harolds, and now I realize my lamp could use some polish on the metal bits.
Wendy B.

I had some old candlestick table lamps, that were in need of a lampshade and was not having any luck with online shopping. I wanted something on the elegant side. The friendly red haired clerk was so helpful! I showed her a photo of the lamps and she found the perfect shades and was so patient while I was choosing the finials. They have some fun finials BTW. I explained how the lamps were very old and the clerk offered some tips for what to look for on the cords to ensure they were safe to plug in. I am going to have to replace the cords for sure. When I was checking out my friend and I asked about the beautiful chandeliers above the checkout counter and she turned them on for us. Be sure to check these out if you visit. I was also allowed to choose a poinsettia to take home!

Please excuse the boxes; we just moved in to a new house.
Lana B.

Prices are not cheap, but the salespeople here are well-informed, knowledgeable, and very helpful. I bought two light fixtures for my basement and one for a small area next to the kitchen. The lights look good and give a good amount of light to the areas.

Look! They painted the candle covers by hand!

Harold's Lighting is the only place I go for lamp repairs. They offer great repair service and have an excellent selection of shades, bulbs, and accessories. I've tried other places, but none compare to Harold's. My first visit hooked me back in 2008 when I took a chandelier in to get rewired. How surprising it was to find that all the candle covers had been replaced and painted by hand to give the illusion of really ancient tapers with wax dripping down their sides. And that was in addition to giving it a deep clean; it was a 20 dollar yard sale find, but dirty. You'll see in the photos that 10 years later, my chandelier still looks like a million bucks. More recently, a marble pillar lamp got repaired, and it now has that luscious brown cloth cord (okay, so I splurged a bit). But for 80 bucks, I got top-of-the-line materials and a great cleaning job. This lamp looks like it was just stolen from out of Versailles. The basic rewire job with regular cord is $65, and with the fancy yummy cord upgrade, repair is around $80, but it's totally worth it, especially if you are trying to spruce up an antique. Harold's Lighting has rewired many lamps in my house. I even have one in the shop now, with about 8 more to go. Harold's Lighting is the one and only lamp shop for me.

Ryan took time to look at and said if i didn't mind a small piece being possibly damaged, he could probably help me.

The salespeople know what they're talking about, try to understand your needs, and don't try to upsell you. The family-owned business, since the 80s, sources its furniture to ensure quality and sustainability, making me feel good about where I spend my money. The prices are fair, and you're assured of getting very good-quality furniture that will last for a very, very long time. We bought a Stressless chair, which they sell many of, in the 90s, and it's still my favorite chair in the house. Even the delivery people love working there and care about your satisfaction. We live in a condo where they had to carry a large piece of furniture up four flights of stairs. One board got slightly banged up; they showed it to us, took pictures, sent them back to their manager, and assured us they would take care of it. Later, the owner came out, fixed the dings enough where we were happy, but he wasn't. He said this will do until we can get you a replacement because you bought something new, and you shouldn't have something newly fixed; you should have something you know is new. I can go on and on about what a great experience and value it is to shop there, but most have probably stopped reading this by now. Suffice it to say: if you want excellent-quality furniture that is super comfortable, long-lasting, puts a smile on your face when you see or use it, and makes you feel good about where your money went, buy it at Bedrooms and More. To the Owners, Thank You...We need more small business like you.

Her original delivery date was scheduled for mid-September/October for the couch and early November for the bench. It's now November, and she still doesn't have her couch -- and the bench has been delayed until December. The delivery team was supposed to bring the couch on Tuesday but claimed they couldn't find her house and simply left. After hours on hold and speaking to multiple employees who all gave different answers, she was told it would be delivered Thursday -- only to now be told next Monday. We're extremely disappointed. My mom even planned ahead -- we took back the couch she'd been borrowing from us on Monday, expecting her new one Tuesday. Now she'll be without a couch for a full week. That's unacceptable after spending this much money. I warned her about this store because of their terrible delivery reviews during Covid, but we were assured by an employee that those issues were in the past. Clearly, that's not true. For a store this expensive, the customer service and logistics are shockingly poor. You can easily find better quality furniture, lower prices, and far more reliable service elsewhere. Save yourself the stress -- do not order from here.

They're incredibly knowledgeable and saved me from making the wrong choice (seriously). They explained key differences between towel types, how long the super-lush towels take to dry, and helped me compare the waffle vs. classic options in a way that actually made the decision easy. I'm remodeling two bathrooms and brought in photos-- they guided me to the perfect color direction and it made such a difference. Professional, warm, and zero pressure. I'll absolutely be back next time I'm in the Village. Pro tip: go in to see/feel the fabrics and colors in person, then order through the store to support local retail. Best experience.

The order arrived incomplete, requiring a replacement shipment for the fitted sheet that did not arrive until mid-July. Between that delay, waiting for our new bed, and extended international travel, we didn't meaningfully begin using the set until October. Once we did, it became clear that the Bone color didn't work for our bedroom. The duvet cover was completely unused, and the sheets and pillowcases were lightly used and in excellent condition. Despite this being a color-only exchange for the same items, Parachute refused to honor the original sale price and required paying over $200 more to switch colors. After escalation, they made it clear that they were choosing to stand on policy rather than prioritize a reasonable customer relationship. Given the premium pricing, this rigidity was especially disappointing and not reflective of a brand that claims to value its customers. In hindsight, I don't feel the product quality or overall experience justifies the cost. I won't be purchasing from Parachute again or recommending the brand to others within my network.
