Me and my boyfriend were both creeped out here last week. The other morning, I called in and booked same day massages for me and my BF. A nice woman helped me with the booking. It was a first-time experience at this place for both of us. I had been to many massage parlors and massage therapists before. It was my boyfriend's first time having a massage. We both were looking forward to it. The back door entry was a little creepy and there was an odd vibe to this place. I had been in some pretty sketchy places before that were so much worse and I was with my bf so it was whatever. The ratings also looked legit, so I dismissed it. However, the guy at the front desk made me feel uncomfortable when I asked him where the bathroom was. I saw the masseuse that was supposed to massage me after I left the bathroom. I walked past him in the hallway. I just got the weirdest vibe. I felt super uncomfortable. My boyfriend let me know he was feeling uncomfortable, as well. He also saw the masseuse hanging around and was just uncomfortable, again a weird vibe. So I know it wasn't just me. We just wanted to get out of there asap. We didn't care about the cancelation fee, as both of us would rather pay to not feel violated/uncomfortable. I shared this with one of the owners and it was not met with understanding, more like they were just afraid I was asking for a refund than concerned that I was uncomfortable . His response was "We've never had this issue before". I would have handled the interaction a bit differently. read more

I had a massage by Sheryle that was AMAZING! So amazing that I emailed the following week to get on her schedule again. Was able to schedule an appointment over email. Now, I hate to be critical of any business because we're all working hard out here in the world. A lot of us can take it down a few notches and chill. So my issue wouldn't prevent me from going to see Sheryle again buuuuttttt... I discover I'm going to be out of town on the day I scheduled my massage... it's still a few weeks out, so I email again (just like I did to schedule the appointment, remember?)... I get an email back saying they cannot accept cancellations via email, you have to call (weird but okay). So I call... and got left on hold for 10 minutes. Hang up, call back, got vm so we'll see if it sticks. So you can SCHEDULE an appointment via email, but not CANCEL an appointment via email. Any hurdle where I have to actually talk to a live person slows me down, so we'll see if I can pull it together to get back on Sheryle's schedule (bc she was truly amazing and awesome). read more

I've been twice now with Deidre and it was the best messages I've ever had. She concentrated on my back and neck as they were so damaged in a gang beating I was subjected too when I was 14. Brutalized with crow bars, pipes until I was in a coma, they left me for dead. I had to be Helivac to a hospital. I found this place completely by accident while looking for some businesses that have a Reflexology specialist. Then when I realized it was in the area, I reached out, and within a few hours, I received an email from the staff to let me know there was an opening for their Reflexologist later that day. Of course, I called them immediately and decided to book the appointment! The staff were very nice on the phone, and suggested I arrive early to fill out some forms. Like most, I am very cautious these days with massage appointments etc., so I felt very assured when I got to the business that they were using great PPE to protect the staff and customers. I met Yuko, who would be doing my reflexology, and she is the sweetest lady! The room and bed were superbly clean, and the bed was also pre-warmed which I loved! Yuko explained briefly what my 30 minutes would entail, and asked if I had any specific questions. She let me relax the whole time which I appreciated, so I was able to just breathe and take it all in. She used great pressure, but also made me feel relaxed. I was so happy with my experience that I booked another appointment when paying for the service, this time for an hour! I love these holistic type of approaches, and Yuko certainly knows what she is doing. I will have to try other services here too in the future! read more

This place was not good, air conditioning was non existent when there, clients and therapists sweating in small rooms. Disorganized. The owner did not care except when there was a "problem". I worked at many other places that were so much better and cleaner for sure. read more

I've been going to off and on for a couple years and seen multiple massage therapists and have always been happy. More recently I have been going frequently. Everyone there has been very friendly. I recommend Rosie because she is a skilled massage therapist and she listen to your needs. I've heard nothing but good things about others, too. read more

I always know that the people I send to Harmony are in good hands. Their massage therapists have great people skills and an excellent assortment of therapeutic techniques. Whether it's relaxation, or a problem needs addressed, Harmony always excels. Their prices are better than mostly everyone else in the area. The only places I know are cheaper are Asian spas, which I suppose are OK in their own right. The waiting area is always very relaxing, they always have a wide variety of teas to choose from while you're waiting. The massage rooms themselves are also very comfortable, complete with some pleasant spa music. Eva is definitely my go-to person for relaxation massage, she is unparalleled when it comes to needing to unwind. When I need some deep tissue work, almost anyone there can do it well but I prefer Sheryle the most. I've referred many of my family and friends to Harmony and they have all raved about their massages. They still come in from time to time! Definitely give this place a go! read more

First massage was awesome. The deep tissue was amazing and I loved the cozy table to lie on. It was perfect, although the massage therapist talked the entire time but wasn't a huge deal. I enjoyed the conversation and next time I'll just set my own boundary if I want quiet. Second massage was not so awesome. The massage was decent but the rest of the experience was bad. The masseuse blasted alternative indie folk/rock music next to my head. Which was super weird for a massage. Inappropriate music for massage. She was also a bit gruff and intimidating- just not very welcoming or anything. I don't think I'll be returning. Personally, I want a more calm and soothing atmosphere. read more

Working in Surgery during the Covid-19 pandemic and I pulled a back muscle moving a sick patient onto the surgery table and back to his bed after surgery. I endured this pain for two weeks. I finally decided that I needed professional intervention. I called many different massage clinics and was unable to find someone who would treat me ( at this point I felt like this was an urgent situation) I finally connected with Harmony massage in Bothell. Not only did the manager find a way to have me seen that day, but I was able to have a 90 minute massage. Monica was my masseuse. She found all my problem spots and did an amazing job. I left feeling 100% better. I felt great for 4 days and then the stiffness returned albeit not as severe. Thank goodness , I had already made a second appointment for a week later... My husband and I both did not like Rosie at all. She spoke through the entire massage! At one point even asking, "So what do you do for work?" My husband almost lost it on her and could not relax. On the other hand, I think her name was Mariko, was amazing. And Quiet. But she still asked me the necessaries: How's the pressure; not how's your job! Next, Rosie complained about the music and said if she could control the radio, she would have it on Eagles radio. I can not make this up, folks. I felt like I was on a hidden camera show! We were getting a couple's massage in the same room. I'm trying to tune out Rosie, who is now audibly breathing and moaning, when she asks loudly, "Do I have your permission to touch you here?" As a wife, how could I not jolt my head up to see what the heck was going on? So much for a relaxing massage. Also, the bodega up front is off-putting. All of the items are old and dusty. This place is terrible. I have visited Harmony Massage numerous times expecting a relaxing and professional massage what I received was a very disappointing experience. The therapist who gave the massage had rough hands and seemed like she did not have any formal or professional massage training. I should've taken note they share space with a retail store and appeared more like an amateur shop and establishment. I don't plan on going back due to the poor massage experience. It felt like they hire people off the street with little to no training or experience to act as massage therapists. I recommend going to Dreamclinic in Seattle or Redmond. WTF? The unprofessionalism here is frustrating to say the least. I found this business through the Premera website as an "In network" massage therapist after my motorcycle accident. I called and set the appointment, gave all my information and was told I would get a call back if any issues arose. If anyone has tried to find a massage therapist utilizing insurance due to a motor vehicle accident, you know it's tough, and takes forever to schedule an appointment if you're lucky enough to find a place to take you at all. I receive my confirmation/reminder text for my appointment "Perfect" I thought to myself. I left work early on Christmas eve to make this appointment, I arrived early because I assumed there would be paperwork to fill out as a new patient. Upon arrival, I gave the front desk staff my doctors note/prescription and was given a lengthy form to fill out. I sat down, filled out the entire form and handed it back. As I was waiting, minutes before my scheduled appointment, the front desk staff asked if I was paying out of pocket.. "what?.. no, this is through insurance" She replied with "We don't take Premera insurance, let me make some calls" I sat there patiently as she called the other front desk staff that had the day off, apparently THAT employee failed to call me back to let me know there was a problem. The woman stated she would give me a discount on this massage and figure it out moving forward. "uhm, are you kidding me" how good is a discounted massage? Harmony massage, get your shit together, there are people out here that need a service that you provide, we take time out of our lives to come to your establishment and this is what you have to offer? I've had to start my hunt for a massage therapist all over again, most are weeks out for booking. read more

So happy I came here to enjoy a nice relaxing massage. I have bad tension in my neck/shoulder area and head, some in my back. This was my second professional massage but the first one I got with an in-home lady was a long time ago and not an hour long like this one. I wanted more so a Migraine style massage but Mike recommended an all over just because it was my first time but he would focus on my shoulders, neck, and back. Great idea, as the places that he got which I didn't think were necessary way before a massage felt amazing afterwards! Great price too! I recommend coming here and it's cute inside with a boutique merged. Nice little set up and not too fancy where you feel out of place with snooty people. Friendly front-desk helpers and therapists; very responsive, too. I emailed them first to check in about times and prices and they mentioned calling is better but still followed-up with emails to answer my questions. So nice to go that extra little mile that helps me out! Mike is awesome and I cannot wait to come back and get another massage. Check-in has a discount for first timers on Yelp! ;) One thing I recommend is for you all to pass out appointment business cards so customers don't have to write down or put in their phones right away. Something nice with your business information and then our appointment time and date on the back. Just a suggestion. I know I will be back and I told my mother about this place so she can get a massage sometime (plus I scheduled after my first apt). Went for a couples massage. The room was tiny and the massage therapist's had difficulty moving around the tables, which was awkward to listen to. They also were running late, so the appointment started about 15 minutes behind schedule. Since we were instructed to arrive early to do paperwork, we ended up sitting in the waiting area for almost a half hour. I also did not feel comfortable with the person I was assigned to. I will not be going back. This is definitely more of a place for medical - related massages, not a place to go for relaxation. read more

I have been getting weeky massage therapy at Harmony Massage and have never had better service. The staff is very friendly, especially the receptionist. They always call a day ahead of time to confirm your appointment, which really helps when you have a super busy schedule like I do. I recommend Tawnya as a massage therapist. She has been in the business for many years and gets the job done. Most insurances are taken here, which is great for people who need therapy. They have multiple massage therapists who all take a variety of insurances, so if one person does not another may take yours. No hesitations to recommend to anyone! read more

Attempted to make an appointment with this outfit, my insurance Regence does not require a referral I get 16 massage a year and have been getting them regular but moved to Bothell and looking for new place. Person I spoke to kept insisting needed a referral, kept trying to explain wasn't required but would not make appointment without, they easily could have verified with Regence if so desired instead wanted to waste my time, now they lost a potential customer. I had a horrible kink in my neck. I was able to get in here same day. the front of the building is a dance studio. Walk through that and to the end of the hall to check-in. It's a little awkward but the result is a fantastic massage. I have to say this was one of the most relaxing massages I've ever had. The rooms are perfectly lit for a massage and the tables are extra-comfy. Jennifer really worked out the kinks in my neck and did a fantab job. Updated to 3 star from 1 star. See update below: I'll start this review out with the gist in case long reviews bore you. My massage was so bad that I actually walked out of it before it was finished. First time I've ever done that in my life. I needed a deep tissue for a sports related rib injury that has healed, but the surrounding muscles were still super tight. This was communicated when I scheduled the appointment and to the therapist before the treatment started. This massage was the opposite of a deep tissue. I'm not even kidding when I say this... I apply more pressure to my own body putting on lotion in the morning. I laid there waiting for her to actually massage my thoracic back area like I requested. An hour and 15 in, I just couldn't take it any longer and asked her to just let me get dressed. I had reminded her early on that this was a deep tissue massage and to please apply more pressure and focus on the areas we talked about (in a very professional, kind manner, of course). I think there was either a language barrier or she chose to just totally ignore me. My husband was getting a massage too. His experience wasn't quite as bad, however it wasn't good either. His therapist asked him how much pressure he wanted, and he responded with more pressure if she was capable of it. Her response, "I don't like to be directed". So why ask?! She then mentioned without provocation that he could get another massage therapist next time. At the end of this all, I paid $198 for these services. Harmony would only discount the massage 10%. I'm a reasonable person, but I was shocked given that I'm a repeat customer who walked out of a massage that they wouldn't comp my massage. I'll caveat this experience with one fact. I have had a good massage here. Monica is a great therapist. However, this experience and how Harmony elected to respond to it has earned only a 1 star review. P.s. My therapist's name was Eva and my husband's name was Destine. If you do venture into this place, I'd suggest avoiding services provided by them. UPDATE: The owner, Julie, called me. She was very eager to hear more details about my husband's and my experience. She seemed very sincere about using customer feedback to actually make changes to improve the customer experience. She also offered to remediate the situation by offering us gift certificates for 2 more 90 minute massages to allow her company another opportunity to serve us better. Although the experience during our treatments merited a 1 star review, Julie's professionalism and concern to remediate the situation shines a much better light on Harmony Massage. read more

I have a mixed review. On one side they have multiple massage therapists and are open in the evenings which works well with most schedules. On the down sides the massages are pretty generic, the rooms and environment are just so so. The biggest downside is that they can't get their shit together when scheduling especially when scheduling insurance patients. I've had more than a few scheduled massages that had to be cancelled or rebooked because not all of their therapists are certified for insurance companies yet they continue to book me with people that I can't use my insurance with. I'm super obvious about this when I call to schedule yet it continues to happen. I've also had conflicting information from then regarding the rx for massage. One woman told me my rx for 12 massages would last a year. I scheduled a massage and got a call a few hours before the massage telling me my rx was expired (after 6mo which negates what I was previously told). How horrible is it to be looking forward to a massage only for them to tell you that at the last minute. I have decided that the negatives far outweigh any of the positives and I will not be going back to this business. So all in all there is nothing special about this place. Better to find a different alternative if you want to have a quality repeatable experience. read more

Harmony is sometimes amazing, sometimes below average. Front desk staff are great, as are the massage therapists, but the operation does not run smoothly most times. I've had appointments left off the books, therapists just not show up, mistakes with my insurance billing, therapists leaving without notifying clients, and so on. I will keep coming back because the massages are pretty good and it's close to home, but if I ever move part of me will be relieved to find some place new. read more
