The day before the treatment, I received a call from their receptionist informing me that the therapist preferred 90 minute slots and asked if I would be willing to update my massage from 60 to 90 minutes. Otherwise they would need to reschedule me for another slot. Their other time did not work for me. While the receptionist was very friendly and polite, the reasoning that the therapists didn't want to have empty portions in their schedules felt like a bait and switch. Essentially, asking me to spend more money with the therapist to make my visit worthwhile for them. This was frustrating especially because I had already booked a 60 minute massage with upgrades. Receptionist stated this is a known issue with their online scheduling platform, which seems idiotic issue that should be fixed for a large franchise since it significantly impacts the customer experience. This is the first time it has happened, so it's possible it is a therapist by therapists preference, but be alert that they may not be able to keep your appointment.

It was already the end of…read morethe day, around 3:30pm, and was anticipating finding a place to schedule for later in the week or following week. I Yelped around and stumbled on this listing. I emailed through the website and inquired about pricing. The owner responded fairly quickly saying that she had an opening from 4pm if I wanted to come in. I rushed down and got there right at 4. To my surprise, the door was locked. But there was a sign that said if you have an appointment, to please knock. When Xin opened the door, I quickly learned that it's a one woman business, which is why the front door is locked. (this is what I assumed after being there) The place is small but it didn't matter because all I cared about was the quality of the massage. The massage itself was excellent. I've experienced massages at Elements and at hotel spas, but I felt that getting a massage from Xin was very relaxing and also affordable. Pros: Affordable Relaxing massage Xin is very friendly and nice Very responsive with email Loved the hot towel during the massage Cons: Some noise (mainly footsteps) from the floor above Honestly, I didn't care if I could hear footsteps from the person/people upstairs. The massage was relaxing enough for me to just enjoy and focus on my self-care. But if you're bougie and need to be in some fancy spa like environment, this probably wouldn't be the place for you. However, if all you want is a relaxing massage for a great price, I highly recommend booking with Xin. I thought she was excellent!

I had to ask her to move to a different spot after half the massage. Then the head spa was not a head spa. She vigorously scrubbed my scalp with the pointed scalp tool for 2 shampoos. And then a quick conditioner with the same scalp tool. There was no massage of the head, temples, no different tools that they use in other head spa places. She "massaged" my shoulder back area again during the head spa but it was so rough that I am still sore 3 days later. I frequently get massages including Thai massages, Swedish, head, etc. There was no technique at all. Do not be mislead. The prices are cheap but there's a reason.
