I will start with we will definitely be going back to the Mango Street Inn. Prior to our arrival, I…read morereceived an email from Tree, one of the owners, who set expectations regarding arrival to my wife and myself's visit for our 1st anniversary. So when we did arrive, we were able to get settled in exactly as we expected. The room looked just like the pictures that we saw on their web page which was nice. Having a full kitchen and standard coffee pot for that lazy morning coffee was also a plus. The breakfast is fantastic. It starts at 9, and you can come and go as you please. Just sit down and your breakfast will be brought out. Another benefit of staying at the Mango Street Inn, as opposed to a standard hotel are the small amenities you get, that are often overlooked when planning a visit to the beach. For example, the beach chairs, umbrella, umbrella stake and cooler are all ready for you. Tree even put together some ice for the cooler to keep the beverages cold. You would have to rent all of that if you stayed at a traditional hotel. Also the location is amazing. Pack up your gear and walk across the street for beach access. You are also one spot down from a local breakfast gem right on the corner, where if you don't get there early you will have a wait that is well worth it. To top it off, as my wife and I were leaving, we left her iPad, and I received a phone call from Tree the next day telling me that she had it, and where could she send it. As a frequent traveler, I have lost items in those big chain hotels, and I just consider them lost. Not at Mango Street Inn. To bring it back to where I started. After our first visit on our one year anniversary, it was clear to my wife and I that we had started a tradition at the Mango Street Inn with Tree & Dan. We cannot wait until next year.

A Cuban food truck across the street made it possible to grab our shot of coffee & walk over to lay in the sand for the day. It has a comfortable king bed and a shower/jacuzzi tub. The bathroom has beautiful furnishings. Breakfast was wonderful with eggs, bacon, tator tots, fruit and yogurt with several juices and coffee. The gals that are on the property during the day were eager to help us plan our stay. I will definitely return to the Hibiscus House!

We really wanted to love Hibiscus House but unfortunately we didn't get there…read more We've stayed at many Bed and Breakfasts and our favorite thing about them is the intimate experience staying in a home-like environment. Staying here felt like a ghost town. Everything was done via email and lock pad the way an Airbnb would. Breakfast was simply put out and removed in the morning. Never saw people working. The room was spacious and the bathroom was immaculate. That part we loved. The house as a whole was very lovely. Only a 15 walk from downtown. The area is very noisy though. Places to sit outside but not quiet enough to enjoy. A train blasts half the night nearby and a the secret kitchen worker is very loud from 8-8:30 even if you can't see her. Overall I'd give it more of a 3.5/5 if i could be more specific. It wasn't for us but i do think a lot of people would love it. Be warned that they market it as a B&B but it's closer to an Airbnb.

Unfortunately I did not sleep a wink here, I am a super light sleeper and unfortunately the room next to ours had a couple of baritone guys that woke up at 4:30 in the morning ughhh...the beds were not the most comfy unfortunately either adding to a bit of my suffering as well. Giving it 4 stars. I unfortunately should have gotten some earplugs after the first night. I felt like they were talking to me since their convo was so close to our headboard. Owners seemed to go above and beyond so probably unfortunately just the loud guests we were next to combined with my light sleeping tendencies!!!

Independent establishment is well run and caters to all anticipated needs as part of your stay: beach chairs, beach umbrellas, a wagon to bring stuff to the beach, beach towels, some beach toys if you have kids, bikes, bike helmets and even sunscreen/bug spray if you need it! Rooms are neat and clean, ours wasn't spacious but we were outside most of the time. Each unit has an outdoor patio area with reasonable privacy, a table and two chairs. There are also other communal areas outside to relax, chat and read in the shade of the trees on the property. Would recommend this to anyone going to sanibel. Fantastic!

It was the perfect spot for a getaway. We felt very at home. We did not take advantage of the breakfast as we were only there for a weekend, but it looked great and was nicely put together. The owners really make you feel welcome. You must stay here! After months of reading reviews of the various options in the area, I was very satisfied with my selection.

When I was planning this trip for me and my boyfriend, I originally wanted a place with a view of…read morethe gulf but we opted for Manatee Bay after seeing photos of the bay views. It is a pretty and quiet little bay full of jumping fish, diving seagulls and of course- manatees! We enjoyed laying out on the deck and taking dips in BOTH of the 2 pools and watching the para-sailors go back and forth in the skyline since the beach is so close. Just around the corner is Times Square which is the hustling and bustling area of FMB where the pier is. We stayed in a 1 bedroom on the second floor with a balcony which is shared with the room next door, but there is a small partition. We wished it was a more private balcony but we could see how it would be nice if we had a group staying with us next door and we could all use the balcony together. The decor is your basic Florida beach motif but not overdone. It was a good sized unit, the bathroom had a large shower with pretty tiles and a full kitchen with refrigerator and stove top (no oven). We could've used more cooking utensils as we did a lot of cooking/grilling. AND there was only one grill for the whole Inn! I'm not sure if it happens often, but we had scheduling conflict with another guest who wanted to use the grill at the same time we did! We worked it out but it was awkward to have to decide who goes first. I would recommend they get at least one more! Connie the owner, lives at the Inn and was available to answer all questions and was very kind. We DID find it a little strange that she asked us not to bring guests onto the property since the Inn was completely booked but since we only had a couple who are Ft Myers natives stop by she said that would be fine. The price is pretty inexpensive compared to other Inns in the area and had all the amenities that we needed. Great views, quiet and clean. We would definitely consider staying here again :)
