We got a groupon and booked a sunset cruise It was more than reasonable, easy to book, very pretty, relaxing sunset boat ride. He gave us little history and we even saw some dolphins. It was very worth it !!!!!! bYob :)

5 stars for Captain Bret!!!! I called the captain with about 3 days notice saying that I would be in Charleston and wanting to propose to my girlfriend. He was very accommodating and even picked us up on his boat right at our hotel in the marina. I was nervous as hell and he was a tremendous reason why the whole event went so smoothly. We did a private charter which was very reasonably priced, so much in fact that all my friends and family were shocked at the price. I ended up proposing on an island in the Charleston Harbor and Captain Bret literally came on the island and recorded the entire thing. He also helped me out and got me a bottle of champagne on request and did not overcharge me a penny over what it cost him. There are so many places out there that could have taken advantage of me and my now fiancé on this special event and Harborview Charters just does extremely good business. I will be a customer for life and will always have good things to say about this company. Don't make the mistake of going with any other Charter or boat tour without checking out my man Bret! I have been in business my entire life and this kind of service and this kind of experience is near impossible to find! You will not be disappointed people. Call Captain Bret for your next private or group charter and you will be glad you did. Thanks again Bret for taking such good care of us and helping us make a memory that will last forever. Best Wishes, Allen

We took the sunset cruise and it was absolutely amazing! We brought a bottle of wine and our own wine glasses and enjoyed the beautiful views of Charleston harbor during the sunset with a glass of cab The tour guide was very informative and shared a lot of history with us. We even saw dolphins!!

A friend and I attended the sunset cruise last week and were very pleased with the experience. It was a rather cloudy day so we did not get to see a sunset but the other views were stunning. Captain Bret was knowledgable, friendly, and professional. He made the experience a very positive one. We saw several dolphins while on our tour and found it to be a very relaxing and fun time. I would recommend this to any and all who are looking to explore Charleston and its beauty via boat.

We had a great day on our private charter on the bay boat. The captain was very knowledgeable of the area and we were able to see many areas of Charleston from the water that we wouldn't have been able to see on land. My 3 and 1 year old loved the opportunity to see a lot of dolphins and learn about the area. The weather was perfect and the tour was just the right length for kids. Thanks Captain Bret for the perfect addition to our first trip to Charleston. The boat was located in a great park in Mt. Pleasant and the walk to the dock was very scenic as well. Lots of restaurants near by to eat before or after the tour.

Visited my son in Charleston in July & needed to do something other than the beach in the 90 degree humid weather--this was it! We chose the 10am charter. The parking directions were precise--parked at the hotel and walked down to the teal boat on the right. We arrived at 9:35a. The captain pulled the fully-fueled boat in at the same time. He placed the steps down for us to embark and took our name onto his electronic device. We could sit anywhere we liked. Our boat was filled with everyone shortly before 9:55a so we were able to leave the dock early, at 9:53a. Captain had an assistant on board (female) who even snapped pictures of each couple/family during the tour, which was so wonderful. She was willing to take pictures for anyone who asked at any time. Captain described scenery and during the water tour stopped the boat any time there was a dolphin spotting. He was patient and careful to respect the marine life and very knowledgeable of guests' who had Charleston-esque questions, including me. The weather was perfect on our day and we docked right before noon. We put cash in the tip box based on the crew's willingness to take photos, the Cap's excellent handling of the boat and his knowledge of Charleston. We learned a lot and enjoyed the tour very much.

Phenomenal harbor cruise with Brett and his family tonight. We're so blessed to live in this city!

I am so impressed by this tour of Mount Pleasant and the beautiful sunset over the Ashley! The captain went out of his way for us to see more dolphins than I've ever seen in the Charleston harbor - and I'm a local!!!

The first one told me about the importance of marshland, but was hard to read because it was very faded. The second, more solid and legible sign / plaque, gave us a history of how the park got it's name and who she was. The views from this end of the park are nice and you can see the new construction of the Children's Center and the Marina along Lockwood Blvd. Pelicans could be see diving in to the water for breakfast, so we stopped to watch that for a minute. Benches are available for sitting if you are so inclined. Overall, a nice quaint park for sitting and meditating.

Directly across from the harbor, it mainly consists of an overflow pond, a fishing dock and a couple of benches under the shade of oak trees. You can relax and take in the peacefulness around you, watch the locals fish, or catch a few yourself. You have to park in the private parking lot of the condos just off of Lockwood, but I have never had a problem with this. There is not a lot of room for kids to run around but it is a cool spot to share with bigger kids who are interested in fishing. Overall though it is a great place, especially if you just need to take a minute or two for yourself.
