It was a while since we've been here. It's always an awesome view for outdoor dining. The outdoor space is on an incline making it awkward to eat on a slope since they've created more outdoor parking. The food is always delicious but everything was on the drier side this time. Still super fresh and worth the time to try this place. They have an indoor dining with an amazing view as well.

Came here for dinner on a weekday. The dinner experience at Long Island's haunted restaurant exceeded our expectations. The place was exactly what we were looking for... Inexpensive, beautiful, and romantic atmosphere! The breathtaking view from across the street, overlooking the water on a warm summer day, was lovely. Although the restaurant was busy, we chose to dine on the outdoor patio, which featured a tent to protect against the rain. The service was great, the food was delicious, and the clams and sauce were perfect. Notably, they provide accommodations for gluten-free, soy-free, and dairy-free diets. Although we didn't witness any ghostly apparitions or spirits during our outdoor dinner, the staff revealed that paranormal phenomena can occasionally be observed indoors. We highly recommend this restaurant and look forward to returning.

Was here with a large group Meatballs were tender, toothsome, well cooked, seasoned nicely with a little kick. Would order again for sure. Chicken parm did not seem pounded but was perfectly tender and a more than adequate portion. The crust was strongly adherent and crisp. Seasoning was very nice. Pork Chop was cooked perfectly and had a nice crusted piece of cheese atop it and on this crust rested a medley of hot peppers and garlic. A stupendous dish. My gripe--the potatoes and chop was sitting in what seemed to be oil. Maybe it was juice but that juice looked like oil to me. Service was great...I mean really really great! Good lighting but here during day! Acoustics were tough and hard for me to hear and be heard. Maybe because we were in a large group? I would come back again--great food and stellar service!

Enjoyed a Saturday brunch here today. We got the lobster roll and surf and turf specials and the Harbor Mist cocktail and Paloma cocktails. Also crème brûlée for dessert. Everything was delicious! They made the lobster roll with butter which I heard my bf say was delicious. Also the surf and turk was a chicken sandwich with soft shell crab. It was very good. I enjoyed the Paloma cocktail. The harbor mist was good but sweet which my bf liked. The crème brûlée was also very delicious and a bit lemony. The view was nice but our corner got a little too sunny sometimes. The only thing that was annoying was that they always come back asking if we want more things every few minutes. They rushed my bf into another cocktail and us into desserts. The restaurant wasn't that crowded at all so I don't understand why the service was kind of pushy. The food and views were good and the service was good at first but then it seemed pushy because it was every few minutes someone would check in on us and ask if we want anything else. Also there was a surcharge on using credit card that was annoying. Other than that, it was a nice place.

The hostess at Harbor Mist was wonderful. We made our reservation on Open Table and asked for a 2nd floor window view and got a text message that they were full and could not guarantee the window. We received a confirmation call morning of and were told the same thing. Once we checked in the hostess said I've got you and gave us a wonderful seat. We had a very nice waiter, but was definitely over worked and did not pay enough attention to make it an enjoyable night. He did apologize about the kitchen being backed up and we had a leisurely 2.5 hour meal. Not our choice. Did not see any tables turning over either. I guess big staffing issues. Food was good but not great. Roast beef special was a 1/2 cut with a baked potato a little bigger than a jumbo egg. I have actually had a bigger prime rib and baked potato at Outback Steakhouse that was about 30% cheaper and almost as good. Not worth the price, but tasted good. Great Caesar salad, decent baked clams and desserts by Bindi always good. All in all a good meal, decent service, but there are too many better restaurants to try than to come back here for dinner again. Maybe try lunch one day. Glad we came. Would tell others it's good. Just not worth a second try.

One of my favorites, great food, excellent service with a cozy romantic atmosphere. Always a great time to be had at Harbor Mist. They have their own parking lot which is a big plus. The wait staff is always so exceptional and knowledgeable, service with a smile. Food is some of the best on Long Island and prices are decent, nice wine list and excellent drinks being mixed here highly recommended

They started with a complimentary shrimp appetizer, but unfortunately we told the server we did not eat shrimp. He was surprised but then asked if we might like edamame, which we did. The shrimp dish did look good and was surprised they would give a more expensive complimentary dish. Anyway, nice menu and all tasty . My only negative comment is to recommend NOT to sit at the table in front of the door . It opens frequently and at least during the winter is very cold, not to mention that the headlights on the other side can go right in your eyes. Other than that , it's really a great new addition . In the warmer weather I can see they will have outdoor seating on the patio, which could be nice.

We went for lunch, two of us. First of all, the restaurant is beautiful. Contemporary decor, very…read moreelegantly done. We sat in a booth by the window and it was lovely. The only negative about the ambiance was that it was quite loud. The high ceilings didn't do much to absorb sound, so it was hard to hear my companion unless we leaned forward and spoke pretty loudly. The booth was very comfortable, the table spotless, and even the menu was clean (a small pet peeve of mine). The tap water came in a beautiful glass with a straw, although the water itself tasted a bit chemical-like. They have a lunch menu with very reasonable prices. We ordered a sushi-sashimi combo and stir-fried soba with vegetables. The lunch menu is limited, so they also gave us the regular menu. Oddly, only 1 regular menu was provided for 2 people, so we had to keep passing it back and forth. It's an easy fix that would make browsing much easier. We ended up ordering an appetizer and a signature roll from the regular menu too. The lunch specials came with salad or soup. We chose the salad, which was mostly romaine with a typical Japanese dressing. The portion was larger than expected for a side salad, and the lettuce was fresh and crunchy. Our appetizer was the Lobster Tapas: "Spicy lobster & shrimp wrapped with seared pepper tuna." This was delicious. There were 5 little towers with very fresh ingredients and 2 excellent sauces--a chunky green sauce and a sweeter orange sauce. The tuna was flavorful and very tender. At this point we were already planning to come back with the rest of the family. Next came the sushi-sashimi combo. There were 9 pieces of sashimi beautifully presented on ice, plus 3 pieces of sushi and a spicy tuna roll. The sashimi was very fresh, tender, and flavorful, especially the tuna. Unfortunately, the spicy tuna roll was the weak point. It tasted dry, lacked flavor, and seemed to contain far more crunchy fillers than tuna. It reminded me of a meatball with too much breadcrumb and not enough meat. I'd rather have a smaller roll with better-quality fish than a larger one padded with fillers. The spicy tropical roll was also disappointing. It too seemed to contain more fillers than fish, and the sauce was a little too sweet. It didn't taste fish-forward enough for a "signature" roll. The flavors leaned more fusion than authentic Japanese. If ingredient cost is the issue, I'd gladly pay a few dollars more for a better fish-to-filler ratio. The stir-fried soba with "vegetables" was also disappointing. The noodles didn't taste like Japanese buckwheat soba, and the both the taste + presentation reminded me of instant ramen. The flavor was decent but nothing memorable, and there were only a few pieces of zucchini--nowhere near enough vegetables to justify the name of the dish. The service was good overall. Our server was very sweet and friendly but definitely could use more training. While we were both trying to read the single menu, she interrupted to take our order instead of asking if we needed another minute--or even better, bringing us a second menu. Not a huge issue, but not especially pro or polished. As we were finishing, we ordered a couple of takeout items for a family member. The server kindly offered to package our leftovers with the takeout, which was appreciated. However, when the bill arrived, 1 of the takeout dishes was missing. It took a while to get her attention, and when we did, she reprinted the check without explaining how much longer the forgotten item would take. She did swing back to say she'd ask the chef to expedite, but we still waited quite a while, making us late for a meeting. As for the takeout, the Valentine Roll was just ok, similar to the signature roll we had at lunch. We also ordered a tuna roll, yellowtail roll, and sweet potato roll. None were bad, but they lacked the flavor we expected. Whether it was the rice or the ingredients, they just didn't stand out. Overall, it was a nice lunch. The beautiful restaurant, fresh sashimi, generous salad, and excellent appetizer showed a lot of promise. Unfortunately, too many of the rolls relied on fillers instead of fish, the soba missed the mark, and there were a few service missteps. They're very close--just a handful of small, doable improvements could elevate the experience from okay to outstanding. I hope they do.
