Astonishing to say the least. Nice convenient store that sells a bunch of snacks and drinks of all kinds. There is a deli mart which I will be reviewing today. Service was okay. There were a married couple who owned the place I believe who were friendly and nice to customers based on what I saw. The guy, probably thought I was a weirdo because I was browsing the store for a while without buying anything. The woman at the deli took my order. I ordered 2 sandwiches that looked interesting from the pictures and so I decided to order the mama and the Tony sandwich. Honestly, it was alright. It needed more flavor, but at least the food was decent. Deli meats not my thing. Maybe I should have gotten a burger instead. Otherwise, wait time to receive food was short, maybe 10 minutes or less. I ordered an essential water while I was at it. I signed up for some rewards program there after ordering. Drinks abundant but overall, I thought the food itself was alright. Service was better than the food. Quantity was massive though and price was sort of higher than I thought it would be given the value of the food. For $40 for two sandwiches, I wish I got chips with it or some other side like a fruit plate or salad would be complementary for brownie points. The sandwiches however, better than jersey mikes and probably healthier too. Subway is worse than both, I still believe the sandwiches at the deli in Greenberg is impossible to beat in Vegas. So yeah, this place is not on Greenberg level at New York New York in Vegas. The ambiance near the beach is spectacular, weather and no crime is absolutely stunning features. Open late with good times everyday is a bonus point. The Japanese place next door is really good too.

Came here on a whim and this sandwich did not disappoint! I was a little skeptical at first since it came out to be around $16 for one sandwich.. but it's completely worth it!!! The sandwich itself tasted so fresh and delicious, and the portion size was huge. This shop is located inside a convenience with plenty of drink options. The entrance is on the corner of the main building it's connected to. The people inside were very friendly and I got my food fast since I placed an online order.10/10 will definitely be coming back here!

Incredible sandwich located in a market on the harbor. I was doing a photo shoot and stopped in to get a bite. I got the turkey and cheese sandwich, it was incredible and the Macsalad which was unlike any other macsalad I've tried it had a different type of seasoning that was so great. They were fast friendly and delicious with lots of clean spots indoor and out to eat.

Went in after work to try their hot dogs, they brought us the food to our seats and were super friendly. The food was delicious and I definitely plan to come back

Nima's special. Roast beef and turkey, American cheese, lettuce, and baby spinach with tomatoes ! I can't believe I have lived in Port Hueneme for over 24 years and didn't know this gem existed until today! Sandwiches wonderful can't compare them to Toppers Pizza Place . Come by have a sandwich oh , They have a nice selection of wine buy 3 bottles and get 10 % off !

They have food here that you can buy at a grocery store which incluides milk, cheese, vegetables, hot dogs, bacon, etc. I come here for liquor as they have a lot of options. The good liquor options are behind the counter. They also sell sandwhiches and burgers here until 6:30pm as of October 2024 so keep that in mind if the time changes for this. The store remains open until 9pm though.

I have been hearing about this place for a while so I finally took the plunge on my cheat day. The staff was incredibly nice and helped navigate the menu; recommendations and their favorites. I opted for the pastrami on white and a side of mac salad. I wanted to add mushrooms but when I found out it was $4.50 extra, I decided to skip that (pretty steep considering a carton of mushrooms at Vons is $2.50). While I waited for my food, I checked out the mart a little bit. It's very clean, organized and welcoming; smiling faces all around. I learned that they have a Ventura location which is literally right by my house that I didn't know about. They had a lot of to-go orders going out but mannnn were they on it. My order took all of about 8 minutes. Decided to eat in my car facing the harbor. I was bummed that I forgot to ask for napkins and peppers... but they were in the sandwich bag! Bonus points!!! Let me tell you, this sammy was SMOKIN' HOT. Not warm. HOT. I love my food HOT! The flavor was fantastic! Perfectly seasoned and cooked pastrami; pickle, mustard, lettuce, secret sauce... unreal. I really loved the bread, too! It reminded me of the Italian rolls my mom used to serve sandwiches on (the perfect fluff)! Since it was my first time, I wasn't sure what to expect but I think next time I'll go lighter on the sauce and add extra meat. But no joke, it was a killer sando. The mac salad was good but on the sweeter side so just be aware of that. Loved the addition of celery and scallions for that nice crunch. The seating area is cute and clean; quiet. Go around the corner and you can watch the boats at the harbor (such a fantastic view). If you want amazing sandos, great service and views... this is your spot. I highly recommend giving this place a try!

This is a great lunch spot near the Navy Base. Their service is very friendly and quick. My sandwich was made quickly after I ordered. The restaurant is located in a convenient store. They offer indoor and outdoor seating. My coworker and I opted inside seating because it was warmer inside. The pastrami sandwich was delicious! I liked how the cheese and toppings complimented the pastrami, but I didn't like how chewy the white bread was. I will return to try their deli or cold cut sandwiches.

Yum hamburger tasty but they didn't have fries ! Definitely go back, place is clean and is in a liquor store but has sitting in back! So they had tall cans of VMC Paloma. If you know, you know! I can't wait to go back to have sandwich or gyro! They have it all the snacks or beach and more! Cool spot!

A must go to if you're vacationing out here. We kayaked (total of 5 kayaks - 3 doubles) from our rental property and docked in their public docking area. Bought 6 sandwiches (2 heart attacks, 1 Pastrami, 1 Roast Beef, and 2 Gyros - has it all cut in half). Ate it on the pier area, as we were recommended to eat while it's fresh. Devoured every last bite and craved more. Went back in to order 8 more sandwiches (5 heart attacks, 2 pastrami, and 1 gyros). It's just that dang freakin good. I think the price is moderate at around $8 a sandwich and the portion size is great. Their homemade sauce/spread is delicious and their staff is AMAZING! Definitely a must try. :) read more

Wow...I was really surprised by this place and wish I had more time to spend here. I came in really quick to get some items for the beach but they have tons of stuff and as I was walking by some I saw the prices were really good. When I went to pay for the stuff there were SUPER nice people who checked out the items. I tried the Heart Attack Burger a few weeks ago and let me tell you it's one of best I ever tasted! It's loaded with well seasoned prime cut meats garden fresh toppings on a nice soft tasty bun. If you want a pure food bliss experience, the Heart Attack Burger will not dissapoint!! read more

Stoped by the store for my favorite pastrami sandwich today, but for some reason I decided to get a frozen yogurt as well. At first I found this store is pretty unique because majority of convenient store does not serve frozen yogurt, and this place serve legit yogurt. It is a gem for me to enjoy a juicy pastrami sandwich and legit frozen yogurt by the harbor. I wish this hidden gem store earn more awareness. read more

I just had the best local sandwich in a long time. I was so happy they cut it in half since it was enough for my lunch and the other half for dinner. The quality ingredients and care put into the construction, you can tell they care about how their food is made and the customers. The variety of food and drinks is excellent. Even a place to sit down and eat with your family. I will be back to try the burgers, sandwiches, and other food items for sure. I decided to sample the fresh-made chicken kabob (both in pita sandwich form and over aromatic basmati rice), lentil-potato soup, stuffed grape leaves and tzatziki, all made in-house. Everything was delicious, as other reviewers have noted, and I can only highly recommend. The kabob is marinated and then cooked to perfection on the grill with onions and bell pepper and served with spinach, tomato and hot peperoncini. You can request tzatziki instead of ranch dressing if you like. The lentil soup is vegetarian, light, and absolutely delicious. The flavorful grape leaves are available in packs of six. And the people who run the deli area are as friendly and helpful as one could wish. read more

Love this place! Has everything you need as convenience store-great quality products and HUGE alcohol selection!! Owners are extremely friendly. To be honest I was very disappointed in the burger that we ordered. Especially for the price ($12). In my opinion if you pay that much you would expect a juicy, fresh, thick burger. Although the bun and the toppings were good, the burger was very thin and lacked any flavor. Would definitely not order this again. I must say though the people that run the store are very friendly and looks like they have a really good selection of wine and beer. read more

Decided to grab sandwiches here to take with us for our afternoon on the beach. We ended up getting the pastrami and roast beef sandwiches to split between 3 people which were both really good! The sandwiches were freshly made and the employees even sliced them into thirds for us when we mentioned we were going to split them. We figured we'd pop in to check out the alcohol selection before ordering our sandwiches and were pleasantly surprised by the assortment. It included all sorts of mixes, canned cocktails, wines and liquor. They also had a section with towels, clothes and other beach essentials. It's really a one stop shop for anything you might need for your beach day. They allowed us to ring up both our sandwiches and other purchases at the sandwich counter which we appreciated, and they even brought our order out to our car once it was done. Harbor Mart seems to be a local favorite. We saw several groups of people who seemed to be hitting up the store on their lunch break, which is always a good sign. Overall, we were glad we went out on a limb and decided to patronize this local business! read more

This place is great to grab a meal and pick up a few supplies before a bike ride or sail. I had a gyro and fresh made lentle soup. The gyro is made once you order it. The seasoning is good and she doesn't over power it with a yoghurt sauce. read more

Gyros!!! They make the best lamb gyros I've had since I pulled liberty in Athens. I always have lamb gyros with everything (and a bit extra tahini), but my friends find all of their sandwiches most excellent. They also have a vast selection - vast for a convenience mart - of wine and beer and every variety of snack you might imagine. The masked staff is friendly, fast and efficient and they'll deliver your food orders to you outside so you don't have to share the air for very long. They've got a couple of picnic tables outside, but hot sandwiches are packaged so well that they stay warm until I get home -- about five miles away. Can you tell I'm going back tomorrow? That'll be the third time this week. read more

In their defense they are an awesome family who owns this place and maybe today was a bad example however I about threw up after eating this sucker. The meat was bad and the lettuce, well that speaks for itself. Hopefully they stay on top of their expiration dates in the future. read more

Harbor Mart and it's staff are the gem of Channel Islands Harbor / Hollywood Beach community. Not only are they the kindest staff, but they put their all into everything in their shop while risking their own health during these crazy Covid times. They always keep the best inventory always bringing in new local beers and such, they have the freshest yummiest deli items, awesome unique gifts created by the owner, and awesome pricing. They're not in this to become millionaires with overpriced goods, they're here to be a part of and keep providing to this amazing little nook some of us are lucky enough to call home. Looks like a convenience store from the outside and it is, there's a Deli / Restaurant tucked away inside with surprisingly delicious food and a great menu. Three of us ordered the gyro, cheeseburger, and chicken wrap. All of us had big smiles on our faces afterwards. GREAT affordable food here! It's the perfect spot for a day out with the family since it's right on the harbor. If you're wondering they also sell liquor and beer and will soon have indoor dining where you can have a drink (but for now you'll have to drink the alcohol somewhere else) read more

Visiting town for a few weeks stumbled upon this awesome place by my hotel , really great fresh tuna and Swiss on super fresh tasting roll .... prices at this place you would never find in my hometown so cheap , the burgers looked great . They had yummy beers on tap plus cheap and excellent beer selection in the fridge for buying . Lady behind deli counter was very sweet as well . Big thumbs up. I will be back read more

We've been here several times, but never realized that there was a deli attached to the market. We ordered a pastrami bacon avocado sandwich to share. It was plenty for two people, and tasted amazing. Incredibly friendly service as well. We're still full, but already looking forward to the next time we visit! read more

Super cool place located on the harbor. Great sandwiches, we had the pastrami, and turkey. Cheeseburger was excellent also. Maker sure you get their special dressing on your sandwich/burger. Grab a twelver and a sandwich next time your in town. Family owned also!!! read more

Visit this gem! We lived in SoCal for years but are now tourists and visit the area about 3 times a year. We were looking for a sandwich place close to our hotel and stumbled across this establishment. Such a great shop! The people were welcoming and happy to take our order. The food was amazing! We shopped while they made our food and discovered decent prices on booze and some things we needed at the hotel. We will absolutely be back! read more

The Strandwich

Strandwich has some of the BEST plates and sandwiches. Everything I've had there over the years has…read morebeen great. The Hawaiian plate with brisket is unbelievably good and comes with generous portions. I'd honestly recommend everything I've had here; the service is always good with a laid-back atmosphere. My one qualm is that once they forgot a fork for the Hawaiian plate, I had to eat it with my hands on the beach, still good enough to get a 5-star though any day.

A bit crazy for a totally average burger and some fries in my mind. They didn't even remember to give us any ketchup and we had to go up to the truck and ask for them. The fries were good though and pleasantly crispy. Fish and Chips 2/10: This one had potential but it fell short! At first bite, the batter was pleasantly crispy and the fish was super soft and tender. But, not five minutes later, the bottom of the fish was soggy! The batter was also a bit bitter. (we suspect maybe the beer batter?) If the batter was less bitter and a bit more crispy, we'd give this a much better score. The service at this little spot was honestly not too good. We had to keep asking for things and they didn't even have utensils or napkins readily available. Furthermore, we asked for an extra tar tar sauce (we had three people and they gave us a half filled container of sauce). The person behind the counter said that they were running low on sauce and weren't giving out any more! Seeing as though the original cup of sauce wasn't even filled all the way, it was a bit disappointing. Overall, I don't think i'll come back. Even though the area is super cute and comfortable, the disappointing food and service is reason enough to find a different lunch spot.

Small amount of smashed Avocado; not enough to cover the bread topped with less than fresh pico da gallo, arugula a balsamic drizzle and 3 slices of tomato that were marinated in Italian dressing. All things I like but the combination was not good. BLTA used the same disappointing bread, flaccid under cooked bacon a tiny amount of pesto aioli and more avocado then there was on the avocado toast. Kids mini pancakes were good but chocolate chips are $1 up charge. I will say yesterday's eggs Benedict was good- hollandaise is excellent. Breakfast potatoes were a bit undercooked. Bloody Mary was a bit weak in my opinion. After all of that- I got a look at the receipt and there is a 2% BOH RevShare added to the bill. My best guess is this is fee to help pay the kitchen- To be honest we went here because it was a short walk from the Hilton. After the poor service, bad quality and hidden fees- we would be better off eating on the resort.

It also came with thick cuts of bacon. Definitely recommend this. For the tartare, it was also delicious and fresh. It was mixed with avocado and turnip. We thought the turnip would be off putting but it actually meshed well with the flavors. Came with fried wonton chips. For the main course we shared the NY strip and Lobster Malfaldine. The steak was cooked to perfection with a very nice sear and flavored well. Probably one of the better steaks I've ever had. Definitely beats out any steakhouse steak. The Lobster Malfaldine was also absolutely delicious. Most of the time, lobster pasta is usually a bit bland and lacking in lobster. NOT HERE. They included big chunks of lobster and the sauce was so good. Lastly, we ended our dinner with the Strawberry Hand Pie. This is basically a warm strawberry strudel with vanilla bean ice cream. They used locally sourced strawberries and I'm still thinking about it as I'm writing this review. Adrienne was our server and she was very nice and attentive. Since it was my girlfriend's birthday, they comped our dessert. Super nice staff!

On this visit, there were only about six people in the entire restaurant, including my friend and me. I ordered a basic classic breakfast. The food was decent--nothing particularly memorable, but certainly not bad. Our server, Joanna, was excellent. She was friendly, professional, and attentive. I spoke with her asking what happened and learned more about the changes that took place after the business was taken over in 2023. Overall, I have to say this visit was a bit disappointing. It feels like what was once a popular local gathering place has become just another regular breakfast joint. I really hope the new owners can turn things around because it would be a shame to see a longtime Port Hueneme establishment disappear. I'm giving it 4 stars, although honestly, it's probably closer to 3 1/2. I hope I'm wrong, but based on how quiet it was during a time when this place used to be packed, I'm not sure how much longer it will be around

A large white board was the menu. Lots of options to pick from. However with the variety we ordered the food was just ok with the grilled snapper and fries being the stand outs. The fried fish seemed a bit too oily, the tempura batter too thick on the vegetables and the clam chowder needed more flavor. Given the years in business, I was hoping for more from the food.

"Exceptional pastrami experience! This restaurant knows how to do pastrami right - the meat was perfectly seasoned, tender, and juicy, with a delicious smoky flavor that left me craving more. Every bite was a true delight! The sandwiches were piled high with generous portions of pastrami, and the rye bread was fresh and flavorful. The peppers on the side were a nice touch and added a tangy crunch to each bite. The ambiance of the restaurant was cozy and inviting, and the staff were friendly and attentive.
