Management needs to better balance takeout volume with the experience of guests sitting in the restaurant. When you're cranking out food that's not representing you well, it's time to step back and rethink what you're doing.

We had to keep asking for things and they didn't even have utensils or napkins readily available. Furthermore, we asked for an extra tar tar sauce (we had three people and they gave us a half filled container of sauce). The person behind the counter said that they were running low on sauce and weren't giving out any more! Seeing as though the original cup of sauce wasn't even filled all the way, it was a bit disappointing. Overall, I don't think i'll come back. I had the Caprese, my husband had the turkey baguette, and both were fresh, flavorful, and substantial enough to fuel actual adventure instead of just delaying hunger by 20 minutes. Each lunch box also came with chips, Fuji water, and a chocolate chip cookie that quietly stole the show. As for the drinks, I can only speak to their espresso and basic coffee, but in that area, they do not disappoint. While I don't think the roast is quite as good as Beacon, it is a very strong second in the area. Whenever I'm in Oxnard, I don't hesitate to stop by Dolce Vita for a great caffeinated drink.
