While prices here are not rock bottom, that is not their goal. They do not seek to be the lowest price ... like big box stores ... but rather they want to be the full service option. For example, you need screens re-screened ... they'll do it. Liked this store a lot. Greeted when we came in, and loads of service people there to help you. But walk through that door and its like the Tardis from Dr. Who. The store really opens up into multiple rooms each with their own treasures to be found. Then out back there is a garde. And green house. They have chili pepper plants the likes of which I don't think I will ever see again! I swear the jalapeno plant was nearly as tall as me. And that is not an exaggeration. It was massive. Like a spicy tree. It was seriously impressive. Anyhow, there was also a "volunteer" plant just outside the back door that had tiny red peppers on it. Nobody seemed to know the variety but said they were too too hot. Maybe Tobasco peppers they thought. I started talking to them about my own home garden and how I struggle with tomato and pepper blossoms not sticking around long enough to produce fruit. They told me about something called "Blossom Set." I would have bought some there but it was greater than 3 ounces and I had to fly home. What I did buy was a bottle of scuppernong juice. Funny name for a native grape with a delicious flavor. A little more tart than standard grapes. I had been wanting to try scuppernongs and that did the trick. My only regret here is that I don't live anywhere near Renfrow's and could not biy as much I really wanted to. If I was a local, this would likely me a regular stop on my weekend errands.

A few weeks back, I visited Potts Hardware for the first time to find a "ring spreader." I didn't know what it was either but I purchased one at one of the big box stores, came home to spread the rings on my truck and the tool broke. Literally broke in two. Went online to see if I could get one on the website that is named after the Brazilian rain forest and they only had the bad kind as well. I decided to try Potts to see if they had what I needed. It's a REAL hardware store so tools, fertilizer, seed, nuts, bolts, and more. They had exactly what I needed at a great price! Earlier this week, I stopped back in to Potts to get a few keys made. Most places are relying on machines to cut keys and the machines don't always get it right. The guys at Potts custom cut two keys that worked perfectly! They've earned my business - period. So the next time you're standing in the big box wondering if someone can help your version of a "ring spreader", check out Potts.

I ended up not liking the flooring I had anticipated coming in to buy and then the second option I wanted wasn't in stock so it took a while to pick something I liked that would also fit our lifestyle (aka scratch resistant, waterproof, less slippery, not too dark, no grey hues, not too light!). He was patient and very sweet with my dogs. My contractor wasn't responding regarding a time to schedule delivery so I planned to call and order over the phone the next day however the Home Depot system wouldn't allow me to when I tried. If it wasn't for Nathan, I would have ordered online at this point but I gave up $115 in Capital One rewards so that I could go BACK to the store later in the week to order in person and give my $2800 business to the actual location since he had been so helpful. So, shoutout to Nathan! Thank you for your help and patience and lovin on my drooly babies!!!

I've had nothing but difficulty with Home Depot ever since. So far, I have had to purchase two different kinds of paint because the lady at the paint counter sold me the wrong type of paint for my bathroom ceiling. She assured me it was the right kind but, it was not. It is not returnable. I am out $45 for that unusable paint. I had to return a side splash for my vanity last night (Not Home Depot's fault) and the two people at customer service acted as if I was an inconvenience and interrupting their conversation. I also asked for information on where I could locate a certain item in the store and his response was, "I guess it's on aisle two." It was not on aisle two. I roamed that store looking for what I needed and never saw a single person to ask for help. I have been nothing but disappointed with Home Depot. Once I make my final payment on my expensive bathroom vanity, I will be closing my Home Depot credit card and exclusively shopping at Lowes.

For the window I had ordered the lightest clearest low-e glass available, I got the dark type of glass that's recommended for Fla, Nm, Az etc. " That's what you ordered" was the response again. They don't even bother to ask what was shipped or what you ordered, they don't want to know because CYA is the order of the day.
