We moved into our new home excited about the quartz countertops and bathroom sink they installed. That excitement quickly turned to frustration when we discovered glue left on the quartz and etching on the bathroom sink. These defects were not visible during the builder's "quality inspection" -- only after we actually moved in, cleaned the surfaces ourselves, and saw them under normal daily use. When we raised these issues, Metro Stone and Granite's response was to shrug it off and blame us, insisting we should have caught it before moving in. To make matters worse, they sent out a technician who didn't even know the difference between granite and quartz, and proceeded to lecture us about how Windex can etch granite -- which is irrelevant, because we don't even have granite. This company does not take accountability, delivers subpar work, and treats customers like they're the problem. Save yourself the headache and go elsewhere. Metro Stone and Granite is unprofessional, careless, and completely unworthy of your trust.

They offered coffee, tea and water and before we entered the area to view the granite they asked us to put on a safety vest. The staff member explained the layout of the warehouse and how to fill out the form with any items interested in. They also had a shelf with samples you could request. This was an enjoyable experience and the selections of granite and quartz were beautiful.

The purchase process could have been smoother but I'm very forgiving here. Six feet of "social distancing" doesn't work well when you have a bunch of folks who want something that's in short supply. They did as well as they could under the circumstances and everyone who was there at the store when it opened got their purchase, though maybe not in the order they had originally queued up. That's a minor ding. And speaking of minor ding, this is "scratch and dent." My chest freezer was clearly used but it's operational, guaranteed for 90 days and I'm sure some "goo gone" will get rid of the marks on it. The folks did not want to be dealing with the public today. Definitely not a bunch of people who were about a minute away from an actual riot. But they did pretty well keeping things as organized as they could and selling what people wanted to buy They loaded it into my vehicle for me, which was awesome service. I told the salesman that we wanted to order cedar siding to install on this trip. I made it clear that we were coming from out of town and would only have two weeks to install the siding. He told me several times that he recommends fiber cement siding. I told him I was doing the job with my wife and the weight and breakage worried me, that we would stick to cedar. He asked me what we had on the house, I told him cedar. He said he would go by our house and look at what we had and get back to me. I had just told him cedar and he thinks I'm not smart enough to know what we have. I sent him our sq ft requiements and size of cedar siding I wanted and told him when we would be there and I needed the siding then. So I figured he had ordered our siding. I text him a week before we arrived to make sure the siding would be there. He had no clue as to who I was. I had to remind him of our conversation and then it was "oh yeah, now I remember". I asked about the siding. He said he would really recommend the fiber cement. I asked if he had ordered our siding. He text that he was going on vacation, I needed to call John, (not real name). I called several times, no answer. Text, no response. I tried to contact both of these guys multiple times, got nowhere. We already had our plane tickets, sheltered our dog, took two weeks off from work, rented a car and made plans with family, friends and grand daughters, etc. So we are into this trip for about $2000.00 before we get there to install siding. Got to the building center and our siding was not there but they could order it. Luckily, Home Depot had cedar siding in stock so it wasn't a wasted trip. I don't think I will ever do business with these clowns. They wouldn't listen to what I wanted. They didn't order our materials. They didn't care about what we wanted. Sounds to me like they are on commission so the more they sell you, the more they make.
