While prices here are not rock bottom, that is not their goal. They do not seek to be the lowest price ... like big box stores ... but rather they want to be the full service option. For example, you need screens re-screened ... they'll do it. Liked this store a lot. Greeted when we came in, and loads of service people there to help you. Actually there is one in this small, beautiful town! It's a testament to the local home folks for supporting their hometown businesses! I went in there looking for some cloth hand towels. The very kind and helpful lady in charge told me they didn't have any. That was a bit of a surprise to me because they seemed to have an abundance of everything! Not only hardware but also a huge selection of yard art and other display pieces. Like I said; this place is most definitely a throwback in time and its unusual! Even though they didn't have what I needed ; I loved the experience! Any person my age who remembers the way things were in the past should visit not only this place but the entire Main Street of Rutherfordton, N.C. ! It's a thriving small town with much to offer.

I deducted one star for this reason. Still, this is a very good home and garden supply store!
