My mower was returned to me 2 weeks late and I still am giving them a great review. i found out the owner had been very sick and the business fell behind in their work. A relative came in to help. they responded to texts and phone messages. they charged me about a 1/3 of the actual cost due to late service and phone contact misses between the business and myself. i am sending him a second check to hopefully pay him about what he is due for his time and parts. I was sold a lawnmower that never worked. After paying full price of $450 I still had to pay someone to cut my grass for a month an additional $150. The owner ignored my calls and messages even after he assured me he'd come to my home and fix it. After multiple attempts of having my friend get in contact with him he finally shows up with an attitude and refusing to speak to me when I ask what he thought was wrong with it. I never once yelled at the owner or treated him with any disrespect but i I honestly believe he doesn't like to do business with women as my friend who is a male was able to get in touch with him. If you are a woman beware. And just in general I would not do business with Small Engine Service. I'm still without a lawnmower and he has my $450 as well as my previous lawnmower I brought to him to fix. read more

Dropped my trimmer off in June, never received it back. After contacting the BBB, I was offered a used trimmer or a $150 gift card/ zelle payment. This never happened either. He completely ghosted, ignoring multiple calls and texts, and only responds when forced by the BBB. I'd be happy to remove my negative review if he followed through and actually sent me something for losing my pricey Husqvarna trimmer. I even drove 60 minutes round trip just to drop it off, only for to be ignored as if it never happened. This type of business behavior is unbelievable and totally unacceptable. How do you just lose a piece of equipment when you live out in the country and then completely ignore your client? Unreal. read more

We have a Husqvarna that was running funny and just needed an all around check up. They mower was picked promptly and serviced very efficiently. Everything that was serviced and/or replaced was explain to us and I couldn't be happier with the experience. The pick up and delivery was key for us to get the service done on the lawn mower and the price was significantly less then I had been quoted though other companies. I do not recommend this company. We dropped off a weed eater for repair. He said we'd hear from him in a few days. Then he stopped communicating with us. We had to purchase a new weed eater. We filed a complaint with the better business bureau. They reached out to him. He then reached out to us to let us know he doesn't know where our weed eater was and we can have a used one or $150 GC. The one he was repairing was a Husqvarna, a more expensive weed eater than the replacement we bought. We opted for the GC and then nothing. No response. We messaged again asking if he sent it and he asked if we take zelle. My husband sent a zelle request and now back to no communication. I do not recommend. This is not professional or how you treat a customer. It was our property, not his to do as he wished. We have been very kind and patient, nonthreating, but this has been going on since 6/24. It is now 3 months later and no resolution. I will update my review if he does the right thing and sends the GC or gives us our personal property back.
