Northern Tools is not always the "helpiest" place to shop so figure out what you need and how much you can afford to spend, make the trip to NT&E and you should be able to make it work. Over the years, I 've bought several items from them. Never bought anything at the hardware side but looks like they have a good selection of tools in case you need something. Deli looks great but have not sampled their offering. Over the years, I have bought gas probably a dozen times and always competitive with gas stations in more developed areas. They do the community they serve great service. Don't have to drive to Hickory, Lincolnton, Mooresville or Denver to get your provisions.

Paul was particularly into a form of Primative American or Victorian Art called Samples and they had several of them. We moved to a new home in July and my wife fell in love with a slab wood bench one of the neighbors has on their front porch. Turns out that one was bought by her Daughter when they lived in Colorado so not local. Struck out. One of the managers said " hold on" and ran outside but returned a few minutes later and explained they had had a slab wood bench but it apparently had been sold. She gave me some good tips where to look also for such an item. Every looked at the walls in a Cracker Barrel and wondered where they found all this stuff. Turn out it's in places like this. There was so much that I wanted to buy but we are still unpacking boxes from the move and I knew my wife would kill me if I brought anything else home till we found a home for the other items we have in storage. If you're in Statesville, it's worth a trip just to browse around. Unfortunately it's less than a mile from where I work and before I retire, I'm sure I will be back and will probably buy more than one item.
