So for some reason when I sent in an order for shipment, the shipment was coming from out of the Troutman location and not anywhere close to me. Then my shipment was delayed with no other reason or explanation as to when i may receive it so I called my local Lowes who told me to reach out to the store in Troutman which was where my shipment supposedly was but they gave me a phone number so I called to clear up the confusion. When I got to speak with the associate named Sandra she showed so much concern for my package and went above and beyond to not only find what happened to the shipment but was alerted where my product was and made sure to get my containers expedited. She even made a point to personally call me back and tell me that that my packages were on the way and that I would receive an email and probably receive them the next day! 'm only giving 4 stars for Lowe's for not sending automated details of where my purchases were but Sandra deserves all 5s. Thank you Sandra. Needed to pick up a lock for work on the way home and this one is right off of I-77 at Exit 42. Easy in and out so good access. One of the newer stores with one of the larger store footprints in the chain. Well stocked with a good selection. Could not find what I wanted immediately but store personnel helped me to find what I needed. Checkout is another matter. Only two registers open and they were in Customer Service which is not set up for regular checkouts. One was tied up with a guy who was probably buying 20 or 30 items so forget that one. Other register only had one patron with just a few items but cashier could not figure out the transactions. Went through the self checkout which is what I should have done in the first. Other than the poor service at checkout, not a bad store. read more

Horrible delivery experience. Uncaring management at the Troutman store and no help from corporate. We had a refrigerator delivered on March 28 in which our house sustained a little over $1,900.00 in damage. It is now mid July and our new construction house is still not fixed. No resolution. It is a circus. No one seems to care. I just want my house fixed. The day of arrival we received a call from a person that identified himself as a "Lowe's" delivery person. They were running early. They arrived in a truck with the Lowe's logo on it. The men came in and wanted to see where the refrigerator would be going. Then, the men began to bring the refrigerator in. At the front door, the men ran into trouble and caused damage around the door frame and to parts of the door. They decided to take the front door off the hinges. Again,the refrigerator scraped and caused damage to the door. Once inside they proceeded to the kitchen. In the kitchen, the men began to move the refrigerator into an area that was very tight at best. My husband mentioned to the men that they needed to take the doors (to the refrigerator) off. Instead, after already causing damage to the facing around the pantry door, the wall and the pantry door they took the pantry door off. This was useless. They squeezed it through causing damage to more things such as the granite countertop on the island. The men never took my husband's advice to take the doors off the refrigerator. I came downstairs and was in horror at the damage that these men caused by bringing in a new refrigerator into a new construction home. I said very sternly, "what happened to my house." The reply was, "call Lowe's they will give you some money." He was waving his arm as no big deal, just call and get some money. I replied very sternly, "I don't want money! I want my house fixed!" Neither of the men apologized for the damage. I so badly want my house fixed. When they left I began the tedious process of attempting to seek a resolution. I called Lowe's and filed a claim. I thought this was filed with Lowe's. I had know idea this was going to UST and that 98 Ventures would be handling the claim for them. Otherwise my interactions with the management of the Troutman Lowe's store have been very disappointing. They seemed to be bothered by me, rather than being willing to help me. The general manager seemed annoyed and as if he was reading from a written script when he spoke with me. I have to say there is one outstanding employee at the Lowe's store in Troutman. Her name is Tracey Garner. She just happened to see a note to her assistant manager, Josh, with my name and number. Josh had left for the day and she called me to make sure I had received a call from him. Tracey is a true asset to Lowe's and deserves recognition. She has gone above and beyond to try to assist me and has followed through on everything she said she would do. I had asked Josh, assistant manager, to take back the refrigerator due to the totality of the whole situation. Over a week later this somehow was dumped on Tracey, but Tracey handled it like a champ. She made sure the same people did not come to pick it up as brought it, We were not told that UST first has the delivery team reach out and attempt to settle the claim. When I received a text message from the driver it came across as a buy off. I was scared to death. I called and texted my husband numerous times within a few minutes. Finally, I was able to reach him. My husband advised me to respond,"do not contact me again." This way we could take out a restraining order or trespass them if they came to the house. My husband nor I were aware of the claims process instituted by UST and this being the first step. The general manager from the Troutman store conceded to me that this is part of the process and it is not known by most Lowe's employees including assistant managers. This was days later. I would not stay home alone for days because of this text. I even went to the store after I received the text and spoke with the assistant manager, James. Still waiting on a call back. Something that my husband and I found very interesting is the comment made by one of the gentlemen that came to pick up the refrigerator. He introduced himself and said that he and his partner have lots of experience. He then went on to tell us that they are one of 3 teams that get sent out when others mess up. He said that they had to do this frequently. Obviously, there are issues with this delivery company. UST had a third party claims company to reach out to us, 98 Ventures. My husband and I have provided them everything they have asked for. They first offered a settlement of $425.00. The company citing the offer was made based on pictures and the fair market cost. I immediately declined. The next day I received another offer to settle for $675.00. Again citing fair market cost. How could the fair market go read more

The store is ok but never ever buy an appliance from Lowes. They use US Transport out of Charlotte for delivery. These people are idiots that damaged my floors and a door (over 1,000 dollars) and Lowes corporate not only ignored me (never even called or emailed me back) but also ignored the store managers trying to help. Then the delivery service was a sham company offering me 150 dollars to get me to drop the whole thing. With customer service like this, you would be better off to go to Rogers appliance in Troutman NC. I got my new refrigerator delivered and installed without any damages to my home. Got red mud?? I do. It sucks. Well, that is what I originally thought. I was used to that fancy black dirt Miami possessed...then I got the Carolina Clay. Sounds like an STD. So I headed over to Lowes and I got some pretty cool advice. Don't try and fix it, join it!! The Lowes outside crew helped me pick out plants that love this acidic clay and all the jazz to help what I really wanted to plant, grow. THEY TOOK TIME WITH ME!! Pretty amazing huh? During Christmas they sell live trees. They cut the bottoms for you and wrap it up in that fancy dolphin safe tuna netting. (They even put it on the top of my truck for me...but SHUUUSSHHHHH! I don't think they are supposed to do that.) I just had a baby last year and those guys and gals were so incredibly helpful in loading my truck. Always great customer service. I don't like self- checkout but if there is a line an associate will usually open a register. I usually get asked several times if I need help (I must look lost) but at least they don't divert eye contact and hide. Items are usually in stock and there is easy access to the parking lot and store. read more

I just bought a washer from lowes. It was set up for delivery the following Sat. Saturday came, upon arrival, the washer was severely damaged. The drivers were nice, and apologized, said someone from the warehouse will call me and set me up tomorrow..i waited and waited. I finally called the location where I purchased it. The manager called the warehouse for information, said i would receive a call within 45 min. 2 hours later I called again. He could not get a hold of anyone but said he would keep trying. Finally received a call that night stating they'd deliver on monday..couldn't take off work so had no choice for Saturday again. That Monday I received text and phone call to deliver the washer. I had to take time out of work to deal with this. Called the number, sat schedule was never set up. I talked to supervisor. I was told I had to wait until the washer arrived before they could give me a discount for the trouble...then finally got the discount amount...which I do not feel compensated for all of this at all. I went to the store to get the cash...they had no idea what I was talking about!! I was going to purchase another appliance, but after my first...and last purchase with lowes, wasn't worth the hassle. The employees in the store were great. However, the warehouse employees and how they handle situations etc is unprofessional, rude, unorganized, the list goes on. I am one to give a second chance to a lot of things due to simple mistakes. Not gonna let this one go though. Associate in Flooring (Peggy), was unable to somehow put in the correct numbers, name and color of our carpet. Therefore, the wrong carpet showed up today at our home. As far as a big store this one is about as good as it gets in terms of the customer service. Not sure if it's because of the more rural location but the employees here are much more helpful than what I'm used to getting at the Mooresville store. They have the same selection as Mooresville....it's a little farther drive for me but this is my store of choice. read more

Lowe's is the main-stay of home improvement around here especially because their national HQ is located just down I-77 around Mooresville. With that in mind I can't imagine going anywhere else. Good customer service is expected and they do deliver on that. As Rebecca mentioned in an earlier review on here there is no end to the red clay that the Lake Norman area has to offer. She's right, it is like an STD around here because like it or not, it's staying! So to fend off, fight back or even work with that Lowe's has got you covered. I recently stopped in for some nice 99 cent 50 pound bags of top soil to cover my clay with so I could get started on an herb garden. Since this is the right season when the ground and weather are prime for the planting there's no end to the plants here. They've got flowers, herbs, veggies, decorative trees and shrubs you name it! And the garden area aside the home improvement options are endless. The selection for tools, hardware and DIY stuff here is so large that the prices here can easily contend with Wal-Mart. Speaking of Wal-Mart, have you ever met anybody there nearly as knowledgeable as somebody at Lowe's is about outdoors and home improvement? I think not! read more

This is by far the best Lowe's I have ever been in. My husband I and just bought our first house, and are in here so often we feel like this is our second home. We decided to buy all new appliances and found ourselves overwhelmed by all of the choices. Quac spent over an hour with us going over all of the options, while never making us feel pressured to buy anything. The store is very clean and spacious.
