It's one of the oldest stores in the Dollar General family is stores and it's long overdue for a remodel. It's dimly lit with just the windows in front for illumination which gives it dirty, cramped and damp feel. The artificial lights can only do so much. For us, we normally shop at the Dollar General in Iron Station off of NC Hwy 73 since we are in Lincolnton at least once a week. We have also shopped at the one in Denver up Business 16 North. In general, we only stop by when we are going to the Lowesville Cafe or Mike's Discount Growers. We only shop there maybe 4 or 5 times a year, normally to pick up wrapping paper, gift bags and things like Cleaning Supplies. We stopped by just before Christmas because the other Dollar General was out of the Christmas Boxes we were looking for. This one did have them. Still they had what we wanted. Staff is very small but they do try to be helpful.
