The items I consign sell quickly due to the great staging that Allison and the ladies do and Heather's judgement on what she accepts makes for some great finds. I am so lucky, it seems. I've been meaning to get to this store forever, and an open house out near this side of town…read moreprovided me with the opportunity. I went looking for some Christmas decorations and found a little of everything! The store is just beautiful. It's a farm sitting on a gorgeous piece of land on the edge of West Lincoln. When I parked I got out and just looked around for a bit, enjoying the scenery. The store has an outdoor area (the porches) filled with decor and two separate buildings. There is so much stuff, and yet it is all artfully arranged. I really wanted to be there and just take my time and look. I found lots of rustic Christmas items, a room spray that smells like a Christmas tree and a stash of old spice containers, some even from the early 1900's. The prices seemed very reasonable to me and I was surprised at how busy it was given its rather remote location. The staff was so helpful and even helped me find out a date on one spice bottle. If you are looking for a unique gift or some rustic decor, this place is really an awesome shop. I can't wait to go back!

When we got it set up the mattress was so lumpy she could not sleep on it. I called them on the following Tuesday and the manager told me they do not stand behind their product. I spoke with the manufacturer and they said this mattress was sold as a sample mattress 2years ago. The manager suggested my mother probably needed to purchase twin size mattress because she probably didn't weigh enough for the queen size to perf properly. So my mother is left with a $800.00 mattress she can no use. I'm just saying.

I noticed this shop next to Modern Fabrics and stopped in before they closed. As they noted on…read moretheir bio, they specialize in vintage furniture and home decor items from various eras and styles. Condition for the furniture is noted on the tags so you're aware of any wear and tear before you purchase. I saw a variety of pieces that were early, mid, and late 20th century. (Ex. Bar stools from the 50s, airline bags from PanAm, etc.) They arrange the furniture in a neat styling so you can have some inspiration for what the pieces could look like in your home. The gal working there the day I went was very friendly and said she would be happy to help if we had questions. We did browse on our own without assistance as we wanted to see what was there before the shop closed. Pricing was pretty fair - I saw a range with some pieces being a little on the lower end (like a trio of stools for $1000) and higher for other pieces. At the end of the day, it's a place to find a unique furniture item without buying something cheaply made that has character. There is a small lot for this shop in front. I had no issues finding a spot there when I went.

My granddaughters and I went to Mike D's Antiques and Estates in Gastonia on 321. The owners were extremely rude and racist. They followed us around the store, talking down to us. My granddaughter calmly told him that it was offensive and she did not appreciate it because she is Mexican. He said "I know", got defensive and continued to make racist comments. They then told us to leave and not come back. They are very nasty people. Would not recommend.
