I arrived today to pick up a couch I purchased last week. Shelly said there was no one to help me with it and suggested I come back later. I said I needed to pick it up now. She wordlessly put the hand trucks next to the couch and walked away. She made no effort to wrap/protect the furniture and acted thoroughly annoyed the entire time. There was never any indication I needed to make an appointment for a pickup. Will not be buying anything else from going twice. read more

Highly recommend Going Twice - great experience start to finish! My wife and I walked into Going Twice looking for sofa and loveseat for our living room. The staff greeted us right away, were super friendly, and never hovered - just the perfect balance. They explained that they could order upholstered furniture made by local North Carolina manufacturers in a variety of syles and fabrics. We spent a relaxed hour or so looking at floor models, picking out fabrics, and taking home some swatches. A day later (after measuring twice and holding swatches up to our walls a few times), we placed the order. The pieces were built and delivered on time and looked even better than we imagined - exactly what we wanted. Then, a few days after delivery, we noticed an awful creaking noise every time we sat on the loveseat. We called the store immediately. Initially they told us warranty issues go through the manufacturer, and honestly that's when things got frustrating. The manufacturer was painfully slow (borderline unresponsive) and weeks went by with almost no progress. That's when Susan at Going Twice stepped in and completely turned the situation around. Once we let the store know we were hitting dead-ended with the manufacturer, Susan took ownership. She stayed on top of them, pushed the claim through, and kept us updated the entire time. Yesterday the replacement loveseat arrived - it's gorgeous and (most importantly) 100% creak-free. Thank you, Susan, and the whole Going Twice team, for standing behind what you sell and taking such good care of your customers. You didn't have to go the extra mile, but you did, and we are so grateful. We'll absolutely be back for future furniture needs! read more

Love this place. They have a nice variety of furniture and other pieces, some are even brand new. Staff is friendly and helpful. When you buy something, they are good about wrapping it up for transport. They even let us borrow moving blanket for my truck, which I returned the next day! Good value. Great furniture store selling some used (but like new) furniture and some new furniture. Many fine expensive brand furniture pieces discounted. They also sell decorative items such as lamps, artwork, knickknacks. The showroom is beautiful and the staff very nice. Love going to this store and looking around. I do think their consigned furniture prices are a tad high sometimes but still less than if you bought it new. Their inventory changes all the time so different goodies to see every time you go. Short-sighted staff. I have made many purchases in this store over the years and today, went to the register with a decorative plate that cost about $5. Staff member told me that I couldn't use a debit card, and that the transaction had to be cash based on its low cost. Honestly, there can't be many items in the store in that price range so I can't imagine a store policy addressing something so minor. I know there are fees associated with credit cards but wasn't aware those same fees applied to debit cards. Even so, I rarely carry cash. Sad they wouldn't just eat that small fee (even if there is one) to keep a customer. I won't be back. read more

While using the rest room facility found Art Work hung up. Who knew that you can shop while going to the bathroom. Got 2 sets of tile art work pieces. Good bargains can be found at this facility. Very friendly staff. Found the store to be very organized. Coordination was great which makes it easier to visualize your needs, and or to set up a room for which ever the case my be. I've frequent this place many times and have never came out empty handed. I came in Sunday looking for items for my daughter and was blessed beyond my expectations. Two years ago my precocious one (13 year old Yokie ) chewed up my lamp shade. So, as I'm preparing to pay for my items I notice the very same lamp that I had been looking for. I searched the net ( Kirkland's) and couldn't find one and was told it had been discontinued. So, now I'm checking out and guess what I see my lamp only to be told it belongs to one of the workers who obvious like it just as well as I do. I'm caring on about this lamp - the employee comes up and another coworker tell her about my dilemma and guess what- she offer me the lamp. Now, if they aren't dedicated workers, working hard to provide total customer satisfaction. while I realize things my not always happen in your favor, it did for me on Sunday. So to the store manager my hats are off to Linda Cole and Erika, not sure of her last name, but awesome employees. You guys rock!!!!!!! I would recommend anyone to shop here. Furniture and more furniture. Nice quality and most looked new. Little pricey but graduated pricing based on how long the item has been in the store. Staff was attentive, polite and plentiful. Never consign items to this business. They don't take care of the property you leave with them. I left a 38x42 framed signed lithograph with them. They say in their contract "Going Twice will work to take exceptional care of the articles you consign with us"; however, that is not the case. Upon picking up my print, the bottom 2 corners of the frame were badly damaged. I left it in the store at that point and was told the manager would call me. The manager, Chris, didn't call, but sent an email. The damage can't be repaired and the frame will have to be replaced. Like a previous reviewer here, they offered no apology for this, blamed it on staff and customers handling the property (how do customers damage something hanging on the wall?), and just said it's my problem. The only way this was damaged was by staff moving it...probably shoving it onto a shelf in the store room which is where it was when I tried to retrieve it...not in the show room as it should have been because my consignment period was not up. Also, the item was never advertised properly as it was not put on their current inventory on their website...even after I requested it twice. They failed in their duties and have no integrity. I picked up the lithograph 3 days later. read more

Stopped in over the weekend (my 3rd time) they are WAY over priced and no selection, Hard to call it a consignment store since all of their product is actually new. Personally I like the consignment stores with a little more charter that have more unique items to offer. I have note been able to find anything here yet. read more
