This has to be my favorite local find in the last month or so. I had no idea there was a Harbor Freight here! I always found them in smaller towns or when passing through. Mind you, I don't have a need for major tools, welders, gas generators, and the like; but it is a great option for everyday odds and ends. For me, I like this for a new screwdriver, or wrench & socket set, and for miscellaneous/random household tools such as flashlights, duct tape, or even a can of WD-40. I can now check here. This visit I had to do an exchange from Christmas and thought I would see where the closest store was to Columbus and to my surprise there was one reasonably close. This location is tucked back off 161 so I just GPS'd myself over from Morse Road. The strip mall area it is in looks like it has seen better days, including the parking lot. The inside of the store is clean and well organized and having a local option really is exciting. I can't speak on the quality of everything but they have really good prices and sales. The light I received was a cheap plasic wall light. It was only a few bucks but I even changed the batteries out so it was not that. It was perfect for my closet (that had no light). The exhange was really easy and I ended up picking up some sale items that we in eye sight too. I am excited as I can add this to my local store list. In the past I have used the Circleville store (about 40-45 min) when I pass through the area but so excited to see this much closer location. I love this place! I have never been here before and have been building furniture recently. Everything here was so cheap and the people were SO nice. I went for one thing and left with 25 other things. It was amazing. Did I mention so cheap?! I felt like a kid in a candy store. Listen - those that come here expecting this to be the Von Muar of tool stores, seek that elsewhere. This store has affordable, and decent quality tools and supplies. There was one young lady on the floor stocking and doing pricing stuff that greeted me and asked if she could help me. The cashier has a tough job of answering the phones and ringing customers up, and sometimes those phone calls are ridiculous! I feel for the cashier. But he was professional and very polite. Overall - a good experience for my first trip to Harbor Freight! read more

Terrible customer service, especially from management. The prices are great, but you'll stand in line for 10-15 minutes before being able to check out, they won't help you find what you need, and don't even bother calling with questions because they'll just keep you on hold until you hang up. Go to a different location or order your tools online. Amazon has the same prices, but you won't be treated like crap in exchange for your money. read more

Harbor freight is what it is, and I am ok with that. I buy tools there from time to time. Low rating is for this particular store. Not only is "customer service" an unknown concept, but there are employees who actively disrespect customers. Emma, for example, has a knack for bad attitude. Simple requests like "could you please check to see if this item is in stock?" are made to be painfully​ rude interactions. "Did you check the shelf? Yeah? Well I'll call the back, but we don't have it..." (sighs, eye roll, finger tapping). Two employees appear with multiples of the item. Emma looks pissed. She gives another sigh and eye roll because a customer doesn't have an email address. She tells another customer his coupon is for the wrong product, but refused to give him a hint where to find the correct one. "I don't keep track of where everything is. Look over there." TBH, most of the employees are great, but they are tied up doing actual work while a few bad apples slow down the entire operation. Until they cut some dead weight though, this place is a disaster. read more

The deals you get here are fantastic. If you're starting a project and need to get tools, do yourself a favor and check out Harbor Freight first. I bought an oscillating multi-tool online from another (giant) retailer before checking this place out; what a mistake. While waiting on delivery, I checked out HF's online ad and saw a comparable product on sale for half the price. It was available in store, so I can start my project tonight. Needless to say, I'll be returning my online purchase as soon as it arrives. I do believe you get what you pay for, but I'm just a DIY home handyman so I don't need a tool that can take a pounding from repeated use. For instance, I was shopping for a 6 foot level and at the big box stores where they start at $30 and go up well above $100. At HF I was able to get one for $10.99. Sure, it's plastic, but it's perfect for my needs. You don't get the customer service as you would at the big retailers, but if you find someone available they are willing to help. read more

Harbor Frieght has some great, cheap tools! My only real reference here is that I got myself a $2 rubber hammer that is perfect for stakes and garden edges. I wouldn't think this is the place to go for lifetime tools, but if you have an odd job I would check this place out before the big names. read more

The place to go for amateur tools or tools that you don't use everyday. Stay away from the battery operated tools here; battery powered line is junk. Otherwise, great stuff at great prices. The supposed clearance and crazy liquidation claims are just silly as it's the same sale prices nearly all the time. similar to Kohls with all the supposed sale prices. For those that haven't been to Harbor Freight Tools...it is a store full of generic made in China tools...nearly every tool you could think of generic and priced accordingly. read more

We shop at Harbor Freight for cheap tools that my husband can beat up and then throw away. They have great deals and even have coupons for free items. I have had great experiences at other Harbor Freight stores but this place was different. As soon as my husband and I walked in the door, we could hear one of the employees complaining loudly that she was mad that she didn't get the day off for some reason or another. We got the stuff that we needed and headed to the register to check out. Three employees were standing next to the counter talking and the woman on the register that we were standing at looked at us and kept talking for another minute or so and then wandered over. It was the complaining woman from earlier. She didn't greet us and starting ringing up our items. We picked up a tarp from a clearance bin and it did not ring up right. My husband told her that the bin was marked a couple of dollars cheaper than it was ringing up and she said "Then you took it from the wrong bin." We hadn't. He asked her to take it off of the transaction. She rang up a couple of more items and then looked at my husband and said "Yours?" and held up an item we were purchasing. My husband said "I'm sorry?" because we both didn't know what she meant by that. She then said, "Yours? Is this yours? Yes? No? Yes? No?" and kept on saying 'yes' and 'no' until my husband had to interrupt and say, "Yes, I am purchasing that." I cannot stand it when people are blatantly rude to my husband because he is very polite and a genuinely nice person. After being rude through the whole time we were checking out, I guess she hit her foot on the counter or something because she was holding one of our bags but she suddenly threw it down on the counter and yelled something and walked away. It was a bad of items that we had just purchased and we had to make sure that she didn't break anything. I had been reaching for the bag right before she threw it down. After pacing for a minute, she walked back and said something like "stupid counter". She picked up our receipt and my husband put out his hand to take it from her but she didn't look up at my husband (she would have seen his hand) and just let the receipt go. He had to catch it as it was falling to the floor. I understand she hurt herself but I would never act that way in front of a customer or to a customer. We walked out without saying thank you because we really didn't have anything to thank her for. read more

They don't hire quality people, but the products are great. I've been shopping here for many years and can only think of several things I've purchased that didn't last. It's a great value every time with a free gift. Love HF! read more
