When I…read morecouldn't find them I went to a desk for help as I also needed to order $2700 worth of binding screws foe a commercial project. The lady who i found out later is the manager was down an isle where she seen me standing patiently for at least 5 minutes. As she came out to me another employee was walking up with another customer. Before she acknowledged them she greeted me with"has one of the guys helped you yet?" I clearly said no. Then the employee said something and without saying anything else she walked away to help him. My 5 minutes patiently meant nothing. I assumed the other employee may have helped me but he followed them. 2 people helping 1 customer when I was waiting patiently to spend almost $3000. Regardless I am shopping elsewhere for sure for now on. Oh by the way when I complained she said she thought I said no to her question which I did but she said her question was do you need any help? Clearly wasn't what she said. And I was standing there for 5 minutes or more facing behind the counter. Noone that doesn't need help stands there looking aimlessly at nothing.

The store was busy. All the workers were busy. But they all made sure to greet every customer & follow up with offers of help. The building's above 100 years old. It reminded me, while I was waiting, of the small town hardware shops my grandpa & I would hit when we needed supplies between roofing jobs. That was a great memory for me. Those background places in the past gather importance when folks are gone. Small shops navigate the big box waves through specialized products & good customer service. Huge quantities of pretty much anything you need. I prefer Lowe's, and occasionally Menard's, but sometimes this is handy. And it's good enough. Today we went for the kid's project, which they do monthly and I just found out about. Go early- before it starts- because they are very popular. Staff were not particularly helpful, but they were overwhelmed. Get your kit, go to the table (in the lumber section,) and get building. Baby K loved it. They built and painted a butterfly house. Plus you get to keep the apron, and get stickers, a pin, etc. A good hour or so for the kids, and they learn some basic skills. Three stars, both for the store for selection/service/prices, and for the kid's event, which wasn't all it could have been. But hey, it's free, and if you have kids, definitely go- they'll love it.

We were double billed then 6 more smaller charges and no explanation. We contacted Customer Care and they only saw the one charge and didn't seem interested in the possibility that they have been hacked. They said there was nothing more they could do. No concern about losing our business and a $1000 order. We also spoke with our credit card company who confirmed that there were bogus charges and promptly closed our card and reissued a new card. Very inconvenient during our major renovation. Lack of concern by Lowe's was very frustrating.
