My husband went in paid the bill and asked where it was--told over there-in pieces. He came back to the car to find a box; put the pieces in, dragged the rest of the cart to the front door--I jumped out of he car to open the door and helped him bring it to the car. We struggled but loaded it in--a rag was stuffed in it to sop up the gas. No one helped him and no one put the pieces they took off back together. Never been treated so disrespectfully at any store in Battle Creek. Not a store we would go back to sadly.

My husband called again June 20 -- no answer yet. Another time he called, he got the snotty woman again. After them having our rototiller for a YEAR, charging us $30 to put it in the corner of the repair shop and forget about it -- the repair person even said he thought was it was a junk unit when my husband called March 20, 2020. My husband called a total of 9 times. Urbandale returned 1 phone call. Most of the calls, he heard, "repairman is on lunch" or "repairman is gone for the day" or the famous line -- the part is on back order and will be in in 1 week. When my husband did talk with the repair person, it was supposed to be repaired in a week (again), but no one called; and when my husband finally did talk with the repair person, he said, "oh, didn't anyone tell you that unit is junk?" So whether the repair department is a separate business from the hardware store, both areas are unreliable and useless! Whether you talk to the repair person or a person working in the store, "1 week" seems to be the common excuse, but don't hold your breath waiting for a call! This is a very disappointing business!

However, during this visit, the employee at the U-Haul counter was extremely rude. I had completed the initial rental process online through my phone, and when I arrived, the mobile instructions told me to locate the truck using the assigned truck number. That truck number was nowhere to be found, so I went inside for help. When I showed the employee the number, she responded sharply, saying she could read it and that I did not need to hold the phone near her face. She also said the truck number had nothing to do with picking up the truck because I would need a key anyway. I tried to explain that the instructions specifically told me to locate the truck, but she interrupted me and dismissed the issue. Rather than argue, I left. After years of positive experiences at this location, I am extremely disappointed and will not be returning. I used to recommend this business to others, but this experience changed that impression.

My entire family stopped going there after yesterday's event. I don't trust them.
