This company allows employees to have money taken from their paychecks and endangers them to the point of almost death. TLDR - Management is too cowardly and will get someone injured or killed because they won't have an open conversation with troublesome employees, and theyd rather sweep everything under the rug and pretend nothing is happening and praying it wont. Management has ignored multiple emails, meetings they even agreed to. So they know money has been taken from employees, that our lives have been endangered. They DO NOT CARE. Management is either ALLOWED, or TOLD to lie, without consequence. Long version. Fat trimmed. When I got hired I was told within 2 years of being "okay" at my job, I should be expecting to be earning around 100k. This was a complete lie. The TRUTH.....is that ONE associate, ONE year earned that. This was told to myself and about a dozen others. When I alerted his boss of this discrepency, nothing happened. While I was in training in the field, the gentleman that trained me straight up tried to sell me meth on the clock but also partook himself. I alerted this to the boss that told me my pay expectation, nothing happened. When nothing happened I went to his boss, nothing happened. LUCKILY, for several years and MOST of my time here I had good bosses, so a few years went by. My managers started dropping because they were done dealing with the guy that did nothing, because all the work was shoved on them because the guy that promised people a crazy amount of pay and protected a meth user and dealer was and frankly still is, useless and more bad for this company than not. Now that all good managements gone(or inaccessable to me), lets get to the sad part that I HOPE.....someone big enough in the food chain will look into this, because a small pile of spoiled appled will ruin more if they are not trimmed. I got my SEVENTH boss early 2024. For perfect context, I had 2 broken feet(on top of a lot of general chronic pain), requested a lighter work load (was denied), requested to only have at MOST 8 hour shifts (3-4 days a week were over 9) I was covering a 150 MILE RADIUS, because we do not hire skilled, or reliable people when we are in a crunch, just someone with a pulse. I was written up once in my 4 years prior to this 7th boss due to a person in texas purposely putting gap in my schedule which was not discussed or agreed on as I was there to do as much as possible. (this was when texas had the nasty ice storm a few years bad, I was there for about a month helping) In less than a singular year I was written up 3, technically 4 times if you count my firing. Lets go over those. My first write up has no information or details due to my manager. So I will neither take that as is or defend myself. Two, due to my manager simply not having a conversation with not just A store associate,THE ONLY ONE, that has had guns pointed in my face. Because I called the associate out in the reschedule for that they need to pay more attention, go over with customers the correct information to avoid these issues. I was written up. Third. I had recently moved within 2 weeks. I was going to an area about 120 miles round trip away, thats well over an hours drive. A customer had unfortunately gotten called into work and my boss had texted me before I had even woken up which he knew. asking me if I was willing to push my workday back to accommodate the customer. This was originally posed as a QUESTION, or...an OPTION. I had called the customer and explained I had to be back in town before 5pm and I was unable to start my day roughly 6 hours later than normal. She understood this and rescheduled without issue. I had a 1 on 1 meeting with my boss that morning anyways. I was told that wasn't an option, even though it was worded as one. I was then written up, and what irks me the most is I told him, I had responsibilities I had to be in town for, because if I clock in at 8:30AM, My shift should be DONE bye 4:30, he apparently didn't know that, even though it was in a text message,crazy how managers get to lie to write you up. My fourth write up was because my boss is either a pathological liar, had a vendetta or there is just something wrong in his electric meatball. Someone was not doing thier job and I simply told him I was not going to do someone elses work when they can do it themselves, they are capable, and thats also POLICY AND PROTOCOL. It is crazy that this massive company protects meth dealers, management that gives you false information about your pay, lies to you (this guy still works here), pathological liars, management that doesn't do their job/lies to employees. Management(at least mine) was allowed to continuously lie or leave out VERY IMPORTANT details to negatively impact others and the management(bosses) above did not care when you told.

I went back to use the Gift Card 2 wks later to make a purchase and my gift card was wiped clean. The balance on my gift card was taken and not sure how that could have happened. I just hope the customer service will issue a refund for the missing balance or issue me a store credit for the balanced that was scammed after they research what possibly happened. Mr. MVP and I had to visit Ace Hardware on Saturday morning because someone tried to break into our…read morehouse on Wednesday night. Three of our screens were cut (and a large window was broken) and the police officer who responded to our call suggested that we take the screens to Ace Hardware to have them replaced. I had called ahead on Friday and asked about screen replacement and was given prices - FYI a regular sized window screen is about $7 for a replacement and $14 for a replacement with heavy duty screen. Our windows are gigantic so they were four times that amount. Not a big deal. The older gentleman who first helped us with our screens let us know that the screen guy would not be in until noon so we would have to leave our screens and come back - no problem. We left our name and number and asked for help finding some locks. He guided us to the right place and offered his advice on which lock he thought might work for our needs. He seemed like he had a little bit of knowledge about a lot of stuff. He offered us popcorn, which we had to turn down and then he had to go help another customer. We then wanted to look at security lights. When we turned the corner we found another employee - again another older gentleman - who we asked to help us find security flood lights. He seemed very confident when he guided us all the way across the store and pointed down on a shelf at Christmas tree lights. This gentleman was obviously confused. Mr. MVP clarified that we needed flood lights for the garage and he paused and started walking in the same direction we had just came from, only this time very slowly. We took a small tour of the store, pausing multiple times before we came to rest in front of indoor ceiling lights. Thankfully, Mr. MVP noticed the flood lights around the corner from where we were standing and politely pointed them out to me like I was the one who was walking around aimlessly. We thanked our tour guide and shopped the rest of Ace Hardware on our own. I still think that gentleman is lost somewhere looking for lights. This Ace Hardware is clean and very well stocked. They have everything - tools, paint, hardware and even some clothing. There is a lot of stuff for the home and all the improvements we all need to do. Their prices were very reasonable too. We purchased a four set of locks and double checked the price on Amazon. Amazon had the same set for just 50 cents more and because we like to support local businesses we thought that was a good deal. We will hopefully get our screens back on Monday (there was a sizing issue with the windows being too big and the screen material being too small) and if we need something in the future we know we have another nice hardware store in our area.

Their large seed blocks are priced lower than the local superstore's brand. Living out it rural America, we visit Tractor Supply frequently. Some Tractor Supply stores also fill propane tanks for your barbecue grill. The one on Shaver Road in Kalamazoo has propane refilling. Along with stuff for "the farm", they have clothes, shoes, and pet supplies. For those of you who are comfortable with "at home animal husbandry", they do have some of the shots that young puppies and kitties need available there. They have some great John Deere toys for kids too as well as wagons, trailers, and so many other things! The one they don't have -- an amigo at any of the stores so if you are handicapped -- bring your own scooter!
