This donut shop is one of my favorite spots near work. I love that I can always grab a great meal and fresh‑pressed juice here. This is NOT a donut shot, this is a smoothie shop! You don't come here for the donuts, you come here for the smoothie and get a breakfast item or coffee. The donuts taste like stale cardboard, probably left out for too long most of the time. I recommend you come in early if you want them fresh! It's ridiculous they raise the price for a dozen when you can pay the same for any place near them with much better quality. There is usually only one Spanish-speaking lady serving here; she is mostly on her phone or in the back, and she doesn't initiate side convo with customers most of the time. I stopped nearby to have my car serviced and my kiddo was feeling a hankering for a donut. As it turns out, this is the closest donut shop to Garden Grove Kia. So, we made the short walk up the road to check it out. It's a pretty standard place. Lots of stuff baked that day. No fancy decorations, straightforward. But, the staff seemed pleasant. Friendly even. We got what we wanted and we came and went. The donut holes definitely had been sitting out for several hours and didn't taste fresh. We ordered a dozen to split between the two of us, and we didn't finish them. I tried a frosted cake donut. It was fine. I don't think I'll need to come back here anytime soon. Kind owners and delicious donuts! I initially came inside this establishment to shake off a person who had been following me all the way from Garden Grove Blvd on foot. The man who seemed to be the owner went out of his way to ensure that I felt safe on my way back to the repair shop where I left my car. He was such a gentleman, and didn't ask for anything in return. Went over this place twice. The first time I bought a dozen donut. Lady there didn't seem to care about customers and just get me random donuts for my dozen. The donuts taste like they been sitting there for a day, terrible doughy aftertaste that stuck on the roof of my mouth. The chocolate tastes like they just boiled chocolate chips and pour them on top. The second time I came by and the lady didn't show up in the front for 5 minutes. The people there before me waited 10 minutes. Wanted to try their mango smoothie. Absolutely horrible service. Talked around and found out the place used to be owned by someone different. I usually have my daily dose of coffee and gave the iced coffee a try because Kathy V made it sound so appealing. It's really good! It reminds me of Vietnamese coffee but a less sweet version (which I'd prefer because I usually like my coffee black).
