I had to work Saturday, my second Saturday in a row, and at the end of the day I needed donuts. It was a donut emergency. I entered donuts/open now in Yelp and this little treasure popped up. Open 24 hours and this close to my house? Imagine my luck! I got all our favorites - my husband's buttermilk bars and my "everything with a filling". Rasberry filled - check, Boston creme - check. I also tried a strawberry creme turnover that was quite good. They had so many fresh donuts for it being 5pm on a Saturday. Delightful staff as well. This is a little too conveniently located that I have a feeling I'll be doing some serious damage here on a regular basis.

Donut Storr... THE best!

My family and I have been buying our donuts from the Donut Storr for years! If you follow my reviews you know we love our sweets! The Donut Storr is located in a small shopping center on the south/west corner of Springdale and Westminster. Don't be put off by the size of the shop... step in and order a lemon-filled powder sugar and I guarantee you'll be sold!

RUDE lady!!! OMG...
Julie N.

Wait. Did this place change hands? There used to be the sweetest lady who worked here, but today, THE RUDEST!!! See picture. She mumbles under her breath and says rude comments to customers. The quality of the donuts has also gone WAY down! ...and price increased substantially too!! Disappointed

Pastries are better than Westminster Donuts, but still over priced. Better to go to Krispy Kreme (in orange) or Seaside Donuts (in Newport)

Small coffee

Overpriced with $5 cash for a small ice coffee, won't come back ! You will be overcharged here

I have been here a few times and I have never questioned the price until today. The donuts were overpriced and I was short changed. I didn't complain, but this will be the last time I ever buy donuts at this location. The lady knew exactly what she was doing as when she handed me back the incorrect change I looked at her showed her the $5 bill she handed me and she looked at me and then walked away. She short changed me by $5. That $5 cost you a customer. Sometimes it's better to walk away and not argue over starting this early 5:30 am morning off upset. If you really need that $5, keep it. I'll take my business elsewhere.

Great mom and pop donut store. Their buttermilk bars, fritters and cronuts are cakey and very moist.

The best donut in the area. The staff are friendly. The apple fritter is my favorite. All the donuts are delicious.

However, this morning I wanted to surprise my daughter with donuts before work and this was the closest spot. The Asian woman at the front took my order and was very rude. I initially wanted hot chocolate then immediately said never mind I'll get the iced frappe and she she acted like it was the worst thing for me to do. I ignored that and she handed me my donut and what I thought was my 2 sandwiches. I noticed a young man also working and I went next door to pull money out so I can tip him for how hard working he is. I come back into donut boss and the woman is screaming at me that I stole someone's donuts! I look in my bag and see my donut with 2 other donuts. The man told me that he didn't understand why she was screaming because it was just a misunderstanding. She told me that my stuff was stilll being made and to wait my turn, excuse me? You handed me the bag with his donuts in it!! I'm so upset at this point after she humiliated me in front of a place full of people. I'm waiting for my frappes and she hands me my stuff and I ask where was my second donut ( I initially ordered two but the bag only had one). She said she only charged me for one, I told her to make sure since she's making so much mistakes (no apology to me btw). I can tell as she's looking at my receipt that she did make a mistake, but says no she didn't (upon further inspection I realize she actually charged me for less then I owed!) Anyway, before I left I did ask the young man if he keeps all his tips that people give him and he said yes, and so I tipped him and thanked him for all his hard work and kindness. I will never come back to this establishment again. People like her give businesses a bad name. Got my order wrong, charged me wrong, and called me a thief. I could have made a scene but chose kindness instead. I suggest she learn to do the same. This place is pretty run down and dirty. However, I did appreciate the food tasting great and so did our drinks. For the expensive price, I would hope so.

THE BEST SALT BREAD…read more after living in Korea and Japan for a short time i've been addicted and looking for the best salt bread back in cali and i think i found it. idk how the coffee here even tastes but i do know their salt bread is to die for. just the right amount of fluffy, creamy, crispy, and salty. it's just perfect and you need to try it here too. Salt bread: Get if you want the bread and butter (pun intended) and classic deliciousness, this is it. Thought that was really weird and off-putting. The tables inside are really uncomfortably low so not the best place to study in my opinion. Also the AC was blasting so I was really cold, which is rare for me because I run really warm. Coffee wasn't that great to me, it tasted pretty smoky and I barely tasted the flavor in my tiramisu latte. What I would come back for are some of the pastries that I had! The ham and cheese croissant was fine, I probably wouldn't get it again. Also it was still cold in the inside even after they heated it up. For the salt breads, my favorite were the truffle, mentaiko, and bacon and scallion. I just wish there was more filling for the mentaiko and the bacon and scallion rolls. The egg sando one was a bit too creamy and heavy for me because the roll was already so buttery. I'd probably skip the creme brulee one for the same reason because it was sooo sweet and overwhelming. If I were to come back I'd probably just get one salt bread because it lowkey made me feel sick after eating it. I think it was just the sheer amount of butter in each roll but they are so yummy and addicting!

I stopped by to check out their treats - they were already out of their famous cronchas, so I opted for a sausage, egg and cheese croissant sandwich instead. They must've been out of sausage, since I had just bacon in my croissantwich instead. Oh well. It was still a decent croissant. The guy was nice enough to fill my sandwich bag with some donut holes on the house. The wait can get long - especially if you've got picky people in front of you - but it's worth the wait. Prices are fair for what you're getting - depending on when you get here, the donuts can be fresh - but they do sell out as the day passes. Employees are friendly and quick - the wait is usually because of the indecisive people in front of you. Opens early at 5:00am, closes at 12:30pm. Cash preferred, card accepted with 50 cent charge.

I arrive around 7:15am and there were only 6 left-lucky me, I snagged them all! When I asked if they would be making more, the staff member was super friendly and explained that they only bake a limited batch each morning. She even took the time to recommend calling ahead the day before or early in the morning next time, since they tend to sell out quickly. I really appreciate how helpful and kind she was. The Cronchas were amazing---- flaky, buttery, and topped with that perfect concha sweetness. Totally worth the early stop.
