Showed me videos of her progress and even asked me to bring one of my other dogs up whom remi fights with. So he could work with them together and help solve those issues. In the past I have had other trainers tell me from day one that Remi couldnt be helped. Not Josh, not his team. She thrived with them! When I got my girl back, she was calmer, focused and yet she was still herself. She loves Josh, she loves the people at velvet snout. The best part of their training program is that it doesnt end when you get your dog back. Josh and his team set you up for success as the dog parent. Giving you instruction to gain that same respect with your dog as he gets from them. Including follow up sessions. He was also aware that I was very nervous about triggers in my home. So he decided to bring remi home and show me what to do and how to react/correct those triggers in the house. I live over and hour away from this place and I will be coming back to let my dogs go to doggy daycare, get groomed or whatever they offer. Over the last couple years. The service has gone downhill here. They are constantly getting new groomers and you don't have a consistent experience. At the time you get somebody who doesn't know what they're doing and the other half of the time it looks great but it's just not consistent. Now I went and visited with the owner there and got up charged for silly things that I've never been charged before before despite going there every month for probably five years. Myself and many other customers are looking for a new place to go. You probably should too.

On this occasion, I was told the delay was due to flooding and traffic, but it was only light rain--and it quickly became clear these were just excuses. When a groomer finally arrived at 8:00 AM, I asked if they were scheduled for 7 or 8, and they told me they always start at 8. So why was I booked for 7 AM? To make matters worse, when I asked if my dog would be taken next, the manager initially said yes, but after a conversation between the groomers, she changed her story and claimed they had 8 AM appointments ahead of mine--even though my appointment was at 7 AM. It was frustrating and confusing. I had to request to the customer directly if it was ok if my 7am appointment could go first. There was also a dog in a crate in the back crying for over an hour--yet another example of poor care and lack of consideration. As I waited I saw 4 more dogs get dropped off all for appointments that already had multiple dogs waiting for the two groomers. Honesty and communication are essential in any business, but especially one where people are trusting you with their pets. The manager not only gave misleading information but also consistently fails to respond to messages or communicate clearly--except when it comes to offering excuses that aren't true. Unfortunately, after a one-week stay, one of our dogs came home with kennel cough and the other with Giardia. The vet visits, testing, and treatment ended up costing us about as much as the boarding itself. I understand illnesses can happen anywhere dogs are grouped together, but having both dogs come home with separate contagious illnesses makes me seriously question the cleanliness and sanitation standards here. I just want other pet owners to be aware before booking.
