    Self serve stations

Most chinatown places to eat are small, dingy and gross but this one was large, airy, spacious and the booths were spacious and had comfortable seating. But there were flies buzzing around which dinged my review a bit. I got the hot and sour soup base and it was delicious. I like the concept of self serve, they bring out sliced beef and lamb for you but otherwise you can pick and choose however much you want. They even had fried chicken and it was really good! I also appreciate the drink station which not a lot of buffets offer and at the end I got a taro soft serve. Although the lunch buffet is advertised as $21.99 I found after tax and tip I paid $30 but it's worth it for the variety and quality and all you can eat.

I went there on my birthday and it's free for the basic all you can eat. No need to bring anyone or register in advance. Just show your ID when you pay. There are some cooked mongolian dishes but other than that it's the usual hotpot food you can get there. Good service.

All the food that we got was delicious! There was tons of it and a lot of great variety. Their sauce bar also had everything you could possibly want to make the most perfect sauce. The people who served us were very efficient and things came out quickly. the only part that I didn't love was when you walked in there was a bit of a scent that wasn't the most appetizing. However, after being there for certain amount of time I didn't notice it anymore so perhaps it went away. I would 100% go back again and was delighted to see closer to when we are leaving that they are robots that deliver some of the food also. The robots are so cute they play a little song and they have these little cat faces.

Taste: 4.5/5 Good variety of broths and ingredients. The broths we had: mala spicy and tomato. Both were pretty flavourful. Good price. Vibe: 3.5/5 The resto can accommodate about 50 people. For large groups (10 or more) you can reserve a private room. (Better book 1 week ahead.) Service: 4/5 Mostly self-served but the servers were nice.

Service was nice! This unlike other places you get the ingredients yourself which I liked since it's faster that way, they also had cooked food and a sauce table. Everything was pretty decent, only complaint is that it was kinda hot in there and with the hot pot we were sweating

This is def a hole in the wall vibe. Their chopstick wrapper says sauces are not needed for this style of hotpot and I thought, wow what an ego. AND THEY WERE RIGHT. Idk what they do to the meat or broth but I did not need to use any sauce for the meat. I had lamb, lamb balls, fish balls, mussels, and broccoli. THE LAMB WAS SO GOOD :') It absorbed the mild non spicy broth that I had and it perfectly complemented the lamb. It was basically a mushroom and goji berry brother. I love this place Also they have a BOGO 50% off so your second guest comes for half price. BEAUTIFUL. I also really love their unlimited beverage selection: water, plum soup, and soy milk. I love their soy milk so much.

Pretty good. Quite standard hotpot place I would say. You get what you pay for and the quality of the food isn't that bad. I will say though that of all the little sheep Mongolian locations I've visited, I've enjoyed this place the least. Some random points: * The bench chairs are bolted to the ground and are so far from the table - you end up sitting on the VERY edge of your seat while eating - very uncomfortable. Definitely ask to sit at a table with chairs. * The juice and milk are free and you can serve yourself however much you want. * There's a bunch of other free food items by the dipping sauce station you can partake in - good for if you're REALLY hungry while waiting for your order.. Just don't fill yourself up too much. * The service is quite poor and the food always takes forever to come everytime I'm here. Not all the servers seem to understand basic requests for additional napkins or chopsticks, and will also take a long time to fulfill ad hoc requests. * Overall sanitary environment seems a little questionable.

Happy lamb hot pot is a great place to go especially during these colder months! A robot comes and delivers your food which I found really cool! The lamb and beef melts in your mouth after cooking and the side dishes are very delicious as well! We got a half spicy and have mild broth which is great if you want to taste both! I must warn you the spicy broth is VERY SPICY!! I also liked how they had a little pamphlet of cooking time instructions for meat and other dishes as well in case you get confused! I found it quite helpful! I really enjoyed the food and it's well worth the price! I left super super full, could not eat breakfast the following morning! Haha

Great food. A bit expensive but great food great attention by the manager. They give you 3 round to order anything you want on the menu. There is a robot that comes to you every time you with the plates you order which is pretty cute. Any gluten free person can eat as my husband is gluten free he was able to eat everything on the menu. Meats are not marinated and the broth was safe . The one they recommend is the clear broth it's made with herbal. Rice noodle is available. Recommended for gluten free or non. Will go back again. Ohh! At the end they give ice cream included which is good.

There's an abundance of hot pot restaurants in Chinatown Toronto but I'm a big fan of the Little Sheep chain. This location is basically AYCE because you can go through 3 rounds of food selections and there are other premium selections that are available at an additional cost. Their broth choices are milky (bone marrow broth) and spicy but you can also do half and half, AKA yin yang style. Beware of the peppercorns in the spicy broth because it's more of the numbing spice feeling! The meat is good quality and the portions are generous. They also have appetizers (ranging from cold noodles, seasoned veggies, etc.) that you can pile up on while you wait for your food to cook. They also have a self-serve create your own sauce bar and offer dessert! Service was also friendly and we were checked up on frequently.

Because they have divided the grill into 12 zones, they don't really "stir fry" you food. The flavors don't really mix well together. They need to toss the food a bit more so the flavors and spices mix. There is a little salad bar with lettuce, cucumbers, potato salad. macaroni salad pickled beets and a few more items. The night went they had a chicken noodle soup and minestrone soup. It's out of the way for me, but if I were passing by sometime in the future, I would return.

Both don't include broth. - There is a promotion going on (May 2025) where if you get the dinner hot pot for lunch or dinner, pay an extra $1 to get broth. - I'd skip the meat at the self-serve area. You get enough beef and lamb already. Last Wednesday, our departmental meeting was pushed from its usual 1 pm start to 2:30 pm. Our team meeting was cancelled due to this move. I asked my friend what his schedule was like. It was clear, except for our afternoon meeting. It was the same for me. We had talked a while back about going for hot pot. I asked if he wanted to do hot pot for lunch. He said yes. Yay! We found three hot pot places roughly twenty minutes away from the office. We decided to try this one. We both hadn't been here before. I drove us over here. There was lots of parking in front of the restaurant. I backed into a spot and we walked in. We were promptly greeted by a woman. We got a table of two. We were quickly seated at table 37. Our seats were comfortable. The table was large enough for our hot pot, and all our food and drinks during our meal. We got menus. The lunch hot pot was $20.99. The dinner hot pot was available for $28.99. The only difference is that there's a section in the self-serve area that has dinner items only. We were told that there was a special going on. If we each got the dinner hot pot for $28.99, we could add $1 for broth. We said yes. Broth is separate. It's an interesting pricing structure. We wanted two types of broth for $9.99, but we added the $1 on the dinner hot pot to check everything out. For the broths, we got clear and curry. The woman said that she'd bring the pot out with the broths and we could help ourselves to the self-serve area. We liked both broths. My friend liked the clear one better. The curry tasted like Japanese-style curry, which had my heart. There was a lot of food. I made the mistake of getting dumplings and beef meatballs that were raw. I also got fish balls that were cooked. I recommend sticking with the beef and lamb slices, and skipping the proteins in the self-serve areas. There's enough protein already. Lesson learned! The fountain drinks are at the back. My friend loved the orange juice. He said that it was addictive like Tang. Oh, wow! I alternated between the Diet Coke and plum juice. They were excellent. I was happy with getting veggies, udon, and rice sticks. The mushrooms, potatoes, and sweet potatoes were fun to cook and eat. Any green veggie also worked well. We got thin slices of beef and lamb. They cooked quickly. I liked the beef more. The lamb was gamey even after you dip it in whatever sauce you have created. We felt that the pot itself was up high on the table. The depth of this pot was probably three inches. The cooking element was not sunken into the table. Trying to figure out where our food was swimming and whether it was cooked took more care than usual. We are fairly tall people and the added pot height took us by surprise. The pot also wasn't centred properly. Our curry broth was boiling away, but the clear was at a low simmer. I shifted the pot, which seemed to have made a difference to get both broths to do the same rolling boil. Sadly, one of my huge lamb dumplings wasn't cooked properly when I checked because of the weird discrepancy with the boils. I ended up putting it in a small bowl, pouring hot broth on top of it, and cooking it that way. I had already opened it up to check for doneness and didn't want to drop it back in. I felt like I overdid the cooking, but at least it was fully cooked! I somehow managed to get some dessert, which was a small section in the self-serve area. I got a small chocolate cake square, which was delicious. There were also peaches that were clearly out of a can. The honeydew melon chunks were fresh. I frankly feel that the lunch hot pot with a broth purchase would have been sufficient. I was happy to have tried mini corn cobs, enoki, and more from the dinner section. I would have been fine without it because there were so many food options. Our server asked if we wanted ice cream. It came with our meal. We were so full that we skipped it. The washrooms are in the back, just before you hit the beverages. The women's was clean. My friend paid for both of us at the front counter. I ended up paying him back when I got us back to the office. It's not bad paying roughly $35 after taxes for such a feast. We had a good time. It was a lot of food. We learned what not to do, so we'll be back to perfect our hot pot skills and try to squeeze in some ice cream! (160)

And sooooo many veggies and salads and sauces and spring rolls and, and, and!!! What a hidden gem!!! GO!!! Stop reading this review and GO!!!

I visited for dinner with my boyfriend after seeing all the great reviews on Yelp and I'm glad we…read morechose this place! They have a hot pot side and a barbecue side and we chose all you can eat hot pot. They have lots of cuts of meat to choose from, plus fresh vegetable and noodle stations that are self-serve. We went with a dual pot of beef broth with spicy Mongolian seasoning and veg broth with Spicy Tom Yum. Both were great, but I especially liked the spicy Mongolian. We ordered quite a bit of meat (some beef tendon, sliced beef, sliced pork, salmon, and pork and shrimp dumplings) and it was all fresh and delicious. Veg included bok choy, cabbage, enoki mushrooms, and lots more, plus plenty of noodle varieties. They have a great selection here and there's surely something for everyone. We had a great dinner here. Everything was tasty and the service was friendly. We'd definitely visit again the next time we are in the area!
