I will be making monthly appointments. This place will literally change our routine as it is easily accessible by foot and my dogs were so happy! I have been going to happy dog now for about a year and I've never had problems, until today. Today they just canceled an appointment that I had made four weeks ago. I have professional photographs being taken this weekend of us and our dog. Her grooming appointment was scheduled on Tuesday and we leave on Wednesday. When I simply asked that I get a credit on my next appointment because they canceled on me day of The person on the phone told me that I am no longer welcome at happy dog because of my reaction and that I need to listen to myself when I speak. I think it is ridiculous that They require a deposit and they take a fee out of that deposit if you cancel on them the day of but We're not willing to offer that same fee as a discount on my next appointment. They explained to me that the groomer was sick and could not work and I explained to them that I feel bad for the groomer do not expect her to work through her sickness in any way shape or form however they continue to yell at me on the phone and say that I was no longer welcome at their salon because of the way I reacted. Obviously I'm going to be frustrated that you cancel on me the day of and the day before I'm supposed to leave on a vacation that my dog is a part of and that we have photos professional photos being paid for this weekend. Their professionalism or lack of Professionalism I should say is astounding, I try to give my money in my business a small business businesses but this is not a business that I would support in any way shape or form. At the end of the call I was trying to work out a solution and they actually hung up on me and said I am no longer welcome at their salon because I was upset that they canceled on me the day of. The owner claims I verbally abused her over the phone. this is simply not true the ONLY profanity that was UTTERED was "I knew this would freaking (enter singular cuss word here) happen" simply referring to the fact that I KNEW I couldn't rely on happy dog to make things right in extenuating circumstances. Absolutely NO yelling occurred on my end, if anything it was a frustrating tone with the ONE line mentioned above. The employee on the phone then proceeded to YELL at me for "cussing them out". I immediately apologized and reiterated that it was in no way shape or form directed at them AND it was general frustration at the situation. They have since reached out TERMINATING me from their business - as if I was going back anyway. Completely unprofessional on their end to not make something work in this special circumstance. I think it is only fair that we received a credit equal to the cancellation fee that they charge when a customer cancels on them. read more

We've been coming to happy dog for a little while now and have been pleased with their service and grooming quality. I've taken my dog here for teeth cleaning and regular cuts and they take care of him well. We had a little mishap with his haircut today and when I provided feedback, I was even more amazed with their customer service. They change groomers too often and they do not inform you. So when you notice you dog has not been groomed but shaved down with clippers and you are charged $170.00 dollars, it is a problem. I complained after being a customer for some time and the owner tells me that it is not a good fit because she can't take constructive criticism. What happened to the customer, I would never support this business again. The best groomers are gone anyway and now I know why! Too expensive and the grooming has gone downhill. I live in Clear Brook Virginia and traveled to Baltimore to have my greyhounds teeth cleaned at the Happy Dog Boutique. I was completely shocked at how well they got my greyhounds teeth cleaned. I give them I will start taking them there for dental cleaning and grooming for now on. Yes it's a two hour drive one way but it is well worth it. This was our first time using a sitter service for our three cats. Everyone we dealt with was super nice and thorough. We received email updates along with photos every time they came to the house and they were very understanding when our alarm accidentally went off, our fault completely. Happy Dog has been the best thing that has happened to me since moving to Baltimore. I'm currently in grad school at UMB so I have a crazy schedule that changes from time to time and Happy Dog has always been quick to respond to my requests and help me out with my pup last minute when needed. We were absolutely elated to find Happy Dog after moving to Baltimore from Chicago. Our dog does not like other dogs and therefore must be walked by herself. Paige took the time to stop by and meet our dog before her first walk and learned all of her little quirks (she could pull an offensive lineman over to get to a squirrel). Everyone at Happy Dog is friendly and punctual. I always knew our dog was in good hands and never worried about her for a moment. We often utilized the pet sitting option (3 visits per day) and it was a great alternative to boarding where she would have to be in a cage due to her aggressive nature with other dogs. I have an abused rescue (she has a bullet in her hind leg to prove it). Being used as target practice as a pup creates an animal that is in a perpetual state of fear. I have worked very hard to help my Molly overcome those feelings, but being out of her routine really makes life hard for her. After researching online and reading reviews from several possible companies, I decided to call Happy Dog. I don't have enough words to exress how great a decision this was for me and, more importantly, Molly. Katie was incredibly empathetic, willing to help, communicative about different options and suggestions which was very helpful since I am unfamiliar with the area. I was forced to focus on my own health for several hours. Katie came to my hotel and, I am not exaggerating, she may just be the REAL Dog Whisperer. Molly went with Katie with ease and while I was waiting for doctors and test results, Katie was texting me photos of Molly hiking, and swimming, and cruising around dowtown. I was starting to worry Molly wouldn't even want to come home with me! Fortunately Molly did return to PA, but I think it was more because she is not a city girl. Good thing Happy Dog wasn't located in a more rural area because I am pretty sure Katie is straight up affection competition. Happy Dog is so wonderful, I don't know where to begin. Simply stated, they are professional, flexible, and extraordinarily caring. Each month, you get an invoice for the walks that you have scheduled. Please know that this does not mean you can't switch the days of your walk, call at the last minute, or alter the time (I've had to do that numerous times because of work)! In addition, they post pictures of your dog within an hour of the walk. It's reassuring and fun getting to see your dog out with them. Initially, I thought the flexibility was my favorite thing about Happy Dog, but really it's the care. My dog absolutely adores them! Several folks in the neighborhood have meant my pup out with the dog walker and commented how great they are. The thing that really has distinguished them for me is their willingness to help in different situations. My dog has an extremely sensitive stomach and has had an accident (on more than one occasion) inside his crate or in the house. Lalaine is very professional and caring. I left my rabbit and guinea pig in her care while traveling for work, and had to keep pushing the date of my return back farther and farther. We have used many dog walkers over the years and we are by far the most pleased with Happy Dog. They've been taking care of our two dogs for the past couple years and I wouldn't trust anyone else.
