Hendrix
Alicia H.

I can't say enough good things about this daycare facility and Hendrix loves going to daycare. It's very clean, they provide snacks, they wipe your pup down after playtime, and if your fur baby has a special diet, just ring in the food with instructions. They will take it from there. I normally take him in the afternoon and he comes home so tired he just eats dinner and goes to bed. On the rainy days, it's great to have an alternative to staying in the house. The rates are reasonable, the onsite groomer did a wonderful job with Hendrix. And best of all, you can watch your pup play by downloading an app. ( for a small fee, I think it's less than $5 a month). Day care payments are automatically drafted every two weeks and if you choose to get your pup bathed while at daycare, it's added to your bill. Just call Melissa and make the appt. I'm very glad I found GDDC, and so is Hendrix.

I have a super sweet, friendly and well trained pup who I brought to this facility 3x a week. On 3 occasions he got aggressively bit on the head/face. He has at least 5 scars from these attacks. Once I was told it was a result of food aggression by another dog during "lunch time", another was just an aggressive dog that "shouldn't have been there". Often the stories of staff didn't match. When I talked to the owner there was no offer of resolution, just that it was unfortunate. On many days if you check the cameras there are loads of unsupervised dogs. It's so disappointing because my dog enjoyed playing, but who can risk the injury or the chance of them becoming aggressive themselves.

Now that the banner is up, it's hard to miss when traveling on 29th Street!

This is by far the best place to take your pup! We moved into the suburbs and still make the drive to take our hound dog here for boarding.

Ask the Community - Good Doggie Day Care

Hello I was wondering how much will be grooming ,nails clipped and training ? With a bandana?😊 oh I have a brindle that likes to chase every dog or person not so much as other dogs he turned 1 today? February 18th and his name is Clover. Thanks

Our Groomer only services our Dog Day Care pets. She does her own billing so I would not know her prices. Her company is Chesapeake Pet Style. I believe she has a website for more info.

Right off the bat when I went to drop off my puppy, the two women behind the counter were extremely nice. They went over everything to expect. I didn't realize I had to bring my own food. They do have snacks and meals for purchase though, such as homemade turkey meatballs, and a chicken protein bowl. The best part is that you can watch your dog live on their WebCam. This definitely gave me a lot of peace of mind to be able to see how my pup was doing and interacting with the other dogs. From 12 PM to 2 PM, the cameras are off for nap time. When I went to pick him up, they gave me a little report card with his mood, the new dog friends he made, and a brief overview on how he did. I definitely think that this is good for dog socialization. Regarding the price, to board your dog it's $69 a night. They also have a weekly enrollment daycare plan: 1-day enrollment: $51/week 2-day enrollment: $92/week 3-day enrollment: $129/week Unlimited enrollment: $184/week

The pricing structure is too complicated for me to explain here, but they are pretty flexible about adjusting to your needs. They have recently changed their system to involve a reservation system due to high demand, but honestly we have never had an issue getting our dog in on a day that we needed him to. They will give your dog a meal if you bring it with your dog. One note, it's best to remove your dogs collar before dropping off, to minimize the risk that they will forget to give you the collar back at pick up. In fact I think under the new system they request this specifically since Covid started.

The staff are not just professional, they're genuinely amazing. Every single person there clearly loves dogs, and you can feel it the moment you walk in. They know each pup as an individual, not just a number on the roster. The daily mix of group play, individual attention, enrichment activities, and structured downtime means Olive comes home happy, tired, and mentally satisfied instead of overstimulated or bored. I've never had a single worry about her safety or well-being while she's there. Even better, my 7-month-old Amstaff mix Bohdi has been taking private training lessons at Fieldstone, and wow, Lindsey, the training director, is in a league of her own. I've worked with several trainers over the years (both personally and professionally), and Lindsey is by far the best handler/trainer I've ever had the pleasure of working with. She's patient, incredibly knowledgeable, reads dogs like an open book, and makes every session fun and productive. Bohdi looks forward to seeing her and her pup Birdie, and I can already see huge progress in his focus, impulse control, and manners. The training isn't just about commands, it's about building confidence and a real bond. The whole team at Fieldstone shines with genuine care and expertise. If you want a place where your dog is truly loved, safely enriched, and expertly trained, look no further. Fieldstone is the gold standard. Highly, highly recommend... five stars aren't enough!

Had to take him to the urgent vet clinic and my baby has kennel cough. He received a bath I didn't ask for which has me concerned about the care and observation he received. I've been leery of the spot for some time after a few uses because there is no grass for him to pee or play. I've tried to overlook this, but how? Does he just go on the floor? Or in their kennels? In addition the owner's rude and dismissive disposition leaves much to be desired and much to avoid at all cost. Only because 1 or 2 of the front desk workers are kind do I feel regret for having to write this , but never will I ever subject my baby or myself to that facility. My dog's emergency vet bill, the poor care, and the lackluster customer service from the owner has me sold on never returning. An observation: a reviewer from just few days ago, 14 to be exact, made a similar complaint. Perhaps stop refuting the claim and review and clean a bit better, and treat your patrons like supporters and not the enemy. It's on you.
