We've only had two classes (of the four we have scheduled) but Lola (6 months old) is already showing great progress. We couldn't have done it without "Coach Craig".

    Yeah a trained pup

So glad my pup , Layla, is being trained here, she is getting all the individualized training, outdoor experiences, and attention. I love the daily videos and pics of her actually listening and learning. We can't wait to see her with her new set of manners. Thanks again. Leslie

I've been here twice. The first time I came it was super fun because my dog was only about 4 months or 5 months old. The second time she was a little older and unfortunately this is her last time that she can go. If you have a small dogs 6 months or younger I definitely recommend to take your dog here it's definitely worth the $10. I've only done Puppy Playtime I've never done any of the training. I've been training my own dog since I got her.

I have had two experiences with this place - one GREAT and one TERRIBLE. So unfortunately I'm split. Giving 3 stars though as my bad experience was really related to one employee. She cut every session short by 10-15 mins, then treated me extremely rudely when I showed up at the wrong appointment time (yes, I understand their no-show no-refund policy and I was not contesting that, just confused as to how I had the wrong appointment time and why she wasn't even willing to talk to me since I was late). The lessons were expensive, and ultimately was regretful I signed my second dog up for lessons through her :( However the first trainer (the owner I believe) was amazing and did a fabulous job with my first puppy (hence the reason I signed up the first dog)!! She was great and took time to make sure the dog understood the command before working with me to make sure I knew how to reinforce the training at home through the week. Short recommendation - it's expensive, but well worth it if you get a good trainer. I was 50/50 and have told friends to try a location other than Jessup.

When talking with them, they recommended their puppy orientation (which is more like a tailored training session to cover general information and whatever you specifically want to talk about), the cost of which goes towards the bootcamp, so you aren't losing anything in taking the class. I was already going to proceed with the bootcamp, but after our session, I was even more excited for our pup to go. Jessi worked with our 14-week puppy for just about two hours, during which time she made huge strides in her "leave it" and in walking and jumping. Jessi gave me easy tips that I used the next day on a walk, and it was like a night and day experience in getting her to heel. I can't wait for her to attend her bootcamp. Another huge perk to this location (and something I specifically wanted when searching for locations) is they also do general overnight boarding, where they will keep up her training. You can even leave notes about specific concerns if you did their bootcamp with them. They are also so so close to BWI, which is great for us in planning boarding. It's also really not far from DC (just over 30 minutes) for anyone in the District!

Premier DT got him turned around. He came home after 3 weeks so happy to show off all he learned and his knowing how to please us makes him a more pleasant member of the family. Given a choice, he would go live with his trainer Connor. No questions asked. He LOVES Connor. When he comes for boarding or on Connor's home visit Nelson was/is a puddle of love. We have continued to work with him on our own, using the commands, and now a year plus later he walks off leash most of the time, leaves squirrels and everything else on command and does the right thing 99% of the time.

I knew this was the place to board my Coco when other dogs were coming in tails wagging and smiling instead of seeming terrified like other boarding places. One star. I'm done with Wagging Lounge Dog Resort…read more I just left Wagging Lounge, and I can confidently say this was my last visit. It is always something with this place. Before heading over today, I specifically checked their website to confirm the cutoff time for the self-wash on Saturdays. The website said 4:30 PM, which is already a full 90 minutes before their 6 PM closing time. I hightailed it over there with plenty of time, only to be told when I arrived that the last self-wash is actually 4 PM. So, to be clear: you close at 6 PM, your website tells customers 4:30 PM, but when they arrive, you tell them the cutoff is 4 PM. Make it make sense. Unfortunately, this is not my first frustrating experience here. On a previous visit, they refused to clip my dog's nails because they claimed he was "too aggressive." Let me add some context: my little dog is 14 pounds soaking wet and has never had an issue getting his nails clipped anywhere else. Meanwhile, during one of my visits, a dog they were servicing actually jumped on me and nearly knocked me over. So apparently my 14-pound dog is too "aggressive" to have his nails clipped, but a dog in their care can jump on a customer and nearly knock her down? How's that for aggressive behavior? And that was on top of dogs throughout the facility barking their heads off and pulling their owners on their leashes. Yet somehow, my tiny dog was singled out as the problem. At a certain point, repeated experiences like these leave you wondering why a business seems so determined not to serve you. I cannot say what motivates the treatment I've received, but as a Black customer, I would be lying if I said these experiences have not left me questioning whether bias, including racial bias, played a role. What I do know for certain is this: Wagging Lounge will never see me or my money again. There are too many businesses that actually value pet owners, communicate their policies accurately, and make customers feel welcome for me to keep giving this place another chance. I've given them enough chances. I'm done.

Despite me typing up a whole instruction sheet, he insisted on walking through again just to be sure (which is very reassuring). The actual pet sitting was spectacular. The pet sitter who was assigned was Kim. She spent plenty of time with the cats and made sure they were well cared for while I was away. The visit reports they leave are really cute as well. Also want to add that Stewart (when he came for the home visit) was wearing a mask and gloves to protect against COVID (a welcome sight). Prior to today, I gathered all of the details for today's visit. (I knew I should have gotten my dog and left then but I didn't). (SECOND NEGATIVE) At the conclusion of the testing, they are suppose to provide a physical report card of how well your pup did. Fast forward to the pickup. When they brought my pup out, he did not look like how I dropped him off (I'm not complaining about this because he was playing with other dogs.)
