Chico in our yard after going to daycare, nothing but smiles!
    Jacqueline C.

I have been so thankful to Dogthrive and the care they take for my pup. Chico, my dog, is my baby we don't have children so he really is my child. We took Chico here when he was a puppy to do a temperament test and he did great and came back so tired which was amazing for us! We continue to take him here and he is almost one. I can only speak to the daycare as I have not had him groomed or boarded here yet but our experience has been very pleasant so far! There are many bad reviews for dogthrive but I feel like a lot of them come from unrealistic expectations. Chico for one is an excited piddler and as he's gotten older it's gotten a lot better but there have been times he's come home smelling like urine but it's always been explained why and was usually, "A new tech walked in he got excited and peed a little then rolled over to get a belly rub and rolled in the pee before we could grab him to clean it up." This has happened at home so it wasn't just a story they were telling us. They also have explained that they tried to clean him up and sprayed him with puppy deoderizing shampoo spray which I haven't seen with other daycares do. Since he is going into a place with lots of other dogs I don't expect him to come out smelling like he just got a bath so I think some expectation management helps with that. Just recently I have been shown why I love and will continue taking him to Dog Thrive. For one we were walking around a farmers market and a person steps out of their booth and asks, is that Chico?! And at first I was confused because I didn't recognize them but Chico did and they immediately let me know they work at DogThrive and they love playing with him and how much they enjoy having him there, they proceeded to get on their hands and knees to give Chico some love. For someone in their off time to not only recognize him but go out of their way to tell me they enjoy time with him and for him to have such an amazing reaction to seeing them outside of the daycare setting shows these people really love these dogs when we aren't with them. Secondly, I had some potential plans that would require me to board Chico that weren't confirmed yet so when I dropped him off for daycare I provided food and toys just in case and explained the situation. They were communicative and very understanding that he may or may not be boarded. I didn't end up needing to board him and picked him up at the end of the day. I realized I was charged for boarding anyway which makes sense since I made the reservation and was set to board. When I called and told them of the charge they not only refunded me for the boarding but also for the day of daycare (that he did partake in). How amazing is that? I love the staff and have nothing but amazing things to say about how well Chico has been treated here! If you don't mind the occasional necessary bath from a day spent playing and having fun then this is the place for you and your pup!

Surprisingly for the last two years the groomers that I've been using have randomly closed or gone out of business. I'm so glad I found Dog Thrive. I was able to find everything I needed online from their awesome website. I arrived on time with my dogs and they immediately took them back and asked me what type of cut I wanted for them. The groomer explained recommended cuts and suggested ways to trim up their face. Within two hours, I got a call that they were ready for pickup. I was so impressed when I saw them that I was almost confused if they were my dogs. I'm happy that they offer other services such as broading, daycare and pick up services. I will be using them again for my future needs.

i took my 7 month old schnoodle here to get her first big girl cut and i'm amazed by the results. they really brought the schnauzer out in her! i will definitely be coming back for her other grooming needs. the drop off time and pick up was very convenient with my schedule. the best part was it only being a 10 minute drive from my house! wish i discovered this gem sooner :)

Our dog is quite nervous and anxious, but all of the walkers truly understand dogs and have been incredibly patient with her as she develops trust with new people. They knew how to make her comfortable. The benefit of using a company instead of Rover is that when one of the dog walkers moved on to a new career, the company had a new employee ready to take over so I didn't need to spend time searching for a replacement. Tails on Trails is very reliable and they take great care of the dogs. I'm not sure why some of these older reviews are negative, but that certainly hasn't been our experience at all.

We know that as our house has multiple cameras with LIVE view as well. One camera was sitting right in the living room, with a green light on it, so it was not even hidden. What really aggravated us was how short some of the walks were and what actually was reported. Once we got back we confronted the owner with the info, not for any type of refund or other but just informational so she knows. She did confront the walker who apparently denied that the visits were not cut short. Altogether not very happy and will not use them again.

Despite me typing up a whole instruction sheet, he insisted on walking through again just to be sure (which is very reassuring). The actual pet sitting was spectacular. The pet sitter who was assigned was Kim. She spent plenty of time with the cats and made sure they were well cared for while I was away. The visit reports they leave are really cute as well. Could not have gone smoother! I'd also like to add that they were available with very short notice (3 other pet sitting companies were unable to handle our request). Also want to add that Stewart (when he came for the home visit) was wearing a mask and gloves to protect against COVID (a welcome sight). Pet owners would should have their minds at ease if they select Love Those Paws. If I go on vacation again (few and far between these days) I would definitely use them again!

The sitters vary but all are enthusiastic based on the reports they leave. After every visit the sitter leaves a note of when they came and left and what they did. The sitter stays a while after the food, water, and paper are changed to make sure the birds aren't acting weird, and I hear that some singing goes on. We've never had a problem and have be accommodated at very short notice when we want to go away for the weekend. My dog was either not fed or not given the food I provided. When I arrived, I was given two bags of food back. I provided enough for 2 feedings each day during his four day stay. Unfortunately, Raymond, the manager did not know why this was the case. 2. No one called me to report blood bowel movements, nor was he given timely potty breaks. I noticed that Delta's anus was really dark, almost dirty looking. As soon as we got outside, he urinated for so long that I could tell he hadn't been in hours. The bowel movement that followed was runny and bloody. I realized the "dirty" look was due to dried blood. Delta strained to poop three times after that and blood poured and pooled from his butt. I asked Raymond had this been reported to him. He said no. 3. The workers did not notify Raymond that Delta was pooping blood, nor did they notify me so that I could get him medical treatment in a timely fashion. Raymond called to inquire, and the workers said they forgot to tell Raymond. Delta had a blood bowel movement that morning, evidently hadn't been out to relieve himself, therefore they didn't witness any more instances. 4. In the same breath as the apology from the workers, they told me my dog was being a "bad boy", trying "attack" other dogs. The two women working that morning called me directly to apologize for forgetting to report the issue. They shared that they had a dog that required special attention due to wounds and old age, had day care pets coming in, and that Delta was being a "bad boy" trying to "attack" and bite the other dogs from the other side of the cage. Getting him back inside and away from the other pets was really difficult, they said...So that's how they forgot to notify report a potential health concern - it was a lot going on to include my dog's behavior. I simply thanked them for the call, but my question is...My dog is pooping blood at this point. Not bloody stool, but actual blood, and he's trying to "attack"...why wasn't I called? If they couldn't care about his health, I'd think they'd care about the safety and peace of the other pets. My dog is not aggressive. He acts no different from other dogs who are playful and want to "get at" other dogs. But he is a one year old pit bull. This is the one opinion I'll provide in all of this: If he wasn't a pit bull, his behavior wouldn't be mistaken for "attacking" other dogs. Pit bulls can't jump, bark, or chase other animals without being judged harshly. Delta will pull me in an attempt to approach other dogs...to play. If he was being aggressive, something was wrong, but he shouldn't be blamed for any of this.
