Food has no flavor for the $ you pay. There food is not worth $1.00. It took awhile to get our food when we dinner in.

Usually this location is ok, but extremely slow. Today I ordered the onion rings that cost almost $4. I received 4...yes 4 onion rings for almost $4. Never again. Will not pay $1 per onion ring. What a rip off. read more

Stopped in to grab lunch and get back to work I ordered a grilled chicken sandwich a super sack of spuds well done and that was it to go. I wait 10 minutes I get my bag. I leave my mistake. I come back open my bag open my sandwich and my sandwich is deep-fried with wilted lettuce, disgusting pickles, and my super sack of spuds are Half cooked. The owner needs to go back in time and start serving the customers decent food instead of the slop that he finds in the garbage dump from Burger King. read more

Came here just for the pork tenderloin, and it did not disappoint. Paired with onion rings, it was perfect. Customer service was great. My hubs got the same thing but did not follow my directions to eat with mustard. He'll learn one day. Restaurant decor with all the old signs and diner feel is cute. Was surprised at how big the menu is, so much to try. Next time we are in the area, we will be back. I wanna try a shake, and they also have shredded chicken sandwiches. This was quite bad. My brother and I came to this Happy Daz because this fast food restaurant was the closest to Lima Memorial Hospital. My mother was having surgery and we thought the cafeteria food looked inedible. We also had eaten at the Happy Daz in the other side of Lima... which we had a good experience with. The place is comfortable... the fries were good... but the chicken was bland, tasteless even drenched in honey mustard. I think i ate two pieces of it... just couldn't finish it. got home and seen my A1 Swiss Burger that I added bacon to even paid for the bacon to be added, and they forgot the bacon. also.... when I opened the burger there was MUSTARD in the wrapper. the worker who gave us our food was nice but they cant handle being busy well at all. she forgot my milkshake and i had to remind her about it. I haven't called them yet because I'm just now seeing this and I'm 20 minutes from the restaurant now so really no point. read more

This restaurant is filthy. Went in for a quick sandwich. Could not even find a clean table to sit at. The carpet on the floor has not been changed since they opened years ago and my shoes stuck to the carpet. The ceiling tile had water damage and the air ducts were black with stuff hanging on them. The food was not good. I got a shredded chicken sandwich and my husband got a fish sandwich and a pop for $13.00. What a waste of time and money. The chicken was bland and the fish was dripping in grease. So sad that a local restaurant owner that owns many restaurants in this town can not even consider checking into his restaurants and updating needed renovations. Happy Daz food experience depends on the store you go to. South Cable Rd. Is the best store in Lima but they have no idea what a cheese curd is so don't order them. You will definitely get some mystery fried item instead. Chicken chunks are good, salads and mashed potato bowls are ok, tenderloins have been reduced to frozen Pete's pride pork patties. Burgers are good if you eat them in. If you take them home they often become hard as if it was microwaved. Milkshakes are delicious and pricey. Remember this is the best store. Every time we are in town my wife insists that we eat here. My wife always orders the tenderloin combo which she enjoys. She orders is 10/10 times! Her food is fresh and hot each time. This time, I ordered the Turkey Bacon Club wrap. It costs $6 but doesn't come with a side or drink which kind of sucks. Also, the meat is only in the middle of the wrap. It didn't come with the sauce on it as I asked. Overall, it was 6pm, no line and service was quick and friendly. Also, a cup of ice is 35 cents. Smh. Hard paper thin tenderloins, that are extremely dried out. Have tried to order from several different locations and they always get the orders wrong. Fries are terrible and always still slightly cold. Don't even bother to try the awful breakfast or bowls they make. In fact do yourself a favor and go anywhere else. read more

OK, I usually like Happy Daz but have been to other locations in the city. However, was in this one yesterday and ordered the porkloin sandwich and jalopean cheese nuggets. Then later I ordered a turtle sundae. Can't say I enjoyed any of it. The sandwich and cheese nuggets where both over fried. Well polished establishment with a kitchen sink approach to the menu. It's kind've like the antitheses to In-n-Out burger as there are as many side items as some places have sandwich choices. I always go with the tenderloin though. That's what they're best for. read more

Happy Daz has definitely gotten worse. Just came from Elida Road one. It's the filthiest place I've eaten in a long time! This has been my third trip there recently but I won't be back. Couldn't find a clean or semi clean table , had to wipe off the seats and table, food, mud, dirt, paper and who knows what all on the floor. A lot of help standing around but I guess cleaning wasn't their job. The dirt and grime and grease was ground into the booths and chairs. I didn't even want to sit on my seats in my car when I left. And, when I got home I stripped my clothes off because I sure wasn't going to sit on my furniture after sitting in that pig pen!! I would've given a negative star if I could've. Sam read more

Tonight was not the first time that this location has disappointed me. I thought I would give them another try since it has been months since the last time I was there. Wishing now that I would have went somewhere else. The front counter girl was rude and didn't even seem to want to be there. I ordered the toppings on my tenderloins on the side so that the veggies wouldn't get warm and soggy on the way home and I had to point out to her that I didn't see the veggies in a separate container and she huffed and told the cook I wanted them on the side and wouldn't admit that she messed up when taking the order. Then the cook and the manager were standing by the service window complaining and having a fit because they had to redo my sandwiches. Course by the time they finally got around to doing my tenderloins correctly the rest of my order was cold. I asked to have the rest of it remade since I had to wait for the tenderloins to be remade and was told I would have to pay for new ones since it would be considered a new order. Needless to say, by the time the cook got around to calling me a B!@#H because I wanted my stuff made right I was ready to go off.
